My family and I just got done with a cross-country trip and just happened to stop by due to the road construction being done nearby. I’m so glad my wife had to use the restroom so badly, or we would have missed this great store.The owner was super cool and there was a great selection of beautiful rocks. Personally I’m not really a rock person, but my daughter loves them. I got her a pretty one for a fraction of the cost I’m used to seeing at the malls back home. I also snagged myself a Newberry’s Store hat that I wore for the rest of our trip.Out of all the places we visited during our trip across the country, Newberry’s Store is near the top of my list. Great service and great value. Would definitely make a detour to stop by here if I’m ever in Colorado again.

We pulled over at this place during a road trip, and I have to say this was the most interesting gas station I’ve ever been in! Between the collection of rocks and the interesting (but also very nice and helpful) employees, it ended up being a fun little stop during our road trip. Also the cemetery next to it is SO COOL! And a great spot to take some beautiful pictures!

I LOVE Newberry’s store! Best child hood and as an adult core memories that I will always treasure. From good gas, a cold soda, road trip snacks, t-shirts and sweaters and so much more you will enjoy the vibe and fast friendly service there at Newberry’s store. FULL of the coolest history and people :)

A place to get gas and a cup of coffee when driving between Montrose and Gunnison. Gas is expensive but it is better than walking because you ran out of gas. Folks are always glad to see you when you stop. Coffee is nothing special but it is hot and good. Lots of things to look at if needing a present or trinkets.

Awesome little gas station rock shop fishing supplies store. The owner was incredible, he climbed the wall in the canyon.

Great place to stop for groceries, snacks and gas. Very convenient and within walking distance to buy firewood while camping at the Cimarron Curricanti Recreational Campground. The two owners are awesome, full of information and history of the area. Definitely take a break from traveling, sit on their bench and enjoy an ice cream bar!!

The man who runs this store is excellent. There’s a wide selection of different crystals and fossils, all of which ate priced very very well. The owners family has run this store forever, so he knows the history of Cimarron and has great resources to learn more. Go here.

My husband and I arrived at the last minute to buy rocks and fishing licenses and was still treated nice. Small store with great personality! We make a stop there on our way to Telluride. Take some time and stop at this store, you won't be disappointed.

Love this place. The owners are wonderful to talk to and have a endless supply of knowledge on the area. I really enjoy the historic pictures and items around the store. They have some of the best and most unique gifts available from local artists. It is a stop I consider a must everytime I am in the area.
