Nice , cozy place with decent food.Their calamari are a must try if you like fish , as well as their onion fried rings , which are very light and plenty of flavor.Their stakes are ok.I wish they could chat broiled them since they would have a much better flavor for sure.Service is excellent and there is plenty of parking around.Also they’re expanding the restaurant.If you are in Cedaredge , this is the best restaurant around hands down and they will take good care of you.But please , consider to cook the steaks on a different way.

New remodel looks great! Service was pretty wonderfulHowever..... despite being on their website a few times just prior to our visit AND making reservations, at which time I stated we were celebrating Our 31st anniversary, there was NO mention of the pared down menu, basically burgers and tacos. My husband had fish n. Chips- which was more breading than fish, thou he enjoyed the shrimp cocktail. I had a burger, the patty was much smaller than the bun (where's the beef?)We were disappointed and for the tab of $100 (we did have some martinis at $9 per) just expected more. We understand about staffing issues & why the limited menu offerings, etc but feel they should have either put that on their website, Facebook page or mentioned when I called to make reservations for a pretty important occasion.

Keep in mind it was Valentine's day. I made a reservation but some how it was made for the bar and not the restaurant. Had to wait for a spot as u don't want the bar. That was fine. Got seated, had our order taken. All good so far. Took a little over an hour for our food to arrive. My fish was warm not hit and dry. The baked potato was now mashed potatoes and cold. Her burger was not hot and dry. Service was good. Food was needed life support.

While the server was friendly she wasn't good about taking care of her table. As a bartender she had to have someone else make my husband's drink and then got his second drink wrong. She brought the wrong salad dressing on one of the salads. I had onion rings and they were over cooked and the baked potato my husband got was under cooked. The steaks were cooked well but they were very tough. All in all a very poor meal and I don't see us going back. Sorry, we really looked forward to eating here. This was our second time and the first time wasn't any better.

New owners of an old place that many local people cherish... food was good, hot tasty, and correct. Service was not great. Nice staff, friendly but it was pretty slow getting what we needed. Lot's of people working, just maybe they were assigned tasks inappropriately. Maybe still working out the kinks. New renovations are lovely, clean and modern.

I've eaten here a few times for lunch. This time was the fish and chips, really good. Fish tasted fresh (not dry and discolored like I've had at other places) you could tell the batter is their own creation. French fries cooked perfect and I even enjoyed the slaw, I don't normally. Doing a lot of construction right now to add a cold bar I'm told. Can't wait for that. All smiles on this visit 🙂

Classy place for romantic dinner with my wife! Prices are not bad. Food is great. Hamburger was spicy, yet smokey and flavorful. I did ask for well done, but there was still pink inside - - though I realize my idea of well done (char broiled brown through and through) is not how most people prefer their burgers cooked. Friendly staff. Free parking. No reservations needed, but this town rolls up the sidewalks early, so by 6pm Saturday, the restaurant started filling up.

They take really good care of their people, like when one of their staff lost their home in a fire and the owners really went out of their way to help.But they need more staff so they can cook the food properly (instead of having non-cooks prepare the steaks, etc.) because that is what is hurting them now. Maybe if the community knows how well they treat their people, more applicants would go their way.

We took a drive over the Mesa to see the colors and stopped here for lunch. The drive was good and the food was very good. My husband had a steak sandwich. Chunks of beef, medium to medium rare on a bun that doesn't fall apart. He started with shrimp cocktail which was excellent. The cocktail sauce is very good, with a hint of a flavor I could not recognize but was delicious.. I had the zucchini sticks which were crunchy and very good. I ordered the turkey, bacon, avocado on croissant. The bacon was crisp and the avocado fresh, with a side of broccoli and cheese. The cheese is thin but flavorful, and I like the crumbles on the slightly crunchy broccoli. We will eat here again!

Always a fun time and they have two large screen TVs. All the sports you can ever want. In the bar they have happy hour of chips and salsa and cheese dip. Or a nice dining room to have a nice meal at a table with wait staff. You will enjoy a full bar or a nice bottle or glass of wine. They have a full menu or appetizers in the bar. It is always clean and well lit. They have a large parking that is well lit. The chicken wings are great or the prime rib is wonderful.

My husband and I have eaten here twice in the last 2 months. We live in Grand Junction but we are moving to Cedaredge. We started to check out some local restaurants during house hunting. So far, this place is our favorite. Great food, great service. We ate outside once and inside once. Different meals each time. All of our meals and service have been good. Definitely gets crowded on sat nights, so go early! Will definitely be coming back.

Rich and his staff are wonderful. . Laurel was our waitress tonight and she did so fantastically! The food was great, atmosphere top notch! We love having a place to consistently be able to "come home to" whenever we visit!!

Fantastic atmosphere, good service and delicious food!My family and I were driving through from seeing Land's End. I was googling places to eat and, at the time the hours were incorrect, so luckily my husband saw cars and a sign saying "steak" otherwise we probably would have had fast food!Definitely worth a stop. :)

Looking good and the prime rib is Wonderful. Service fair, seems like it really didn't matter that you were excited about it, I've had better server's at a fast food joint. Dry. Love your food just be take out for me.

It's pretty sad. RJ's used to be a nice restaurant with great ambiance and wonderful food. But it has changed hands and been renovated. Now it's a neutral colored room with hard chairs, plain tables and paper napkins. No one greets you any more... just a sign that reads, "seat yourself in the bar." The food was just okay, and the portions are smaller than they used to be. Guess we need to find a new favorite place.

It is under construction right now for outdoor space . But it is still open for business as usual. And they also serve breakfast now. The food is great and the chairs are comfortable. It is a fun place in the bar if you are looking for quick service. Or they have a sit down dining room. The employees are very knowledgeable about the food.

Nicely updated lobby, dining areas, restooms and more! Good food and reasonable pricing! Very much enjoyed the Impossible Vegetarian burger with a side Caesar salad. Kids loved the Mac & Cheese with bread crumble crust. We'll be back!

Great to see the investment in our local restaurant. Problem here is many restaurants do not last long due to financial problems. Looks like RJ's has the financial strength to survive. Food selection has improved a bit since the renovation and prices have increased a bit. Not a cheap meal but good. Last visit we had excellent service from young man serving our dinner. Sorry I do not remember his name. I hope he stays at RJ's and continues to provide good service. We tipped accordingly.

Hotel in town referred us to this Steakhouse during our snowmobile trip and the food was amazing. We ate there every night we were in town at the Stay Wise Inn. Great food, beverages and wait staff. Two great places and we will be back this winter.

We waited close to an hour and a half for food that was almost warm. Prime rib was over cooked, my wife’s chicken tenders was something you can pick up at the dollar store. A glass of wine was almost a half a glass. RJ’s used to be a great restaurant when Joe ran it.

Went there based mostly on very positive reviews here.Service was great, with no mistakes or mix-ups. She was professional and never overbearing.I ordered the ahi tuna, which I asked for rare (only seared out the outside), on rice and vegetables. The veggies were flavorful and prepared in such a way that they were still lightly crispy - a delight. The rice was perfectly cooked and salted without overdoing it. The tuna unfortunately was a bit overcooked -- there was barely any pink visible in the center and so it felt a bit dry and just didn't have that delicious ahi taste that only the raw/rare stuff will provide. I decided that I did not want to have it replaced as it was still quite good and I didn't want to wait. I did give the waitress courtesy feedback on the tuna and she immediately offered to have it replaced - which is just what she should have done - and she did it, again, in a professional manner.All in all, a very good experience we will come back for future meals.It's too bad there aren't many good dining-out options in the area. We're happy to have found this one.Update: Restaurant is under new ownership now but that hasn’t impacted it negatively. Ate at RJ’s last week and the service was perfect, and I’m very picky about service. As well, my meal was more than worth the price. All in all, we had another very positive experience at RJ’s.

I went there for a family gathering. It was very crowded. I feel like they tried to stuff too many people in too small of a room. The acoustics were awful everything echoed. I couldn't talk to someone 2 chairs down. I was ready to order when I was informed they were out of prime rib so I then decided to get shrimp scampi. When the waitress brought it out I had to ask if she brought out the right thing. To me shrimp scampi is pasta shrimp peppers and a butter sauce. She brought out 6 seasoned shrimp and some french fries and charged me $17.99. With my soda and already applied gratuity it was $25 for bassicly an appetizer. I will not be back

The experience was somewhat of a suprise. I didn't expect this quality of food in Delta county Colorado. The service was good, portions satisfying and the setting great for western Colorado. I recommend you make reservations for every seat was filled and for good reason.
