Had a wonderful visit at the Lake- cabin and area clean, Marina and waterfront area clean and in excellent shape. Had a wonderful sunset as bonus. Stayed here as a base for hiking in Zirkel Wilderness, Wyoming Trail, etc.

Wow! Rented a boat.....they met us at the car, they loaded our stuff, and took it to the boat. Who does that? Soooo friendly, fun, professional. Great equipment, clean facility! We had 10 people on board, all agreed it was one of the best days ever. Well done Steamboat Lake Marina Crew! GO!

So far our favorite Colorado lake we have found this summer. Water is a bit chiller then on the front range but it's quickly adaptable once to take in the picturess scenery.

The boats are in good condition and staff is generally pretty friendly and helpful. However, they could really use some training in ADA law and how they treat people with disabilities.My husband has a service dog and was told by staff that we needed to pay their $25 pet fee to take him on the boat. When my husband told them it was not legal to charge for a service animal, they told him that wasn’t a law in Colorado. We let them know that it is a federal law and still had to fight with them to get the charge dropped, even after showing them this law. They finally agreed to drop the charge, but told us that’s only for this time, and that we’ll be expected to pay the pet fee next time.Our family has rented boats from SLM each year for the past 6 years. Sadly, this recent encounter will make us think twice before going back again. Their illegal practice of charging for service animals, and therefore discriminating against people with disabilities needs to stop before I’ll think about returning.

About a 40 minute scenic drive north of town--far enough from town that it doesn't get the crowds.We rented three tandem kayaks for a family outing and got really nice Old Town kayaks.The lake is huge for paddling and has large sections that are no-wake, so great for small craft! Staff is nice and was chill about us being a bit late from traffic (stuck behind a cement truck from Steamboat to Craig).

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful during our visits. This lake was so nice we came TWICE in one week. Both times we rented the same boat and had just as good of an experience each time. We enjoyed this place so much and will definitely be back!

Wow! What a comfortable and majestic little spot! Wildflowers blooming everywhere, quick walk to both private and group bathrooms! Quick walk to the swim beach and marina. Cabin was great! Clean and had everything we needed. Only complaint is the lack of railing on the bunk beds. There is only about a 1-2 inch lip between mattress and edge. My 13 year old son rolled over in his sleep and fell off. Thankfully, just bruised, but could have been a trip to the hospital. I would recommend lining your bags along the edge to prevent kiddo from rolling off or bring a clip on rail.

I had an excellent experience with the employees at the marina. I rented the pontoon boat. They had it ready early, cleaned, filled up in a great shape prior to my arrival. They were very efficient and very helpful and explained everything in detail and made it easy to understand. They made my boating experience very enjoyable as well as for my kids and grandkids. What a bunch of eager and enthusiastic employees. And the boat was in great shape and made for a great day.

The entire experience was wonderful. We went when the lake was closed, but there is still plenty to do in the area: hiking, biking, horse back riding, etc. The cabin was cozy and just right. You have to be ready to know that bathrooms are not attached and there is no kitchen in the cabin. However, with the right planning, you can have a wonderful stay here. They have a small refrigerator and coffee machine for your convenience on grilling outdoors. The views are spectacular both during the day and clear nights!

These guys were totally awesome. We got on our assigned boat and the crew noticed the grill wasn't up to their standards so they quickly moved us to another boat without a moment of hesitation. The place was slammed and the staff kept smiles on their faces and handled it like pros.

Delightful experience renting single kayaks. Staff was very nice. Be sure and review the map to help you explore more effectively. There is an eagles nest somewhere, that we heard about from fisherman the next day that can be seen from the water without disturbing the birds. FYI when you return there is a swim ladder to access from the end of one of the docks. Makes a more graceful exit.

My family and I recently took a trip to Steamboat for a small getaway and decided to rent a pontoon boat from here. The Marina staff were friendly, helpful, polite and courteous even during this pandemic. Social distancing and mask mandates were required and the boat we rented was disinfected thoroughly. I cannot express the full gratitude I have for this establishment. Being on the lake really made my family enjoy this state that we love so much. Having a little bit of normalcy really made their summer.Thank you and we will be sure to rent from Steamboat Lake Marina when we come back.I highly recommend checking this place out.

We camped at Bridge Island for the weekend. We had an amazing time. However, my experience at the Steamboat Lake Marina was pretty bad. I walked into the marina on 8/24 to buy a couple of items. There was no greeting from the workers and no assistance. I had to walk up to the counter to get help. There were four workers talking among themselves and leaning on the counter. They demonstrated no interest in helping their customers. When I was told they didn’t have the item I came in to purchase, I asked where I could find it. I was told to try the Roadhouse. I then asked for directions. The response I got was condescending to say the least. It took three people to give me directions three miles down the road because apparently they didn’t think I understood. When I walked away all four of them laughed at me. I put back everything I had in my hands and did not spend a dime there. They made me so uncomfortable that I will never step foot in that marina again.It is unbelievable that these workers don’t treat their customers with respect. Customer service is the most important aspect of any business. These workers need to be properly trained on how to interact with their customers. It is fairly simple. Greet your customers, make them feel welcome, ask if you can assist them, assist them, and thank them for coming in. One tip: Do not make them feel stupid for asking directions when they are from out of town. I don't want to rate this experience with one single star. We also asked for the Manager's/Owner's name to let him/her know about the service, so he/she could correct it, but we were told he doesn't give his number out, so there is no way to contact him. The service was unbelievably bad!

If you are planning on camping in the Steamboat Lake/Pearl Lake area, you have to take a day and rent a boat from this place. Totally top notch! In this day and age, it's all about value and this marina offers you a great value. From the guys running the shop, to the clean boats (all pontoons equipped with BBQ's by the way) everything was easy and painless. The best part was probably the fact that fuel is included in the price of the rental. I live in an area with a large tourist lake that does boat rentals as well and ALWAYS fuel is an extra add on, which can end up being almost the cost of the rental alone.All in all, I highly recommend this place for a great day out on the water!

We had disappointing time with a pontoon rental that had mechanical problems here a couple years ago. While we didn’t get out in the pontoon as planned it is a beautiful area and a decent place for a picnic.
