This place has turned into a joke. They are never stocked up. Even on basic feeds. Their prices are never correct. I found a product for 26. It rang up to 39. The manager on duty an older guy working Tuesday night said he couldn’t do anything but give me a small discount. No. It wasn’t my fault you guys can’t get your prices right. The new manager seems like he just doesn’t care. It used to be so well stocked with amazing managers. Now there are new ones all of a sudden. Since the store manager Mike has left this place has gone downhill drastically. It is a shame that no one in management cares. Nothing stocked up, rude managers, some regular products gone. The employees seem so unhappy nowadays. And it all goes up to get the right management to actually care about the employees. It used to be a good place to go. What a shame how far downhill out has gone since Mike has left. Or even the girl manager Julia. Fix your store. Fix your managers. No wonder you only see a couple familiar faces.

Came in here after a horrible experience at Lowe's. We came in asked about snowblowers, management was called to find ones, said they would call around and would contact me when they knew anything. MAYBE 10 minutes. AMAZING SERVICE!!!!

Crew is always nice to me and helpful, I can usaly get everything I need in 1 stop. The guys in guns are very knowledgeable and friendly.Only frustrating thing is they don't put prices on things, I'd pry buy it if I knew how much it was. Doesn't make sence to not put prices on items in a store, even garage sales have price tags, but a big cooperate store doesn't?

I love the employees here, the cashier (cici) is one of the nicest and she makes shopping there an amazing experience other employees are very helpful (Will helped me find the proper alpaca feed for my live stock and was super nice about it and even helped me load the bag of feed)

This Big R has the best customer service out of any big r! They really care about their customers and you can feel it, this is my go to store for my ammo and livestock needs!Thank you Jason and all the employees for your hard work!

Update 10/5/2020 I asked the only staff available on the floor, (sporting goods) for the price of carriage bolts as they are not listed. He did not know and just stiod there with his arms crossed. I went to the front and asked, getting the answer that the parts are sold by the pound. When I returned, the sporting goods employee walked over to me and asked If I got my answer. I told him it is by the pound. Perhaps I can recieve compensation for training this employee.I get so frustrated with those that work the back at this location. Very unhelpful.I get exceptional service from the front of the house. However, every time something has to be radioed to the back, I hear irritation ad additude. Recently, I gave a concern to the employees in the back about false advertising to no avail. There is 12 percent protein bird food advertised as 30 percent. Excellent in the front, boo in the back.

I went in to buy 1 thing about an hour before close. Now my family member was a closing cashier so she can't ring me out. There was another cashier, Jeremy, who was standing up their with his vest on. I said "hey, I need a different cashier." Jeremy answered in the rudest tone of voice and scoffed at me and said "well you're out of luck, I'm off the clock, it's not my problem," and stormed out without even offering to radio for someone else. Now, I don't expect him to work off the clock, but that is unacceptable behavior and the worst customer service I've ever had. Definitely not what Big R is known for.

This is the absolute worst Big R in the state. The manager and most of the employees are absolute trash, incompetent doofuses. Always out of stock. No clue what's happening and too busy playing grabass or just generally unwilling to work. I'll NEVER be in that store again. Complete trash. They should have just reopened the old Alco store that was there

i like when a owner(s) step out of the box (monument, fountain, falcon and powers & constitution stores) and takes a gamble to bring a new product in. I accidentally ran across it Christmas shopping (2019) just after Thanksgiving last year. went home and did my research on it and was impressed. went back to the store and easy spent $100.00 plus on this product and shared them with family and friends. Followed the instructions per the bottle and been using it since the first part of December on multiple vehicles of mine. it has done what it says it is going to do so far. Made in the USA. Also, thank you for carrying this product and supporting a local business. Been tracking my fuel mileage. It has put money back in my pocket. between me and my coworkers using it. There has been a variance when they have seen the a difference from within a 1/2 tank from the initial tank fill up until the 4th tank fill up. Also works great with small engines and 2 cycle equipment. Manufacturer is great responding on technical questions.Update: Big R has decided they will not be reordering/ restocking this product at this time. there is some limited quantities left between stores. if this product has worked for you. just go to the vendors website or call them. they do have a couple of new bottle options on there too.

I love the staff here! They are always knowledgeable and willing to help you out in finding what you need and recommend products and items to meet your needs. We are new to chickens, and we recently bought a trailer to pull behind our truck. They were awesome at helping us figure out what was wrong with the wiring of the trailer and guiding us with the chickens. They've recommended food and water dishes, bedding, and supplements and helped me decide when to upgrade from chick to chicken feed. I've researched on my own, of course, but asking these experienced folks their opinion is invaluable.

I returned an item and the lady at the register with the short gray hair was rude and act like I was stealing from her by returning the item. Then I asked her another question and she was short and snotty. If you don't like your job find a different one you are there to deal with the customers.

My review is mostly of the workers at Big R. Twice I have been there are around the same time of day, 6pm. Yesterday I went in and had the same experience as my previous visit. All of the workers were congregated around the cash registers talking. Any time we asked for assistance with the fitting room or asking where something was, they would act like they were being inconvenienced. Some would roll their eyes or not even acknowledge my husband and I. We stood at the gun case and then later at the register for quite a while before any of the associates asked if we needed anything. Even the managers were rude and unfriendly. This made our experience at Big R very uncomfortable. We are just going to Bass Pro or Scheels from now on.

Three stars just for the staff, they were great. Management keeps it from getting the 5 stars it deserves. We needed assistance with some boots, that we would have purchased. As well as other customers that were waiting. The manager was notified that customers were waiting. To which he told staff that he was on the phone and "didn't know how long he'd be". Quite an inconvenience to customers, who need assistance that staff can't handle. It's one thing to be "stuck" on the phone but another to choose to stay on a call with a vendor that you work with knowing you have paying customers waiting.

I Have have been going to this store since they opened, overall they have been a great group of people. I really want to give a Shout out to Devon, two weeks in a row when I was getting grain this young Man stopped stocking his shelves and came over to offer to load my grain. I did make a point to seek out and manager and let them know that young man understands customer service in a big way. Thank you Devon for making my long day a whole lot better.

We love going to this store. It's our staple for snacks and supplies for when we're about to head out fishing. How can you not love a dog friendly place?The bulk dog snack bin is my and my puppers favorite.Also the gentleman that typically works the counter for fishing licenses is an absolute gem! I adore him and appreciate the amazing service he provides whenever we renew our licenses.Thank you sir!

Very racist store!!!!!! Racial profiling! Do not shop here! I came in with a return and before I could get past the door some lady grabbed my bag out of the cart and refused to give it to me, insisted that she take it to the register for me. I do not steal and had the receipt with me! Until I return the item it belongs to me! Most recently I wanted to by an item that was at least $10 less locally and online, per the Big R policy - (as follows)Big R will match pricing at stores for local (not online) and legitimate competitors. Items must be exact brand, make, model. We will match regular or sale pricing, but not match clearance, closeout or similar typed pricing. Please see your local store for more information and be sure to provide the advertisement you want matched." Does the head cashier not know the price match policy or is it the same rude treatment that is becoming so common at this store. Cece and the other cashiers are rude and undereducated on their own policies! I was told prices are going up everywhere! True! But do you price match! Or just not for a minority? Just save yourself and go to the store on Powers.

The chicks are back!! The employee said they get a new shipment of them each week. When we visited yesterday, they had different variety of chickens plus turkey babies, so adorable! The staff was cleaning up their bins and giving them fresh straw/food/water.We actually visited for the men’s work pants since my husband keeps tearing his brand new pants at work. We found some wranglers that were labeled “technician” that weren’t too heavy like most of the pants there. Hubby said he gets too hot and weighed down wearing them, although I’d love for him to have that extra protection (I’m just the wife, can’t tell him anything am I right?!). We’ll see how these hold up. We also wanted a flannel shirt but these were fleece-lined, again to hot for use in Texas. That’s okay, we can hit up Cabelas when we get back home to the dirty south.The staff were great, we ended up standing in a long checkout line but it moved quickly. If you have feed or farming needs, hit up Big R!

The customer service is atrocious. Customers are nothing but in the way for these workers who will plow you over with their stocking equipment rather than go down a different aisle to get to their stock room/area. They’ll also do it without saying a word (zero basic manners). The customer service at the checkout is ALWAYS a disappointment. The girls have zero idea how to be polite. Here’s a small hint - say hello, verbally state the total, then tell your paying customers (the ones ensuring you have a job) to have a nice day/afternoon/evening. Also, get this store a manager that can actually manage and coach this angry team that clearly hate their jobs.

Dont trust their online gun inventory. Website said they had 6 in stock gun models, I made a trip out to the store, they had zero in stock. Thank you Big R for wasting my time. The guy behind the gun counter was friendly and informative. Told me their website is constantly wrong with their inventory numbers. If they are constantly wrong, might be something they wanna fix.

Good products and usually friendly people, but either not all of their cashiers know how to do a military discount, or they just can't do math correctly.I showed my military ID and requested the military discount. Their immediate response was to ask if I had a loyalty card. Never needed one before for the discount, but I figured, "Sure. Let's get one." Got it rung up and it looked off and I mentioned so. Cashier replied the discount is only 5 percent now. Did the math real quick as I left and I only got 3 percent. Not a ton of money either way, but it is annoying.++Clarification++ I was not bothered by the change in the military discount policy. I still feel awkward asking for it, even at places that I know have a discount. I was bothered by the uncertainty that arose when the cashier gave me conflicting info on the new percentage rate versus what showed up on the register. Apparently, she was not fully aware of the two different rates for different categories of items. It's just disconcerting when someone tells you they are charging you one price and the receipt tells you differently.

I called for a price over the phone and was given a price but when i got to the store the price was jacked up. This is horrible customer service, next time check the price don't just gues.

The people are nice and the selection is good. They like selling quality where they can it seems.The prices are good value for money. I use quite a few products from them as they are near us. Highly recommend.
