Wow, what a nice experience to walk into a store and know right away that you are not a number but a new client who is worth taking the time to engage with AND to share all that is available. Most places stay behind the counter and ring you up and say "thanks" in a very dry manner - it's nice to be noticed and have it made known that they are happy to help with any of your needs....like really happy to do so! I just relocated up here in Castle Rock and I like it more and more!

I buy my horse and chicken feed from this store. They have been great so far. I received info about every food I had questions about. Each employee has been kind and helpful on every visit.Edit**I didn't look at the labels of my horse feed until after pouring it into my grain can and seeing it looked weird. They had sold me a bag that had been made 19 months prior to me purchasing. For perspective dry dog food expires 12 months after production, and horse feed has a shelf life of 6 months according to the manufacturer. It wasn't moldy it was just dry and my horse didn't like eating it. My next visit I let them know they should check the dates on their stock of that product and that they had sold me one really old. The response was, "They are all old. I am thinking of not carrying that brand anymore anyway." There was no customer service offered beyond trying to sell me a different brand.

I usually purchase my dog food there. Didn't look at expiration date, who knew. Was feeding my dog expired food that expired 5 months ago! Went to buy fresh food. I told the lady behind the counter that the bag I was purchasing was replacing the expired dog food that I purchased there. All she said was that she was thinking of discontinuing that brand anyway. Wow, customer service! No oops, sorry, can I give you a discount on the new bag. Nothing, nada, nil.

Best place to buy quality pet food and farm supplies. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I can't find better prices on grain free dog food, wet cat food or chicken feed.
