Huge selection of healthy vibrant fish you won't find anywhere else. The owner was very friendly and passionate, and was happy to talk to me about fish and answer any of my questions. It was wonderful to be able to have conversation with someone who loves fish as much as I do. The tanks are very well maintained and the livestock was flourishing. Several frag tanks filled with healthy corals and anemones. Good selection of equipment I haven't seen before either. I ended up leaving with a pair of fish I've dreamt of having for years! These fish are already flourishing in my ten gallon and aren't showing any signs of stress from transport, which is a nice change of pace from other stores I've bought fish from. Even if you're not going in to buy fish, I highly recommend this spot to admire the animals and have some friendly conversation!

Fantastic store with great customer service. Never pushy, but always inquisitive and helpful. I have limited space in a couple 40b tanks, but I still walked away with two recently surrendered angels and a stud of a praecox rainbow ( all already quarantined in store!) at a stellar price! The staff was up front about the history of the fish and any health issues they witnessed and treated. If I ever get into saltwater, I definitely know where to go to be begin. Thanks guys!

Came in on 12/18 and was greeted by Ray I believe. He was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The store itself is still getting the final touches but I liked what I saw. They are obviously doing a good job at keeping happy fish because there were eggs and/or fry in multiple freshwater and saltwater tanks. Will definitely be coming back here as soon as I am able to get a new tank set up.

Ray has been awesome to work with. He has answered countless questions for someone new to the saltwater side of the hobby. The store really is a sweet vibe for a new LFS. He’s got awesome displays of coral and all of the fish that have been in the store beyond their shipment day have all been super healthy and well fed. Did I mention the size of the Betta’s in this shop??? Biggest Betta’s I have seen! I was really amazed, and he gives them a REAL tank to swim around in not a dinky little bowl like some in the area. All in all, I recommend Ray and any of the help over at Inside Reef bar none! Thanks for providing a great experience, and I can’t wait to watch this store grow.

This place is amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable about everything to do with saltwater tanks. I am brand new to the hobby so I really appreciate their help. The corals and bubble anemone that I got from them are doing great. I would highly recommend them.

This review took me a few days for a couple of reasons. The first is that my tank is cloudy (my problem) and I wanted to get some good photos. The second was that I was given some sample wafers to try with my hillstream loaches I purchased here and see how they did. About a week later my little loaches are all very happy and healthy. All three are doing great! I have a tank that’s a bit big to try the method of food processing the algae wafers I was given and sprinkle them in - my catfish and dojo loaches went after it before I could see it sit for the hillstream loaches to go after it - when I drop in full wafers they only last about as long as it takes for them to soften up and then they are gone. I appreciated the samples tremendously and the fish seem to like them.This shop had the loaches I had been to several live fish stores looking for. As stated they are happy and healthy and all over the tank a week later. I would love to see more variety in the freshwater tropical fish they have for sale but they are fairly new and only open a few months so it is understandable that they are still figuring out what stock to keep. I was informed they have a process for special orders as well so if there is something you’ve been wanting and can’t find, these guys have you covered.They also have fry for sale from breeding pairs of angelfish and I believe a pair of cichlids I wasn’t familiar with the name. This impressed me as well because they are able to keep their fish healthy and conditions optimal for spawning as well as raising the babies.Overall it was a really good experience. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I will definitely be back.

Store is great!Solid selection of fish at fair prices! Very organized. Offers both Salt & Fresh water as well as supplies & food. Swing on by for yourself if you haven't already!I picked up a Bichir, some angels and they allowed me to adopt a Blind 5inch Turquoise Severum that they rescued from a 10 gallon tank, where it was raised. It now resides in my 180gal. When I adopted the fish he was pitch black, over the last week he's started to lighten up! Great people who care about the fish! Thanks again

Bought two oscars here after mine died from a secondary infection after treating it for Ick. Super helpful suggesting preventative care for these guys to make sure I don't have a repeat. They are super healthy because all the fish at the store get quarantined at the store before they are sold to make sure they are disease free. My wife and I will definitely be back. Super friendly, super helpful, and the fish are well taken care of.

I stopped in for the first time after taking a break from the hobby. Both guys working there were super friendly and knowledgeable, we talked for quite awhile before I picked up an orange storm clownfish and 2 corals for my 20 gallon nano. The corals look super healthy and the owners took great care of them even while they are still in the process of setting up the store. Thanks again for these beautiful creatures, the clown got along right away with my female I still had.

I recently purchased a 300 gallon acrylic aquarium and as I was about to install the bulkheads, I noticed a slight crack in the overflow. Specifically the area where I will be tightening down one of the bulkheads.I went around town looking for specifically Weld-On 4 and Weld-On 16 but wasn’t able to find them. I then stopped by InsideReef and spoke to the owner, Ray, and he was kind enough to let me borrow the acrylic solvent/cement that he had. He also provided me some pointers on how to fix the crack.I honestly can’t thank Ray enough for the help and info. Because of him, I was able to repair the crack sooner rather than later. Thanks a ton!

We will definitely be coming here for all our fish and aquarium accessories. The fish are far healthier then you'd ever find in a big name store and the staff is beyond personable and knowledgeable. They are more than willing to answer questions and are incredibly enthusiastic about their work. They walked us through setting up our first tank and gave us plenty of information. They can even order specific fish and accessories that you may be looking for, so there are plenty of options. They can also ship fish in the mail, and go to your house to set up more complicated aquariums. All in all 10/10, will be back.

Where do I start. I saw the shop at the beginning of November. They had just opened up. I talked to them about my cichlid tank, very knowledgeable. A couple weeks later while on vacation my tank crashed and it took out all 54 fish. I stop back into InsideReef, spoke with Ray and he was as devastated as I was. Right then and there he helps me to custom order all the cichlids I wanted, he gave me a killer deal. Couple weeks after quarantine at his shop and now my tank is becoming whole again. The guys at Insidereef were extraordinarily kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is a great new addition to the colorado springs fish scene. Definitely still up and coming, but they're already the most well stocked coral selection in town. Likewise, the staff are all super welcoming and knowledgeable on fresh and saltwater tanks.With the selection of livestock and their other goods, this can be your one stop shop to get anything you need for your hobby.Looking forward to watching them grow!

What an amazing experience. Not only does this LFS have saltwater and freshwater, they have the customer service and attention to detail that any fish keeper would be spoiled to have. Stopped in and was amazed at the selection of coral and saltwater fish! They had beautiful fresh water fish as well, with plants and cultures I dont see very often. Nice shop cool owners. I really like that they quarantine all fish in hypo salinity. The juvi short tail tang has quickly become the star of the tank.

Beautiful freshwater fish! The owner answered my questions and showed extensive knowledge of fresh and salt water fish. I purchased a small pleco for a reasonable price. The fish were active, healthy and alert. Individual tanks are serviced by independent filtration. A quarantine system is in place to insure animals are healthy.
