Make sure you check expired dates. I bought a banana cream pie on January 29th, took a bite and it's bad. Checked the expiration date, which can only be found after opening package. It expired back in July of 2023! It's currently January 30th 2024!

Stopped in for something hot and ready, got a breakfast bowl (biscuits and gravy with sausage) its delicious and a good price too. Not sure whats going on about people saying theyre rude. It was my first time in this store and i didnt experience that. If theyre rude just be rude back, idk what to tell u? Grow thicker skin? Food was good

I do not recommend working here or shopping here for the most part. Coming from someone who just quit yesterday after only being there for about a month, don't waste your time trying to work there. Mostly everyone there is rude and will talk some smack behind your back and the coworkers will tell all your business or maybe even lie about it. Shopping is ok but I have heard them talk smack about customers and be rude for no reason. I'm tired to give this place a chance but everything was so messed up I decided I couldn't work there anymore I will never shop there again. This place is toxic. Stay away of possible (.)

This is an excellent store for its size. It is very well stocked with most anything you would want. It has at least a couple of generations of experience and that shows in the careful stocking. The meat and produce are very good. I like the folks that run the store. There is an excellent pharmacy with very knowledgeable people. I particularly like the people that work there as they are very helpful and friendly. We are vwry lucky in this area to have them. I live 12 miles away.

Stopped by to pick up puppy food for our new puppy acquired locally on my way back home on the Western Slope. What a wonderful place- totally stocked with a bit of everything! Loved the employees, the people shopping were so friendly and the Deli made a mean and tasty sandwich! Stop and shop here!!!

I don’t recommend this place to either work OR grocery shop at. The workers are RUDE and will fight with you about it. The managers and GM DONT CARE about customer service OR how they treat their employees at all! (I know several workers personally that work there and have told me about it ) The deli isn’t clean and hasn’t had an inspected in years (deli manager told me so) also not to mention when you are checking out with grocery’s you will have the managers walk by you and say rude comments just because they don’t like you. That’s not professional and not a good place to shop at all!Also drugs are huge with the people who work here so BE CARFUL!

Service has been ok, but their breakfast burritos have a nasty salsa on them, I wasn't sure if it was ketchup or what. Their pizza by the slice is great, but never have any at lunch time. I'd like to shop there more often, but they need to keep the good food available. Change something on the burritos salsa.Week later, still no pizza slices at lunch time.

I love to go here, you can get your prescription, get a pizza cooked to order, and do your shopping. The staff are always awesome and helpful. No drama. A perfect small town general store.

We always stop at the Byers General Store whenever we're on our way through Byers, westbound or eastbound. It's good to have a place to stop after the long and boring drive through eastern Colorado on Rt 36, or after we've escaped the crazy traffic through Denver. We usually get something to eat at the deli and sit outside at a picnic table for a break from the road, or something to take with us. We never drive by without stopping.

Quiet little country store. A little bit of everything but don't expect the level of variety you'd find in a larger store (obviously). Great staff, good hours, and the best pharmacy on the corridor. The pharmacy staff routinely goes above and beyond to meet and often exceed expectations. Prices are a little high overall but when you factor in gas used to drive to another store you come out about the same. I go here for my meat though, love the Hereford beef. Has a full service deli as well offering lots of hot foods as well as the basics like sandwiches and wraps. They offer other services too like propane, UPS drop off, Rug Doctor rentals, and faxing/copying.

The ladies running the Freshway Deli inside the Byers General Store are absolutely fantastic! The food is prepared on-site and is delicious! We were there yesterday - which happened to be the first day of school. They handled the onslaught of hungry high school students as they flooded the deli area en masse with ease! Their supply was knocked low, but again, they were prepared and restocked quickly while filling individual orders. Delicious food. Delightful people!

Very poor service. Last 4 pizza's gotten worse and worse. Tried 6 different times to order hot wings never got any fried was down all the time. I will drive the extra miles to get better food. You lost a customer!!!!! Pick up your game byers your not the only store

The Biggest Little Country Store Ever! Such a great small town gem. It has most of what you'd need on any given day. It's got the same electronic registers as any big box store with a bonus of their own signature products. (Like the Chow Chow, it is amazing!) The people are friendly and helpful and just made my experience pleasant. Oh yeah... the prices on most things beat the big city prices hands down.

I love our small grocery store! !! The deli ........hmmm. . Not so good. Lived here fo 10 years and have watched the quality slowly get worse. We used to get the gladiator pizza every week , not anymore, they HAD rotisserie chicken. ..not anymore. . Used to get sandwiches for lunch, not anymore, the staff in the deli needs to wash there nasty aprons and hands.. rotate old food with fresh!!! Pay attention to customers even if they look familiar! !! Deli service SUCKS..

Fantastic place! I had to stop because of high wind and went and got lunch from the deli, it's really good, friendly staff, i highly recommend stopping here, i know i will next time I'm on I-70

I like this little store!Great staff..can find bargains and good sales..have a very wide variety of products without junking up the store....easy layout.I would use the pharmacy and shop tgere more than 1-2 times a month if I lived in Byers.

I live across the street from the general store, and usually they are stocked with all the basics. In the past few months they have really slipped. Produce is far from fresh, and items normally stocked are mixed up and often expired. It's like management dropped the ball. Today I couldn't find any of the normal items I buy there, and I could not find any bacon that wasn't within 3 days of expiring. The cashier seemed to care but other employees were apathetic and disrespectful. Will Chase owes his community a much less bitter shopping experience that doesn't leave people like me turning to the Internet for an audience. I just want groceries.

It is a pretty nice small town grocery store. The prices r a little high on some things, a little higher than what I pay at King Soopers. So, I do shop at King Soopers for some things, that r more expensive at the Byers General. They do offer a lot, though. The pharmacy is great, and the staff in the pharmacy r very friendly, as well as helpful. All of the employees r very friendly, they r warm, and friendly, with smiling faced. All in all, I shop there most all of the time, when I can't get to King Soopers, and they do have a lot to offer. It's not to bad of a store, and I don't mind shopping there. The aroma from the deli, smells so delicious, every time I walk in there. I would recommend people to shop there, for so.a things. It's there, and beats having to drive to another store(King Soopers), just for certain items not found there, or paying more for an item, because by the time u pay for gas, u r paying more for gas to drive to another store, than just staying in Byers, and shopping at the little small, well it's actually not that small, town grocery store. Small town grocery, with a small town atmosphere. Thanks Byers General Store, for your service, and pleasant, warm, friendly, employees. Every time I shop there, I c new faces, as well, that they have hired on. Although, when they r hiring, and certain people put in apps., they should give these people a chance, and hire them on. I know people that have put apps in, and they, either don't call the people, or they tell them that they r not hiring, when they r, or the position has been filled. If they r an equal opportunity employer, than they shouldn't play favorites, and only hire certain people. Give every1 a chance, and have them on a probationary period, to c how they r going to work out. If they Don"t work out, than, at least u have them a chance. If the person doesn't have that much experience, or they take a little longer to train, so what. Train them a little longer, until they catch on. At least they r trying, and they r not as quick to learn, as other people, but in the long run, those people make the best employees. But, all in all, the employers, and every1 that works there, go out of there way, to get u what u need, if it isn't there. I don't mind shopping there.

We frequent BGS and rarely ever need something that they don't have. Obviously there are some things that it makes more sense to buy at King Soopers monthly or what not due to prices. The staff is always friendly and helpful! Glad we have them out here

The pharmacy is the best part to the grocery store. They are quicker to get your meds filled and to you and they help make sure that the uninsured gets the better priced version of the med. They will call the doctor to help with that. They are also better priced than kingsoopers

Decent local store with a comparable selection of items to larger chains.Only complaint is since the store was sold a couple years ago prices have steadily risen to the point they are no longer competitive with nearest other grocery store,where as when the store was locally owned they always were.

Quality has drop with this store food is either about to expire or already has and or is hard and stale tasting prices are too high youd be better putting your money in gas and going to kings (king soopers)or D gen (dollar general) its lost its spark and integrity sadly but the people are nice thays the only thing going for them I wouldn't even waist me money on the pharmacy
