This might be my new favorite bookstore! What exceptional browsing here—never know what you’ll find. I found a travel guide and field guide for a great price. Love the buyback policy for when I’m finished. 📚 Cute cafe, too! Plenty of parking.

My favorite used bookstore of all time!! It's so cozy and magical inside, with well defined and labeled sections. It's best I think just to go to browse, but if you have a specific book you're looking for, the staff is REALLY knowledgeable and can often times track down what you want. HUGE, GREAT selection of kids books, too (picture, chapter, etc)!!!ALWAYS somewhere I take friends and family when they're in from out of town. A real Boulder gem!

Review from a someone selling books to the store and trying to reduce clutter at home: the staff person was nice enough, but I wish they would reconsider their policy. I had a box of really nice hardback coffee tables books to sell to the store. Their policy is you only get store credit (no cash) for the books you sell to them. If you don't use that credit in a certain time, you loose it. To buy any books, you can only use your credit for 70%, you have to pay for the remaining 30%. So if I sell to them and don't buy anything with in a time period they choose--I loose all the the credit, and if I buy anything, I have to pay for 30%. So, no matter what, I have to spend money to gain anything for selling my books to them. I decided it was a better deal to donate my books to Goodwill and get the tax credit.

Hands down the best used bookstore I’ve ever visited. Great prices you get a good bit of in store credit when you bring your old used books.

I absolutely love this place. Walking through feels like you're touring the halls of some ancient library loaded with gnostic treasures. The staff are exceptional, very kind and gracious, and their passion for literature is beyond evident. Highly recommend!

Great book store but do not come here for the cafe. They have no tables to sit down and study at, they are all covered with books. Then there was no staff to work the cafe and the coffee was horrific.

They celebrate 33 years in Boulder in 2017 and are one of the best used bookstores in the area. Staff is incredibly helpful and the shelves are filled with treasures. We always end up with one or two more books than intended when we stop in.

I love this place. I've only been in there once...this is a true used book store... I haven't seen a real used book store in forever, brought back good childhood memories of exploring good used book stores since most bookstores are newer corporate stores with overpriced brand-new books which I abhor...just give me a good used paperback novel and I'll be happy! As soon as I entered it felt like what someone dying of thirst in the desert feels after discovering a lushly green and beautiful glittering jewel of an oasis within a vast wasteland...it's been so long since I've actually seen a store like this! Also, as a completely deaf man with tattoos, the lady behind the cashier was friendly and wasn't rude to me at all, as many hearing people usually are as soon as they look at me and realize I'm also deaf. Many treat me as if I'm a criminal just on sight. The lady was very nice and welcoming, this place absolutely warrants five stars from me. Good bookstores like this are hard to find and I definitely will be a returning customer, I was very happy to find a used copy of one of my favorite novels, James Clavell's Shogun. They also have a small selection of graphic novels, which I collect as an artist myself.Again, five stars for this excellent store!

What bookstores used to be like- that experience of wandering down aisles, not knowing what gem you'll find. And such a selection of gems! We love this bookstore. Laura who works there always helps us find any books on our list

This shop is great! They have a very impressive selection as I was expecting the store to be as big as it was when I went in. The staff was very friendly and informative. I was disappointed looking for used books at some of the other book stores in the area and this shop made it all better! Came out with a beautiful haul and will def visit again the next time I'm in that area.

I’ve consistently given them 5 star reviews, but I can’t do it this time. I asked them for a children’s book that talks about disabilities. The clerk looked and looked. And then stated she couldn’t find the ONE book they have on this topic. They claim to be inclusive and diverse. They have a huge display of books for LGBTQ children, adolescents and adults. But no children’s books on disabilities. I didn’t see any display of books for those who wish to learn about people with disabilities. 13% of US people have a disability. 7% of US people are LGBTQ. This book store shows ableism in their lack of books for people who are disabled.

Everyone working here was super friendly and helpful. I was able to find multiple books I wanted quickly with their help, and got them at a low price. The books are in great shape too. Highly recommend coming here

Great spot for books. If the Cafe looks closed, it isn't. Just ask for the lowest priced hot coco around and get settled with a good book. I just bought my son some Encyclopedia Brown books for story time!

Jam-packed with a stunning variety of books at reasonable prices. As a sci-fi lover I was particularly impressed by their selection. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If you love books and want somewhere with a high likelihood of carrying a cheap copy of whatever it is you're looking for, I highly recommend visiting!

A medium sized store jam packed with used books. The books were in good condition and sorted in solid framework. It was a bit overwhelming trying to find something on my own so I asked for help. The store attendant was kindly and quickly able to find the exact book I was looking for. The inventory changes all the time as expected of 2nd hand store. Temper your expectations and enjoy the experience. Will be back again for more books.

This is probably the best used book store I've ever been to. The selection is fantastic, well organized, and very reasonably priced. I spent about $60 and walked away with over 20 books, most priced at $2 or $3 a piece. In addition to cheap and affordable books, they have a large selection of first editions, signed copies, and Easton Press printings in great condition. The employees are very friendly and it's a great place to just sit down, grab something from the cafe, and read for a while.

This is the best bookstore in town. The selection is endless and you can trade in your less than favorite reads for store credit, which keeps me coming back over and over again to find the perfect book. They also have puzzles and games if you need other distractions. With libraries being limited, this is an exceptionally good place to go.

My husband & I are always on the hunt for great bookstores. We were in Boulder for the weekend and decided to check out The Bookworm due to the photos and fantastic reviews. This place exceeded our expectations in terms of selection and staff. The selection was so vast, the books were in great condition and so reasonably priced. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

The selection here is Amazing, and prices are fair. It is a very tightly packed store- books everywhere you look. While it may first look like chaos, it's actually a carefully organized store. I was able to find several books in different sections that I'd been hunting for. My personal treasure was an Indian cookbook that's been out of print for several years...

The Bookworm is always lovely but like all used bookstores they close too early. They don't have much comfortable seating but I've managed to spend long periods of time comfortably examining books. Kathy and Ellen, in particular seem to know a great deal about many genre even if they don't read them. It's a very full bookstore; don't expect there to be room to spare. Actually, there is one place- into the restroom. Why not? There's a huge expanse of wall. I don't know what I'd put there but certainly no one could dally.

From the outside, this place looks unassuming. I must have passed it a hundred or more times before I went in. But it's actually quite a big and well stocked store. It's especially great for kids books, since they grow out of them so quickly, it doesn't make sense to buy them brand new. Virtually all the books here are in great shape and are priced really well - usually half of the original price. Also, they will buy back any book you buy there. This store is really a treasure.

The store is a book lover's dream. It is a classic bookstore, with the added perk of an awesome trade in for credit program. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and have always made it a pleasure to enter the store. This is a classic book store in an era of dying private book stores. The reason it has been around for as long as it has, is because it is awesome.

Traded in several gently used books in exchange for a new series I'm reading. The store is filled with so many books but immaculately organized I noticed! Great overall experience and will continue to use them as my local book store/exchange!

I love books & regularly recycle one's I don't need on my shelves for "new" ones from the Bookworm. Book credit is like a reward for being a book lover! I've bought books too, when I run out of credit. There are chairs & places to sit all over the store which makes it perfect to browse a few pages before choosing a new read. Things are organized amazingly well, making it possible to zero in quickly to the shelf/subject you want.
