Really cool historical museum off of I70. The curators of the museum are very friendly. The old town display is very cool and informative. It was fascinating walking through the old town and seeing how people then used to live and work. The vintage cars and farm equipment on display were great to see in person. It's a great place to stop by and see a piece of history.

A Must Stop! Enjoyed every minute of it! I already thought it was great and then I learned that all the buildings were authentic and came with there own story of local use! Authenic items in each building are carefully thought out so you feel like you actually stepped back in time and are visiting the real thing. Very nice staff and fun to talk to for icing on the cake. GREAT JOB BURLINGTON, I highly recommend!

Burlington Colorado Old Town Museum:Excellent trip through History! A hidden treasures of the State Colorado. Great day trip as weather permits. Not a crowded and easy to self guided tour, just follow the map and instructions with the aid of the recorded boxes it’s most enlightening. Beautiful experience for adults , the young and for the history enthusiastic. This could be tour of an hour or longer, is up to us. Every single piece you’ll find here it has a place in history, could find it on the old kitchen, school house, pharmacy, post office or even outside with the carriage carts! Definitely worth the drive and check the schedules for the museum and for the Kit County Carrousel other piece of art history with their handcrafted horses. Road trip in Beautiful Colorado!

Great collection of historic (old west) items from the area. There's a free museum in the shop. If you have more time (45 minutes) pay to walk through the old west town. The shop has a nice collection of interesting things, too.

Totally worth it! It’s a “small” museum in budget only—there are upwards of 20 Old Town buildings that range from a barbershop to a print shop to a jailhouse to a boarding house. It’s highly interactive (you can sit in the jail cells and even pretend to serve milkshakes at the sweets shop). It doesn’t cover a lot of area, so it’s easy to walk for visitors of all ages! Our 6 and 9 year olds loved it just as much as Grandma and Mom. There’s also a cool indoor gallery of old cars, farm machinery, and displays on the history of Native Americans, Pioneers, and even thousands of types of barbed wire. There’s something for EVERYONE. Inside the main building, there’s a Hall of Heroes dedicated to the services as well as a gift shop, ice cream, and more restrooms. If you’re driving through, it’s the perfect spot for a quick break

This place was really neat! We stopped in this area cause it was where we decided to rest before finishing the last leg in our trip. I must say the amount of detail that has went into preserving this little spot in history is amazing. If your looking for something fun and not heavy on the pockets, I highly recommend stopping in and giving this beautiful place a check.

Very cool place and friendly staff. A good place to welcome us to Colorado 😄 Wish we had more time to explore the museum and store. We'll come back when we visit to Colorado Springs again. They are also dog friendly,so that's a plus! 👍

This was great fun. It's been decades since my last visit and it's just gotten better. No it's not a Broadway show (if you take in the can can show and gun fight) but it is terrific. I highly recommend visiting.

This place was a lot of fun! It honestly was a great experience to go to and the admission is well worth it. There was a little bit of a mix up that lead to it not being opened right away, but it was fine! Mistakes happen and they were more than happy to get the place open and get us into the town. Its not something that happens all the time, a one time fluke! The high noon show, only on saturdays, was really amusing and it gets you moving along with it. The actors there are so sweet, my family and I felt welcomed and we spend a few hours there. Its definitely an enjoyable experience I would recommend going there to see for yourself and meet all the fun people.

Such a great place to visit. So much history preserved and displayed. The $8 fee to enter is absolutely worth it. I really wish I had more time to spend here and really take in all of the museum.

So glad we decided to make the trip out here! It was absolutely worth it! Tons of buildings with amazing authentic artifacts, some of the buildings are recreations while others are restored and they did an amazing job with it. Easily spent 3 hours looking at everything this place has to offer!Need to come back during the Summer when they do the gunfights/shows and such! But even without that going on it was still worth the $10 admission! If you're in the area most certainly stop here you won't be disappointed!

Really fun outdoor indoor small town history of Colorado type museums. You wander thru 20ish buildings you would find in a plains town late 18's to early 19's. My kids (8 and 10) lived it. Worth an hour or two if your in the area.

This place is truly a hidden gem. My family and I spent 3 hours exploring and could have easily stayed longer if we'd had the time. Such a fun, interactive way to present history. The parking lot has plenty of space to park if you happen to be hauling a camper.I would 100% recommend this museum to visitors of all ages.

Great country store, museum was too costly. Would have taken our entire group if price was 5 per child and 7 or 8 for adults. But 15 for kids and 20 for adults is too costly.

What a wonderful old barn. I had to photograph a wedding in the barn and it was a wonderful experience! I wish it would had some better lighting for photos but other then that it was perfect for a very country wedding! I was very impressed with how clean it was too!

Interesting collection of buildings from the founding days off the area. Gives overview of what life was like in late 1800's/early 1900's.. Also has collection of vehicles from same era.
