So glad they are taking care of these animals. We adopted the sweetest cat in the whole world from them (Maya). Process was easy, and they were helpful on the phone telling me what i needed to do! Very grateful for them introducing us to our new family member. ❤️

I feel like they care more about money than my pet. He was very sick and I ended up taking him to another vet who said he was on the verge of dying. The other vet gave him an injection along with 6 weeks of strong antibiotics

I've been donating in different ways to this shelter, but I'm sorry, I will not support you any further. I came by today to possibly adopt a cat, volunteer, or just sponsor a dog. I had time to waste so I just popped in. I was greeted with a rude, condescending, and belittling woman. There are many ways to greet a person, you were simply hateful and malicious.

This facility is amazing. Clean, organized. Very friendly staff. It's obvious the animals that pass through here are well cared for.

We were dropping off a bag of cat food. I love this place. All of the animals are shown lots of love and are very well cared for and volunteers come twice a day to walk the dogs on leashes. It helps to keep them socialize and feeling loved as well as exercised.

The staff are awesome people. The staff really do care about all of the pets they have that are looking for a forever home. If you have an empty space in your heart please visit the shelter and give one of those baby's a great forever home.

A no-kill shelter. They rescue many animals abandoned or lost. I had a beautiful loving black and white cat on my porch. They took it in. Hopefully it was reunited with its owner.

If you don't have a fenced yard do not waste your time. Staff doesn't want to adopt them out. I went up several times for this litter that was socially distant. Quite a drive from Parachute to Cedaredge in the winter!A couple of them got on my lap today, I pet and loved on them. Took one outside and wanted him. She would not let me have him because I had no fenced in yard. It was a 10 lb. dog. Would be nice you tell people before wasting time & effort to get acquainted.Who are you to judge whether a dog is going to be in the best place or not? You've hurt many people that could give so much love to one of your animals, yet you would rather have them there with you and no forever home. Sad!

This place is not truck driver friendly at all. As someone who has spent the last two years of my life alone in a truck I would have liked a companion. The employees appear to have no knowledge of dogs as they said an 18mo female is too high energy. The First Lady we spoke to on the phone appeared to be nice but dealing with her was ruined by the staff. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again people need truck drivers but when a driver needs someone we’re chopped liver. I hope Bella finds a great home with how sweet she is.

Found Max for my dad as his new best friend. Nice facility with a wonderful path for walking and quiet location. The people at the shelter were kind, helpful and patient as we walked Max around and got to know him. One person (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) even went above and beyond to help us select the right items to purchase on our way home. Max is a fun addition to our family.

Don't waste your time! The Manger seem very judgemental on appearance, I went to look at a puppy and it went great my other dog loved the puppy, I offer a home with kids and 40 acres. I worked for a vet for 5 years and I was told that my home wasn't fit they were going to give him to the people who haven't even met the pup yet that was coming on Saturday. I say she is judgemental to me as i have tattoos. The puppy tried to run out and leave with me, the Manger even said he really wants to go with you, my thoughts on this is too bad it isn't what the dog wants. I left crying and heart broken, I will never deal with them agian.

Great facility, terrible communication skills. Wasted my time and energy and caused me emotional damage. Made an appointment over the phone and was asked if I had small pets or kids and that was IT! I told them exactly what dog I wanted to see. Then proceed to drive over 2 hours and as soon as I walk through the door they tell ask me my age and if I’m renting. Which was on my online application so they already knew I rented. Told me I can’t adopt a pit bull because im under 30 renting a house. So didn’t get to even see the dog I went for. Decided to meet another amazing dog. Said we are interested in him, we’re told we HAD to sleep on the decision. Next morning called, someone was coming from the previous day to introduce their dog to this dog and take him home. They never told me anyone else was looking at him the day I was there or that anyone was coming the next day for him. Glad I drove 4 hours to be treated like an immature inexperienced pet owner and have my time wasted.

I found a pup on the side of the highway and after a couple days of keeping her while attempting to find her owners, I was finally contacted by them. However, devastatingly they did not want her back. She was beautiful and just needed a little more attention, love & training as she was only 7 months old. My husband and I travel often and sadly, couldn't keep her. SCAS allowed me to bring her in, with arms wide open!! Staff was wonderful to work with, kind and attentive. They contacted the previous owner to confirm this decision and within days had Daisy adopted to a wonderful, prescreened and welcoming family that could give her the love she sought & needed. Wonderful place.

Please please please do not support this shelter!! Their adoption/background process is little to none. Instead of caring about the homes these animals are going to, they are just adopting animals out as fast as they can. They view the animals more as property rather than lives.

The person working there when I went was very standoffish. She acted like I was crazy for not wanting to gender a cat that I wasn't even going to keep. I didn't want to get attached but she insisted on showing me it's underside and saying it's gender. Cool, thanks but I tried to tell you I don't care. For the record they/them pronouns can be singular and work instead of saying She/he or stumbling to see it's genitalia in the middle of a busy place. But she refused to acknowledge that and just continued to be rude the whole time I was there. So I'll be taking my pet rescue needs elsewhere if ever needed again. Hope the cats good and all. But I'll never go here again.Edit, guess I'm not the only one who's had trouble with this person. So I don't feel as bad for my honesty.

A clean place. The folks who run it are good to visit with about the pet you are interested in. They have done a lot of land scaping with trails and pave stone walk ways for the dogs to get out into the fresh air and get daily exercise. They have put a whole lot of effort into making this shelter a place for lost and stray animals to be properly cared for while looking for their people or an adopter

It wasn't a bad place just a rude lady that had a snard comment towards me that I didn't like. She told us that we couldn't take the dog home that night at least that what she said and then told us to talk to her boss which was very nice and pleasant and told us that we could take her. So we went back to the Shelter to pick her up and the lady there said and I quote " it must be nice to get whatever you want " I didn't respond because I was kinda shocked and then she continued " it must be a generational thing" just because I talked to her boss about taking a dog home. Be Prepared to get Insulted

Reunited with Ruby!!! 3 months later the rottweiler puppy ruby returned and after speaking to the manager Jess we ironed out a few details and I'm bringing her home tomorrow, thanos for the second chance and best friend.
