I was just in there shopping for my nephews new apartment and the bald headed dude in there accused me of stealing. I showed him my purse. There was nothing in it. He screamed at me out the door saying "you don't have a car." I've never been so humiliated in my life. I will NEVER spend my money at a Dollar General again. These employees need to learn how to treat a customer.

Has snacks, tv dinner, misc cleaning supplies, some home decor. They even sell cigarettes. No Lucky strikes cigarette brands though. They have the cheap Montego cigarettes for $6 something. Montego sucks but its cheap compared to every pack being $9 something.

A lot of great deals here! Store is very clean and every time I been here all member staff and cashiers are very kind, patient and friendly. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Wish I could give this place a zero. Just trying to save money so I shop on Saturday. I got 5 items with coupons in the app it showed $10.50. At the register it rang up $15 so I showed the manager the coupons and she just shrugged her shoulders as if I was trying to get over on them. She was no help at all i stepped out of line to place the order on the app mind you I had already shopped for all my items. Order placed online, I let her know she said I can’t pick it up until tomorrow. This morning on the app out of spite the lady lied that one of my items was out of stock. How is that when I had shopped for everything already the day prior and she even said I could pick it up tomorrow. Frustrated is an understatement people are so hateful. So my purchase ended up going up $3 dollars because she lied and said my dish soap was out of stock. I was just trying to save some money but I will no longer be shopping at this location and am disappointed with how bad society is becoming. Common courtesy doesn’t exist anymore.

Clean, a bit cluttered and easy to navigate. Much faster for odds and ends than grocery store would be. Very little foot traffic in this store, so good for social distancing. Cashier was extremely pleasant and helpful.

This store has the best manager- Becky S. , her staff is amazing. They all are friendly and always willing to help you find a product you are looking for. The store is always kept up- clean- stocked- making sure items are put back in the correct place. To the big wigs: YOU HAVE A GRAT CREW AT THIS STORE, THEY ALL DESERVE A RAISE SND BONUSES.

Shopping at Dollar General, was a bit of a surprise. From reading their weekly sales ads, as well as seeing the name of the store, I had the impression I'd be shopping at a discount store. Far from it! These are pricey little stores. Kind of like 7/Eleven. Very clean both in and out, pleasant staff but 'price wise' the store prices in Security/Widefield are much higher than the Family Dollar in the same area. Warm regards, Ted K.

Not truly a dollar store and honestly it's not any cheaper than shopping anywhere else. Alittle dirty and disorganized in there to. Convenient location so will shop there occasionally.

Can be hard to find items (out of stock) but they’re always busy. Prices as advertised are not what rings up. Be prepared to see a lower price on the shelf than what you pay at the register.

for anyone looking for a deal: Don't believe the hype.Widefield store is a nightmare! I've visited multiple stores that are ALL filthy, you can't move around, they have little in stock, and the employees could care less. One store 4 weeks in a row, had their computer systems shut down every 2 minutes. Each time I was there more than an hour and once for 3. Then the manager had the gall to come up front and accost me for being there so close to closing. I politely advised her I had been waiting for the register to come up. She was so rude I finally put all my items back and said I'd never be back. She said it was fine and then told the employee who was actually nice, checking me out, that she could blame ME for having to put it all back?! Same manager was swearing at another employee in front of children the week before. I had about 300$ in toys that day. Their digital coupons rarely work and if you even attempt to use the paper coupons they try to pull you into the store with the employees role their eyes. In fact, the aforementioned manager told an employee that she hated couponers right in front of me. I was trying to use 1 paper coupon? I'm not a plague or a nuisance but now I'm mad that I cowered to their attitudes and still gave them money so long. I've visited other stores where the employees are sometimes friendly but super unprofessional still complaining about checking out people when they had other work to do. I get it, I've worked retail. But you can't talk like this. The manager told me this was the worst district she had ever worked in. I live less than 1 mile from a dollar general and can no longer have the convenience of shopping there because they mess up and charge my card multiple times, the system goes down and I'm there for hours, or they are out of products or treat me so terribly that I feel angry at myself after I leave. The only power I have is my money and I will make sure I'm never a part of this again. Also, good luck trying to get their app to work while in store--whether on network or wifi. I tried multiple phones at different stores. Seems like they don't want you to actually use it when you're there? Be Wary!! Your money is your power. Plenty of other stores would be happy to have you as a customer with less of a hassle.

The people who work they're at the Dollar General are very nice and very helpful. All the people I have met will talks to you when u walk in the door and when you are at their cash register. If I can help it I prefer to go to the Dollar General than I do Walmart thats up the street.

Friendly and helpful customer service. Great variety of basic food items at good prices...saves me from a trip to wal mart! Convenient location...dont have to walk a mile from the parking lot to the store....store is clean and well organized. 5 stars!!!

This is a great store very well organized, it has food, eggs milk cereal ,it has some clothes ,medicines, hygiene, stationary, automotive, cards ,toys,gifts so whenyou don't feel like braving the big crowds at walmart

I like the store but there is a very ride woman who works there. She is very mean and hateful to people who appear homeless. I have watched her make a homeless woman cry and then call the cops on her just because she had been walking all day and stopped to rest for five minutes on the sidewalk. What a shame.

ABSOLUTELY RUDE STAFF!!! PRISCILLA showed INTOLERANCE & ATTITUDE when asked to be let into the restroom (which were DISGUSTING!) Upon checkout (again by PRISCILLA) was NOT GREETED, NO EYE CONTACT, & MADE NO ATTEMPT TO RESPOND AS I SPOKE ABOUT SOMETHING I WAS PURCHASING. When I asked about credit option, says "What does it say at bottom of screen?" Rather than simply INFORMING me of which one. Which is EXTREMELY BELITTLING to ANY CUSTOMER, when every other terminal you check out at is DIFFERENT!! Not to mention a waste of MINE & THEIR TIME!!!
