Dr. Pierce and his staff are fantastic humans. As a former ER tech who was traveling far from home, I rushed my cancer ridden dog into the clinic today assuming the worst. Not only were they accommodating of our need to be away from other dogs, but from the moment I walked in you could tell they all truly cared about me and my dog. Dr. Pierce was timely, proficient, patient and incredibly helpful through an extremely sensitive situation. Thank goodness my pup is home and recovering from what seems to be a neurological episode. I can’t thank them enough for setting my mind and heart at ease today and saving us from having to drive all the way back to CSU. Added bonus, the prices were way more affordable than I expected. If you’re considering a new clinic or have an urgent vet care need, I highly recommend checking out collegiate peak veterinary hospital.

My anxious boy is not a fan of anyone, but Dr. Pierce and his team are calm and so great with him! We've had to go twice and both times he and his staff were extremely thorough and helpful. I cant recommend them enough. We are very lucky to have him in town.

This hospital has gone above and beyond for my dog. She has always been a highly anxious dog that before needed to be dragged into the vet (and usually sedated) and it was no fun for anybody involved. Dr. Pierce and his staff has gone above and beyond to help make her comfortable and she actually enjoys going to Collegiate Peaks Vet now… something I never thought would happen. Phenomenal staff that really care.

Dr. Pierce and the whole team at Collegiate Peaks have been absolutely awesome to work with. When my beagle had a neuro episode, I emailed them, and they got me in ASAP, and while it was never fully clear what got the beags sick, Dr. Pierce continued to use all the resources available to him to try and help.Every visit has been great. We are educated on what is going on with our animals and given the information we need to make, informed decisions for both our pet and budget.It is also great to see new modern treatments and preventative care options available, which will hopefully extend our animals' length and quality of life as they are getting older.Overall, we highly recommend Collegiate Peaks. They can get a bit busy, but the quality of care is fully worth being patient for.

We have 3 senior cats - all 17 (and soon to be 18) years old. We have been to many doctors (vets) over the years - just to name a few - Dr. Mones in Boulder was excellent, Dr. Caroline in Summit County did very well, and here we are in Buena Vista - Dr. Pierce is a godsend! His team and family truly go above and beyond. Dr. Pierce's intellect and experience provided us with explanations, options, and ultimately beneficial outcomes for all the various needs for our senior girls throughout the summer since he took over the practice in BV. Dr. Pierce's team and family gave our kids (kitties) that extra special attention cats need. We received excellent care and with 3 senior kitties we certainly did not have a shortage of visits for various reasons which were all well attended to. We and our kids are so appreciative of the special attention and care at Collegiate Peaks Veterinary Hospital. Nothing short of a miracle that Dr. Pierce and his team and family are now here in Buena Vista. Thank you!

My large breed puppy has been with Dr. Pierce since 9 weeks. He has seen her through vaccinations, an eye infection, and a spay with genuine care and absolute competence.He and the rest of the Collegiate Peaks staff have been transparent about pricing, necessary vs. recommended treatment & testing, and has given valuable guidance through the developmental period.I called to make sure some of the dog’s spay recovery behaviors were normal, and the CP team have since continued to check in on her progress. They care about pets and make it known!

Highly recommend this clinic for all pet owners in the Buena Vista area, and beyond. We were visiting and our pup, Louie, became fairly sick in short order. Despite not having any open appointment times on the day we called, Dr. Pierce and his team agreed to diagnose and treat our little man throughout the day. The entire staff couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and welcoming to our sick guy despite being so busy. We hope to see anyone from the hospital on the trails someday soon so they can say hi to Louie once again! Thank you!

From the front desk, to the veterinary assistants, to Dr. Pierce, this is an all-around great team and choice for ‘fur families’.Dr. Pierce gave the best examination of our 12 year old Beagle that he has ever received. He included range of motion analysis, full body palpitation, examined eyes, ears, mouth/teeth, respiration, heartbeat… seems typical but many vets rush or skip these important protocol. The excellent explanations of the exam were detailed and understandable. Additionally, Dr. Pierce caught a serious issue that was misdiagnosed by another veterinary team, giving us options and a plan for care. The price point was reasonable and fair, in our opinion.Highly recommend this clinic and very happy to have it and its team in Buena Vista. Thank you all!

He has treated all of our dogs like his own family and went above and beyond with our dog when she had an emergency and needed unexpected end of life care. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Pierce and his staff! Every time we have been in there, our animals have been treated with the love and care that I wish every animal could have. One of my cats is a completely different kitty after seeing him. She is outgoing, friendly, and loves to be petted. She was never that way before he discovered and treated her odd symptoms. Our valley is blessed to have them here and I couldn't ask for a better team to care for my animals.

Dr. Pierce and the team at Collegiate Peaks Veterinary Hospital provided outstanding care for our lab/rottweiler mix. When we found out our dog had cancer, Dr. Pierce shared suggested options for testing and treatment without pressure to pursue overly invasive or expensive interventions. He spoke with me multiple times and clearly explained the differences between our choices, and his recommendations based on the situation. When it came time to euthanize our dog, Dr. Pierce came to our home for the procedure. The whole process was very respectful, and though it was incredibly difficult, we couldn't have asked for a better experience in putting our dog to rest. Being able to say goodbye in the comfort of our home was very meaningful, and we appreciated that Dr. Pierce treated him with patience and dignity. I would highly recommend Dr. Pierce and his team for their expertise and personalized care for pets.

Dr. Pierce saved my dogs life. We were not clients of this vet before but we are now. He performed lifesaving emergency surgery that lasted over 4 hours at a moments notice. He did a wonderful job and we are forever grateful to him and his team. 🙏🏻

Dr. Pierce and his team went above and beyond when it came to my sick dog. Rather abruptly, my dog got ill very quickly and it was determined that he had a few large masses on his spleen that would be fatal if not removed. Not only did Dr. Pierce give us a quick diagnosis, when my dog started having an alarming symptom, he brought us in after hours and gave us exceptional, additional care. He then was able to get us into another veterinary hospital for surgery the next day and saved us thousands of dollars. My dog is currently alive and thriving, and it's all thanks to Dr. Pierce, his team and his family who all showed me and my husband compassion and care. We could not be more grateful for them!
