My son, for months tried out various bikes & the shop never once turned him away or didn’t offer such amazing information. I went in to Black Burro Bikes knowing I wanted a bike but not sure what I was going to get. Matt and Lindsey pointed me in the right direction. Ordered a Trek Marlin 7. They assembled it, helped me pick better tires, and made sure everything was good to go. Excellent bike shop with excellent service. Lindsey and Matt are great!

Wow! Quality and amazing customer service and incredible skills as bike technician. Took my elderly parents trikes in to be assembled and Matt spent hours getting them just right for years of fun riding. Brought in other family members bikes that had a couple of flats and small issues, he took care of the them and always spends the time to explain the repairs he made and what to expect in case of future problems. Whether it’s the front desk or the tech side, this shop is a comfortable place to have your bikes serviced. These people are kind, thoughtful and very knowledgeable!

Five stars is an understatement!This is the best bike shop in Colorado!If you are looking to buy new bike schwag, rent a bike, buy a new bike or just get your bike tuned, this is the place! Prices are very reasonable! The owners are super friendly and beyond knowledgeable!If you are visiting Buena Vista, Black Burro is a must visit!! They also have a variety of beers you can’t get elsewhere in town and various cocktails.To top it off they have outdoor seating where you can sit with your dog, soak in some sun and play some corn hole.

Not only are the owners super knowledgeable about their bikes and avid riders, but it's a great place that a lot of locals spend time and grab a beer. Every time we have brought our bikes in for repairs and tune ups here Lindsay and her team have always been amazing with fast turn around. They are the only place I bring our bikes to. I trust them to do a great job. So grateful for Black Burro Bikes! Was warmly welcomed to join their group ride last fall when I was camping and exploring the area on my own. Great people!!!! I came back the following week for another group ride, and plan to drop in whenever I’m in the area. While being short of a couple of bikes last summer when we had a bunch of friends in town, Matt and Lindsay bent over backwards to make sure everyone in our group was accommodated when ALL the rentals across BV were out! We were staying in Buena Vista before the Leadville 100 mountain bike race and my husband noticed that his brakes felt a little spongy. Dropped the bike off mid day Monday and it was ready by mid morning Wednesday (They are closed on Tuesdays so this was a super quick turnaround and much appreciated). The mechanic also went over the bike and noticed a couple of little things: Tightened the headset and pointed out that the brake calipers are nearing the end of their natural life but would be fine for the race.This shop came in clutch before a big race and that is much appreciated.

They have always been so kind to my family and so very helpful! My boys have rented bikes, helmets and we have bought several bikes and gear from them and it’s been fantastic!
