We stayed in Buena Vista before heading back to the airport in Denver and I don't regret it one bit! We stopped in for some breakfast and coffee to the Brown Dog Coffee Company. This place is amazing. The pastries and food all looked delicious ( I got the cinnamon roll! ), they have tons of coffee products to buy and take home, shirts, gifts, and other unique items that make the experience unique. So glad we stopped in.

I ordered 3 Cinnamon Rolls as they were huge they were gross, very dry and very hard. It seemed as though they were days old. The nastiest cinnamon rolls I've ever had. I will never order pastries there again. I once got a scone and it was dry and gross, I thought it was just a 1 off thing, but nope. Never again. The coffee is great, pastries are nasty.Parking: Parking is good

The baristas were friendly, and the coffee was yummy! I got a vanilla latte and really enjoyed it. I also tried the tiramisu which was tasty and the flourless chocolate cake (yum!). If I go through here again I'll definitely be stopping by!

Loved this quaint coffee shop! Service was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We tried their lattes, hot chocolate, and a couple pasties. They were all delicious! We will be back for sure!

Been here many times from Denver and that happens since this place has been here for like forever. It's tight inside. They have odd things for sale. The coffee and lattes are both good. The only thing that has changed in the last 2 decades is the coffee sleeve.Parking: Don't park on the railroad tracks.

Brown Dog is our go-to coffee shop when traveling through Buena Vista and/or Salida. There's often a line, but the staff work quickly and it's always worth the stop. The Buena Vista location doesn't have much seating, but we normally grab it to-go anyway. The drip coffee varieties are great black; cream and sugar aren't needed when the coffee is high-quality. Most importantly, the green chili is authentic Colorado/New Mexico green chili 🙌.

First stop at this place was great! Second time, not so great. We arrived at 5:30 and were told we could not order 80% of the food on the menu because they closing in 30min! So we ordered pastries and coffees. Coffee was horrible, tasted like puddle water. Very disappointing for a $70 bill in a coffee shop.
