I had been considering adopting a cat for about a year now. I finally decided to pull the plug and began looking around at local shelters for kitties. I saw this guy and asked to see him. He was being kept in the back part of the shelter due to some behavioral issues but when I greeted him, he was extremely receptive and warm to me. I decided to adopt him that day! He hadn’t been neutered yet, but they did all neutering, shots, and microchip included within the adoption fee! The whole adoption process was really smooth and easy.He is doing great now in his new home, very happy. Thank you so much for changing my life for the better and giving me the blessing of companionship.

My cat Goblin had been missing for almost a year. A kind person trapped him and brought into the humane society and scanned him for a microchip. Fortunately, we had him chipped when we adopted him as a feral kitten. The Humane society contacted us immediately. What an incredible story he has to tell, if only he could talk...

Had an absolutely wonderful experience adopting my kitties. Every single person at the Humane Society I interacted with during the process was so extremely friendly. They were very thorough in explaining everything and ensuring my questions were answered. My kitties have some issues but I appreciate the medical/dental work the humane society did prior to adopting out, and I appreciate getting a pretty good medical history with both so I know how to continue care going forward. They must have been well-loved and socialized by staff because they've immediately opened up and been just beyond affectionate and cuddly. I just got them yesterday and I'm already sooo in love with my new babies!!

We adopted a puppy 5 weeks ago and we cannot say enough positive things about the experience. We have extensive rescue experience in another state, but this was our first Colorado pet adoption and everything was perfect. We dealt with several staff members and each was lovely and helpful. Our dog is absolutely amazing and as healthy as can be. Thank you to everyone who helped him on his way to our family! We will certainly adopt from this Humane Society again.

Very friendly , honest staff that truly care about you and your furry friend. They often have pets like Cats , Dogs , Rabbits , Rats , Ferrets , Turtles , etc. I love how clean the building is. This place is truly worth buying from. With the purchase of a pet you get one free checkup at the vet. Once in a while I will donate small items such as cat beds, cat toys, dog toys, etc. You can help them out by doing the same.

We had to put our dog down that we had for 11 years. This human society was very compassionate, caring workers (even got out a toy box for my younger kids to play with while I was dealing with the paperwork) and had affordable options. For easy to make an appointment online and I appreciate the attention and compassion the entire staff showed.

Live trapped my elderly cat and should have scanned her microchip in the field. They didn’t. They took her to the pound, caused injuries to her nose from the stress of being in a crate overnight. Then charged me $55 to get her back. They then have the audacity to send me an email telling me they are so happy to have reunited me with my pet!! Oh they did this twice. Hate this place.

Been there a few times checking on what I thought was my lost kitty. Gladly and sadly neither were mine, but the staff has been very empathetic and extremely informative on the steps to take to help towards a happy reunion. Very attentive and pay great attention to detail. Should my lil man get picked up I pray that if he doesn't make it home he at least makes it to this awesome group of stellar staff and I'll know he's in the best hands possible till he gets back. Thank you all for being so wonderful!

The staff here were professional and friendly. The facility is very clean, well thought out and much bigger than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend supporting this facility.

My husband and I have adopted two kitties from here and let me just say…WOW!!!! The staff is so caring to all of their animals and they run the center so professionally. The shelter is clean. The animals are all up to date on vaccines and well taken care of. They were spayed/neutered before we could pick them up.

We had a wonderful experience here. Found a new little friend and was able to bring him home the next day, due to his surgery. He's been a great addition and had already made himself quite at home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They took great care of our pup until he came home with us. They were so excited and happy for him to have found a new home. The place was clean and the animals were well taken care of, they all seemed to be at least comfortable if not happy.Good job everyone

Put a hold on a puppy and never heard back from them about when he was ready. Called and left a message and got no call back, called the next day and finally spoke to someone and was put on hold for 10 mins for her to come back and say I needed to talk to a manager. Was transferred to a manager who did not answer so I left another message, never received a call back again. Called a couple of hours later and just asked for a refund d since no one can tell me if the puppy is even alive anymore. Asked to be called to see what happened, never received a call back. Absolutely ridiculous and so frustrating. Spent money on new puppy stuff and they won't even tell me what's going on. I did get a refund but I would like to know what happened, that will determine if I ever look there again. They don't seem to care one bit about letting me know.Update: they adopted the puppy to someone else even though I had placed a choice hold first. They would have never told me I guess unless I called and called and called and forced someone to call me back. The absolute incompetence from top to bottom is ridiculous.

We had to surrender our dog Benelli to save her life due to not being able to afford the surgury from a regular emergency vet. The human society of pikes peak was thoughtful, caring and did everything they could to do a medical return to owner program. We got a call within 48 hrs saying her surgurt was done and that they wanted used to have her back for her quality of life. They blessed us beyond measure and cannot think the team enough that took part in it. We were in a really tough spot and they not only rook care of my family's dog to save her life but got her back to us when they didn't have too. Thank you! We are forever grateful!

Day 3 Khloe is doing great! Much better than I had anticipated just because she was so nervous. I think just all the action at once was a bit much. Nothing you can do about that but be patient. Current status happy happy dog.

Great staff and great prices for those unable to take to a regular local vet, they were very respectful of our dogs, 1 being 'covid gen dog' who doesn't like anyone but us, but they allowed the time for her to actually get the exam and shots in the most friendly manner. I was so impressed by their love for animals and their caretakers.

Honestly the animal law enforcement on phones are A HOLES , when i called I had a nasty women on the phone, constantly cutting me off and get nasty if you don’t understand her questions. I respect and understand they got a job to do, but at the same time I don’t need a nasty women getting mad for not knowing the full address off the top of my head. Again I respect they got a job to do but a little more compassion and less cutting people off when there are speaking would be great. I think they need new/more phone training with the workers in that area. This World is already filled with nasty people, we don’t need anymore.

First off, the veterinary service portion of the facility has been fantastic for our pets. However, the main adoption facility touts it wants to find forever homes for animals, but their visitation policy will probably cause more pets to be re-surrendered or flat out abandoned. We have been told on numerous visits that no one is allowed to visit animals that are 6 months of age or less. How is it that a family is supposed to see if a pet fits their family? If you never get to interact with the animal, you have no idea if it is potentially aggressive (which there are numerous negative reviews about) or has any number of behavioral issues. We were told that the facility does its own "assessment" to look for these behaviors, but that makes no sense. An animal could act totally different around one person than another. They also told us this is for the animal's safety so there isn't a lot of "exposure" to pathogens. Instead, they said you have to go off of looks alone. This is also not to mention that they estimate the age of animals, so they have no way of knowing for sure if the age of their animals is actually 6 months. It's a ridiculous policy and clearly they want people to blindly pay money and if it doesn't work out, they get to make more money on the surrender. It's not about the pets or their safety, c'mon.

Great people!!! I always just picked strays up and kept them. I never did the humane society route, it was crazy cheap and they gave our dog the required vaccinations and spayed her! The people truly cared about the animals they were very informative and kind!!!

You wanna read this before doing any business with the Humane Society in Colorado.I adopted Layla 2 years ago at the Humane Society in Colorado Springs. At the time she was only 12 weeks old. She slowly grew into some aggression with food and guarding with my other dogs. I knew it would be best for her to be in a home by herself with no other pets. I surrendered her last week. 2 weeks later they adopted layla out to a lady that has dogs. And of course you know it she attacked her dog and the owners hand. They brought her back to the humane society and put her on the euthanized list because of her tendencies.Behavior specialist you failed. They do not know what there doing just guessing. How is this right or fair for the dog when you put her back in a home with dogs? Why should she be euthanized from your failure of putting her in a safe environment. Also the other possible owner in danger? We got Layla back in our home now because I couldn’t deal with her being euthanized. They are not a shelter just a pet manager to make money.

We had to surrender a dog that was kind of a stray thrust onto us be another... the staff were very caring, understanding, kind, and professional. Although not really our dog, they let us have the time to say bye to her. We really hope they find her a good home, and gave us an I.D. number and phone where they said we could call anytime to check on her and see if she is okay and gets adopted. They made a very sad experience much more bearable. Appreciate them so much.

I recently had to call the Humane Society to report a distressing situation involving a dog left outside without food, water, or shelter in below-freezing temperatures and strong winds. The Humane Society's quick response was truly commendable. Animal control arrived within half an hour, addressing the urgent situation promptly and ensuring the dog's safety. I'm thoroughly impressed and immensely grateful for the dedication of our local animal law enforcement officers. Their swift action undoubtedly made a difference for the suffering dog, and I appreciate their commitment to the welfare of animals in our community.

Was told the expected wait time to surrender our dog was 1 hour, turned around and have been sitting here for 3 hours. This lady walks in with her Pitbull and makes our dog agitated was asked to leave because our dog seemed to stressed. Told us they would call us when they were ready. Only one person helping people, and there’s a line out the door. Great customer service…
