We stayed at Big Horn 2 years in a row, mainly because the host was so nice and accommodating. We arrived at 4:40 pm and asked where the closest store was to buy milk, for my Corgi. Brenda said the closest place was 5 miles away and closed at 5pm. I couldn't make it in time and she volunteered to drive there and get my milk and wouldn't even let me give her money for gas, then when she got back, she got me a bag of quarters for the laundromat. This really restored my faith in humanity. The park is very nice as well and right on the Arkansas River. Quite scenic. Love this place. Thank you Brenda for everything.

This RV park is great. Super friendly owners.Great prices. There is amazing views both in front and back. There is a walking path down to a small beach by the river with spectacular views of the sunrise. 30 min drive to the Royal Gorge along the Arkansas river. We highly recommend this RV park.Nearby activities: Close to the Royal Gorge.

Easy to find and pull in, sites nice size. Has a swimming pool.Had the rare fortune to see a herd of Bighorn Rams then a Bald Eagle's nest, old, I think, and access to the Arkansas River, much cleaner in CO than in Arkansas. Surrounded by the beautiful Rockies, the majesty was almost overwhelming.Only negative is the hwy noise. Our bedroom was turned to where I was awakened or couldn't go to sleep easily.Otherwise, highly recommend this rv park. You can tell the people who own it love what they're doing. Got to visit with her, she was awesome and so helpful and super friendly!

Brenda was super nice and helpful. The property was in great shape, clean and great location. Being off Highway 50 was still fairly quiet. River access was nice. We stayed in lot 25 which we loved being on end. Understandable about no fire pits but missed that while camping. Too windy anyway!

Owners are friendliest people you'll ever meet. And this place has all the amenities: Full hookups, showers, laundry, general store, propane re-fill, pool, horseshoe pit, volleyball court, live music every other weekend, riverside fishing, cabins, you name it. Our kids all had a great time.

Nice little park right off the highway. The highway is much quieter at night, I had no trouble sleeping. I was there on a Friday night and they had a donation based taco bar and some really nice live music. The staff goes above and beyond to make people feel welcome. Propane is available on site. Reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again!

Unique t-shirtsJust happened upon this site by accident. I was really thrilled with the unique assortment of t-shirts. Actually bought 2 shirts for my husband’s birthday. Beautiful park with the absolute most friendly staff/campers! We got to hear a couple perform that were amazing and got to witness this double rainbow all in the same evening. We also got to see some bighorn sheep on the side of the mountain. It is located right on the river so floating/fishing is easily accessible. Highly recommended staying here!

Location and mountain views amazing! Nice folks! Really go the distance finding space without much notice...lots of guidance about the area and offers to set up activities. Did I mention the direct access to the Arkansas River lol? Pics are biking on a road across the street.

My husband and our friends stayed for 4 nights in cabin 6 which is wonderful. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, one newly remodeled bathroom & kitchen. Also beautiful fireplace with wood provided. The cabin is stocked with clean towels, linens, and kitchen dishes soap, and dish towels were supplied. The owner's are warm and inviting as well as the staff. The property is well kept and clean. Love it!💜❤

What makes Bighorn amazing is the hosts: wonderful people that really go above and beyond. (e.g. Aaron will personally lead you to your spot on his bike then help you get situated best on the spot given your rig.). The big deck behind the office overlooks the river and is great place to hang out, stare at the water or the wildlife, and sometimes listen to live music. The location next to the river is nice. The cabins look terrific inside (didn't stay in one). The playground and the pool are great for kids. The spots are level, and the full hookups work great. For my tastes, the place is lacking in trees and shade--really noticeable this extra hot summer. Also, we like to spend time in Salida and points beyond, and Bighorn makes those destinations just a bit further away. But that's about our use case--the location might be perfect for you. The people certainly will be!

Awesome stay thanks to the hosts! We were supposed to stay 2 nights in one spot then move for our other 2 nights across the row but Aaron worked some magic and we were able to stay all 4 nights in one spot! We are also 44ft and he made sure we fit comfortably! Kids had a blast at the play ground and taking walks down to the river.

Great RV park clean restrooms and shower. But beyond that the owner operator and his wife are the most awesome Host you could ever meet they will literally give you the shirt off their back And will bend over backwards to make sure you are OK and even help you fix your RV. I recommend this place not for just a great RV park close to the river but some of the most awesome owner operator that I have ever met will be back. Thanks for you hospitality and making us feel like family. Thank you Aaron and Brenda and Brenda next time I will try the duck eggs thank you.

Beautiful place to stay right on the Ar-Kansas river! ;) Stayed the night in an RV with my family. The owners were extremely accommodating to us showing up late and allowed us to pay in the morning. The owner was extremely nice and gave us several recommendations of places to go and things to do in Salida. I would definitely recommend you stay at this RV spot!

This RV park with cabins is a wonderful hidden gem. The river along one side and the mountains along the other, you can’t find better views. We had plenty of space between us and our neighbors and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly the whole time we were here. Completely recommend!!

Absolutely perfect. Doug and Judy run the place and do it WELL. Made a couple of fly fishermen from Arkansas feel like family. Great river location and check out the deck behind the office/shop. It's a great place to unwind! Restroom facilities are super clean. Can you tell I loved staying there?

Aaron and Brenda are so nice. We had a little flood in our camper and they were so helpful. Then we had a flat tire on our truck and they even offered their vehicle to us to have tire repaired. The camping is great, the cabins too as our kids came and stayed 1 week there

It's not a bad place maybe if you need to stop overnight or have something going on in the area and you need to stay just one night. Although I am not used to hearing all of the road noise from highway 50!!! and DO NOT!! forget to bring your Surge Protector absolutely necessary!!! I didn't bring mine I got two heavy power surges one of them completely took out the fan and my bathroom, I left early because of this. The park is cute, it has a swimming pool, and a playground, and cabins for the family, great music on weekends and staff very friendly and kind. Most important do not forget a Surge Protector!!!!

Great place to stay. RV spots are level & very well taken care of. The price is fantastic for full hookups. The owners Aaron & Brenda are very accommodating if space is allowed. We came in with a fifth wheel pulling a utility trailer with our toys & Aaron helped unhook the 2nd trailer & then got us positioned just right with our fifth wheel so we had plenty of room along with porch area. Employees are very friendly. They all are willing to give advise about the area. Very helpful! Oh & the river was just a few yards from our spot.

AWESOME! Part of what makes this park so great is the staff. They're super friendly! Also, the campground's really clean (I've never seen such clean bathrooms in my life :P). It has horseshoes, a clean swimming pool, a community fire pit, a little playground, a volleyball court, and tetherball, along with river access. We enjoyed ourselves with all those things and had an awesome experience. :)

Beautiful location and wonderful people. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and were given electric hookup for our camper. Live music, riverside view, and amazing restrooms/showers.

This place was quiet and made for a great Holiday stay. Great views, clean and the owners and manager were nothing but kind. Super accommodating. I will highly recommend the park and hope to go back soon. We got to see big horn sheep, buck and a bald eagle. Couldn't ask for better

WOW! What an amazing time our group had. Everyone there was so pleasant, easy going and FUN! From making reservations, updating them , arriving and departing, we felt welcomed and really enjoyed our time there. The kids had a blast, campgrounds are clean and orderly, we had great access to the river and we even had internet service! We will definitely be back!

Right along the Arkansas River, always a nice relaxing place to go. Has always been booked and full all summer long as the hospitality is excellent. Motel rooms, cabins, bunk houses, RV spots and tent sites. Has a pool and a playground, lots of lawn to play on and a river side to sit and relax by. Call ahead and book a spot as it's always enjoyable for everyone.
