Lucky’s Market is a quaint local grocery store that’s really convenient to people living or just finding themselves on the north end of Boulder who want to fresh food, sometimes local, and often organic foods abound. Several small shops including a restaurant, LQ, espresso shop and a cleaners make it a convenient stop.

Extremely convenient grocery store for north Boulder. It is a great place to pick up staples like milk and flour, and has saved me from a few baking emergencies. They have a nice grocery selection, but the last time I had to stop by for apples and lemons, all the available apples were significantly bruised and the lemons looked a little bit sad.*review edited for clarity*

My opinion: It should be called "Unlucky's" because the prices are a complete ripoff here. Customers slowly roam the aisles with their eco-bags in tow, with a sour, dour expression on their faces-- any type of sweet or dessert or non-staple food item here (the types of things that put a smile on people's faces) is often priced at about twice what it should really cost the customer... it's the old Whole Foods pricing model, but taken to the extreme. I don't care that it's a small market, a ripoff is a ripoff as I see it. The only reason this place still exists is because King Soopers hasn't put in a store in this area yet (King Soopers sells more quality and local organics than both Whole Foods and Sprouts combined)... the moment they put a in store on this side of town, many will never step foot in Lucky's again-- and I think Lucky's knows this and is milking it for all they can while they can. I've been here since 1999 and all I can think of is that they must have hired some former Whole Foods execs from the era when it was jokingly called "Whole Paycheck" (before Amazon bought them)... but even Whole Foods has learned their lesson and often their prices beat King Soopers on some items these days. It will be too late for Lucky's to then pivot on prices once a big chain comes in and starts to eat their lunch. I told my girlfriend tonight that I will never walk into this store again-- I'll drive to Gunbarrel or downtown Boulder instead, polluting the world because my local grocer wants to have really high prices.

Update that I heard back from Luckys mgmt about this and learned that they do donate most of their unsellable food to Boulder Food RescueI have shopped at Luckys for several years since it’s close to my house and I like that it’s local, but recently I have been shopping more at Nude Foods to avoid the packaging. Today I bought a large amount of groceries and while checking out noticed the papaya I chose had a big scratch and mushy area, I asked the cashier if I could get a discount and they asked another employee nearby who said they don’t give discounts and proceeded to throw the papaya in the trash right in front of us. It was upsetting to know this is the way Lucky’s deals with situations like this and I am really questioning whether I want to come back. Why would you rather push customers away and waste food than give a discount for produce that would otherwise go to waste?? =(

I love this store but the prices are unbelievably outrageous. In the future, I hope they can offer a few products at reasonable rates to drive some more business. I usually find myself waiting in line to check out for about 5 mins. Store staff is amazing. Prices not so much.

Thank to one of the current managers for helping me. I was frozen outside and was gifted money to get indoors and from the bottom of my heart I sincerely appreciate that level of kindness from another 🙏❤️🌼

If you want to overpay for moldy berries and rotten avocados, this is the place! Their prices are ridiculous, the selection not great, and they buy more food than they can sell—so keep your eye on packaged produce and pull dates.

Expensive, not the best selection. A deli sandwich that was not more than 8 inches long was eight dollars and change. No Dr pepper just guru love chicken sauce. Typical boulder. Nice staff tho

Great spot for groceries, bakery and cafe. Stopped in to get a snack and was pleasantly surprised. You can park here and get more than groceries at Lucky's. They have a bakery in a separate building to the west and a cafe / deli to the east, which are all Lucky's. Coffee is also available. Just park and walk to your desire!

Lucky's is a nice local resource for quality foods. The selection is less broad but most things are fresh, organic, whole for nutrition. Prices are a bit higher than at larger chain stores.

Green market in North Boulder. Fresh items and all the goods for your swimming, biking, and running needs. Check out was quick and staff was nice. I gladly paid 10 cents for the paper bag. Great idea to promote reusable bag usage.

This has been our local grocery store for many years and we love how it has grown into a reliable place for quality foods and healthy options without having to brave traffic and crowds at Whole foods. The staff is always helpful and pleasant and the store is easy to navigate and find what you need. It doesnt always have everything but you can usually find the essentials and many organic or healthier items you wouldnt find at a typical Safeway or King Soopers.

Cute little market with unique finds! I am vegan and loved the vegan options I found. They had vegan muffins, a great vegan milk selection, vegan cheeses, TVP and more!

Went in here to grab a few items today. I would suggest going to other places for canned goods, etc. BUT for the produce…. It is some of the freshest looking produce I’ve seen! Absolutely gorgeous selection and the prices a little steep, but I’ll pay more for produce that will last. definitely going to incorporate shopping here for produce a bit more!

I love Lucky's. The meat counter and prepared food counter combined with all the inventory of my favorite health food stores make this one of my favorite places to shop. The staff are super nice and friendly and I've noticed a lot of the same people working their for as long as I've been going there which is at least 4 years now. Thanks Lucky's staff and management for all that you do!

Long time customer, I live in the neighborhood and still shop there. The prices, however are absurd (Rudy's bread $7.99, 2 dollars more than at Safeway, cheeses are easily 50% more for the identical product.) I realize, they are a smaller store and I am willing to pay a little more for convenience, but not this much. I have greatly reduced my shopping at Lucky's and prefer Safeway, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Target.

This is a well-stocked grocery store with a wide selection of organic and natural products. The prices, while not inexpensive, are reasonable for the quality. I found some unique and delicious items not seen in other stores. The store staff come across as expertly knowledgeable and friendly. My only reason for rating it slightly lower than five stars was the cluster in a few aisles and some uncleaned shelves.

A bit marked up in price, but I love the selection and variety of organic foods. Their deals could be a bit better and more often, but they are our neighborhood grocer and we can usually find 90+% of our grocery list at Lucky’s. Also cool that they have a bakehouse & creamery as well as a café in the same parking lot.

A great store for local groceries ! They also feature an " online order / pick up atthe store . ( No home delivery available)I love purchasing from their meat / seafood department. The staff is always very friendly & helpful . I recommend trying one of their desert selections from "Luckys Bakehouse." Which is located in the same parking lot.

Most amazing selection of all dietary realms of grocery. Excellent produce, fantastic cheese selection and phenomenal in-house bakery as well as local baked goods. Super helpful and friendly staff. It's not a giant store, nor a giant parking lot, so be prepared for having a little patience with the lack of space, but the kindness of the staff and the customers in general will help you with that ability... Not to mention the sheer happiness the grocery treasures you'll find here will give you.

This is a nice local store. In particular, I love the meat and deli counters. I recently returned some sliced turkey that wasn't popular at home. The process was easy and painless. The young person at the register took my word that the item wasn't working out. Only four stars because of the prices. On the other hand I just described a premium shopping experience so I shouldn't complain much about the prices. I go there often.Much later. I still visit often. Still four stars for the high prices. I'll add that the folks who work with the fruit and vegetable are super helpful. If the deli offered vegan pizza slices I'd likely stop going to Whole Foods.

Chef’s paradise, run by a group of culinary people. Love the food here! Organic, freshly prepared deli, local foods, inspires me to cook.Better quality food than at most chain supermarkets, and slightly higher prices w/o many conventionally farmed/raised products..Awesome butcher counter. The prepared food at the deli counter is also great. Keeps me eating healthier when I need something quickly. Same goes for the produce- such variety (seasonally) & great looking fruits and veggies. Local foods represented heavily in the fresh foods but thru the whole store. Extensive cheese selection, also baked goods (from their bakery next door!) wonderful stuff and some 1-2 person sized options too, making it easier to buy something for dinner & dessert.Local foods, great pantry and home sections too, along with extensive coffee selections & grinders. Butcher sells some frozen marrow bones, chicken feet, livers, etc also based on availability. Also a Vegan section in the fridge. Some frozen goodies. Even pet food. Small selection of vitamins/supplements/herbs. For more selection go to a larger one like at Natural Grocers or Sprouts.

This is the first place I shopped for groceries since moving to Boulder, CO. It instantly reminded me of a local organic market in my hometown of Ithaca, New York! I am very grateful to have found this local gem filled with smiling faces & AWESOME home-made meals from the deli. Definitely got 🍀 when I stumbled in here... 🌟You get what you pay for- this market proves that through their loyal workers.

2-24-2022Stopped in few days ago. It was cold outside. You figure inside the store it will be warm. However, Lucky’s was FREEZING!!I had my winter coat on, thank goodness. I just wish I would have warn my gloves. A very cold store. I repeat a very cold store. All of the checkout folks were wearing great big hoodies. With the hood up around their head.A manager should have noticed this!Holy cow, a little adjustment on the thermostat would have made it a much better experience.

I've been shopping at Lucky's market for a decade. I don't shop there anymore, to be honest. The produce section is really sad. There's been many times where the produce was rotten (flies/gnats even buzzing around) and nothing was done about it. I decided to try the produce section again recently, and all of the containers of strawberries were molded. I don't find this at the other natural/organic markets that I shop at. So I think there is just not enough attention to detail regarding this. They do have a larger selection of non-dairy ice creams, which I appreciate but unfortunately I’ve bought ice cream there that ended up being freezer burnt. I mentioned it to an employee, he just laughed and said “yeah we have ongoing issues with the freezers.” Besides that issue, I wish their produce was actually good quality and that the produce department was well maintained. They have ads showing beautiful produce but that’s not what it actually looks like in their produce department. If you want nice produce, this isn’t the place to go.

Great place to shop for food. The cashiers-especially Travis, Marty, and Chloe-are always friendly. They not only ring me up quickly, but know where everything is. Jeremy is awesome too.The store is so clean, and such a great feel- not cold and unfriendly like most of the other Boulder stores. Ample bike parking, and a great selection of organic and local foods. You can easily find grab-and-go items to help you power through a long bike ride or hike.I like the water dispenser they have, and trying to eliminate plastic waste. People who work here really care about helping me to get a great meal for my family. The prices aren't too bad either.Reminds me of "old boulder", the natives know what I mean. I saw Laurita, the front end manager, open a lane while busy, and assist her clerks in way that is rare in this day and age.I will be doing a majority of my shopping here, the price of organic, local, bulk spinach cannot be beat.
