Normally, I don't take my time to write a negative review; I just don't go back. Normally, I only write good reviews - check out my other reviews and you’ll see that it is true. However, in this case, run, don't walk, to another pharmacy. BVSD just changed to CVS and they are awful. CVS was supposed to transfer my prescriptions from King Soopers, and three calls later and three weeks later, they still had not requested it. So I called King Soopers and they transferred it the next day. I have been on hold over 1/2 hour for five different times at CVS, trying to sort through this issue. Finally my RX was transferred, so I went to pick it up today, waited in a line for 20 minutes, and they charged me double what I was paying at King Soopers for the same item. When I questioned the cost, the technician handed me the bag and asked, "Do you want the RX or not? This is the cost. Call your insurance to straighten it out." I get that it’s not really the employee’s fault. CVS the pharmacy doesn’t hire enough people to adequately process all of the prescriptions. So, there are the employees overworked underpaid, and the customer suffers. Meanwhile, the CVS management is raking it in.So, King Soopers does have my RX listed as a 28 day supply, and, during the transfer, CVS changed the prescription from a 28 day supply to a 35 day supply, at their discretion, because anything after a 30 day supply gets charged double for the same product. I am still getting the same quantity, 8 patches, and by CVS putting it at 35 days their system charges the consumer double. It is the same product, the same quantity. Nothing is changed but the cost. Do they do this across the US? Double your sale for same product? Do they do this when they can against millions of customers across the US? Also, when you call CVS customer service, they are not connected to CVS the pharmacy: "We are two different companies" is what I kept hearing. The consumer gets the short end while the company continues to make their profit. I will be transferring all of my items back to King Soopers. Good ol' King Soopers Sunrise Center. Always so trusty and efficient. I will be urging our BVSD union to drop CVS.

Worst pharmacy I've ever used. My insurance unfortunately makes us use CVS and I have never had such terrible experiences. I switched to this location because the other was horrible but this one is just as bad. There is a line down the aisle every time I go, no matter what time of day. They are rude and act overwhelmed and like they have no time for you and then might not even have your prescription but don't seem to care. We tried to get CVS to mail us our prescriptions so we wouldn't have to go in and that was also a nightmare. Overall I do not recommend any CVS.

This is the first time I’ve reviewed anything in a very long time. CVS in Boulder has the worst customer service (rude, dismissive), ability to fill medications on time and follow up than any place I’ve seen. CVS, please pay the people you hire well. Make the position competitive, use folks with pharmacy experience. I want you to succeed and for the community to have a reliable and friendly local pharmacy. You are a corporation, but model yourself after the pharmacies in small towns. You’ll be so happy you did.

They opened an hour late because the pharmacist scheduled to work that day just didn’t show up. People need their medications… you can’t just leave people hanging like that.

I recently moved out of state and transferred several meds to CVS. A week went by and I heard nothing. By some miracle I was able to talk to someone at CVS and there was no record of my transfer. Several days later my meds were ready, except for one. Staff was unsure when the med would be in stock so I transferred to another pharmacy. I got a text several days later saying my med was ready at CVS. When I went to pick it up there was a hold and the new pharmacy had no record of the transfer. This ordeal took three weeks to get this prescription meaning I missed over a week of meds. This is unacceptable. Luckily it’s not a lifesaving med, but this is concerning knowing this could happen to someone who needs their meds to stay alive. Online pharmacies are the way to go.

This is maybe the worst pharmacy I have ever been at. The pharmacists were rude and I was hung up on twice while on the phone with them. I've waited in lines for 15-20 minutes for medicine they haven't even filled yet. The man who answered the phone the last time had no clue what he was talking about and just condescendingly told me to call another number which leads to an answering service that doesn't respond.

If would give zero stars if I could. I think it probably stinks to work as a pharmacist but the people who work the pharmacy counter quite obviously are miserable and hate their jobs! I am not sure when I was last treated as rudely as the pharmacy counter employees treat me and everyone around me. I would rather fill my RXs here in the Target but I will have to look for alternatives because the treatment I receive here is just not ok.

I wish I could leave one star...tried to call in and make a vaccination appointment. Got connected with a pharmacist at this location and I guess I got connected to the wrong line. She did not want to help me and made me feel like an idiot for calling into the wrong line. Would not tell me what location it was or how to access it online since that wasn't working for me when I tried it to the Boulder location.I don't know if this pharmacist is going through something, but I felt so discouraged about getting a vaccine and it seems like there's too many hoops to jump through. She was very unhelpful and unfriendly. I do NOT recommend this pharmacy to my worst enemy. If you are looking for a pharmacy in the area, try the Walmart on Summit Blvd in Broomfield. The pharmacists actually care about you and your well-being. Honestly, very upset the way that women talked to me, she was supposed to be someone to trust, but just put me down instead.

The fact that I have to rely on the business to survive makes me so angry. Even when a prescription says it is ready - it might be, might not be. Guaranteed everyone that works here hates every second of their job. It truly shows. CVS must be a nightmare to work for because these people are working inside of an active dumpster fire. I hate that I have no other option. This place makes my life worse every time I have to deal with them. Every interaction takes minimum an hour. Good luck, Godspeed, if you are able to use a different pharmacy- RUN DONT WALK. 1 hour 53 minutes it took to get a prescription that the app said was ready. What else would I want to do with my time the day before thanksgiving??

My insurance made me switch to this pharmacy from the Lafayette King Soopers and this has been a miserable experience. They keep saying it's too soon to refill my inhaler (it's not, I need to refill it every month and I got my last refill around early August, it is now November) and I sent in the prescription for my ADHD meds a little over two weeks ago and they STILL don't have it filled, the automated thing says it's being ordered. I've never encountered such a long ordering period before and I can't even get any updates. It's also impossible to talk to a person, I've called multiple times and get stuck on hold until they close for lunch or they close for the day. And I'm not calling right before close either, I'm sitting on hold for around an hour or more each time and it just hangs up when they close, it doesn't give me the option to leave a message. The app is useless for requesting updates but they keep pushing that instead. I tried the app and the website, and when I try to get information about why they aren't refilling my prescriptions, it just says to call the pharmacy. Which doesn't work. And then the hold line which I'm stuck on for ages tells me to use the app. It's some awful ouroboros of frustration and corporate stupidity. If my insurance didn't literally force me to use this pharmacy I wouldn't, so if you have a choice, I'd go somewhere else.Edit: out of desperation, I called the actual target to ask if they can try putting me through and apparently the CVS staff ignore all the people who work at target and refuse to answer them either and are known for never picking up their phone and just ignoring it.

Helpful & friendly staff. They have an important job to do and want to get it right. They took great care of me at the last minute when Walgreens was out of the prescription. I have had several positive experiences at CVS pharmacy in Target on Pearl St. Yes, there can be a line depending upon the time of day, but all pharmacies in town have lines, in my experience. The line moves quickly. Thanks so much for making my day!

My insurance is making me shift to this pharmacy from the King Soopers on Table Mesa, and boy am I bummed. The people who work at CVS have no ownership over the process. They seem like robots who are just repeating lines they have been taught, so when the inevitable problems arise, they can't help solve them. The communication between the app and the pharmacy is dismal. I refilled a prescription via the app and was told it was "in progress" for three days. Finally I went in person and they said they could fill it in 15 minutes, with no explanation for the previous delay. I tried to switch to mail order to make it more convenient, but received a 10 day supply when the system thought I received a 90 day supply. Just got off a 45 minute call with the customer service agent to get that sorted out. CVS, get your stuff together! This is pathetic!

If 0 was an option that would be more appropriate. The most incompetent and not helpful or caring staff you have ever met. Unless you want to spend hours and days waiting to be told they don't have your script that has been sent over many times, I recommend avoiding this place like the plague.

I would give 5 stars for the customer service from the staff. Significant contrast to my experience with the Longmont CVS. I had an issue with prescription being sent to wrong pharmacy and Boulder CVS handled it quickly and had my prescription within the hour. The less than 5 star review is more due to CVS pharmacies in general - they encourage you to use the app but when I did and my prescription was at the wrong location, I could not get the problem resolved. I made 4 calls to help desks and they each gave me 4 different directions for what to do. And, calling any pharmacy was a lesson in futility. No one picks up the phone.

Everything about CVS is just awful. They’re critically understaffed and freely admit to deliberately not answering the phone. So to fill a prescription, I have to go in, wait in line, ask for the refill, then wait or come back once it’s filled. The app doesn’t work, it is extremely buggy and most of the time requires a lengthy phone call. Routinely it says “ready by 2:30pm, and when I show up hours later they still haven’t filled it. Do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy.

Rarely is this a smooth process. Either backed up with long lines or low on stock. Most employees are nice, so I feel bad leaving a bad review, but the pharmacy overall is a headache to deal with. When you call you have to sit through 5 minutes of covid information. Most times I feel bad for the employees, they’re trying, but it seems like it’s out of their control. Finding a new pharmacy. The CVS in Target in Glendale is amazing, so maybe it’s an unfair comparison, but I always dread getting prescriptions filled here.

Wish I’d read the reviews before trying to fill my prescription here. I needed to transfer my prescription after moving to town so I stopped by and filled out a form. They said it should take 2 days— a week passed with no word, so I called to check and they had lost the form I filled out. Not a good look, especially when you’re dealing with peoples medications and health.

You check in, then wait over an hour back in line, just to get up front to pick up and it isn’t ready. They had texted me it was ready, I don’t wanna spend two hours, in line, just to not get my prescription. Only one rude lady up front, who could careless

Target CVS is the worst pharmacy. One star is generous. Impossible to connect by phone to check on prescription pick up or even if it’s in stock. Customers have to wait in long lines to find out that their prescription is not ready or not available. Tonight there were 40 people in line behind me when CVS closed and pulled down cage.CVS knows their staffing levels and prescription filling capacity. If they cannot support demand, don’t accept the prescription so customers know to go somewhere else. Nobody would wait an hour or longer in line for any other service to be disappointed. My family will never go back.

I do not recommend this pharmacy. I needed an urgent prescription refilled and had to call them directly because the operator couldn’t perform what I needed. The first time I called they picked up immediately and I began to speak and the man immediately cut me off like he was angry. I lost cell connection and tried to call back but no one answered after 45 minutes. Over the next three days I tried calling multiple times with no luck. I ended up going on just to ask for my refill and waited in line for 30 minutes just to be told they can have it ready in 45 minutes. This pharmacy will waste your time and is unreliable.

It's just bad. Online or through the app you can't request a refill more than 7 days early, but it often takes them more than 7 days to fill a prescription, so if you just go by their schedule you'll be out of your prescription for a few days. They DO NOT answer the phone at this location. Do not even try to call; I suspect they've just turned off the ring tone at this point. Because they do not take phone calls, lines are incredibly long. I wish I had another option in town.

For the SECOND time, after making an appointment and having the confirmation in hand, CVS did not have any record of it in their system. The separation between the pharmacy and vaccination appointments is NOT doing the business any favors.

The most chaotic, unreliable pharmacy that I've ever been to. I've used CVS for years, but now that I moved to Boulder, I'm going to switch to King Soopers. There has been a problem of some kind or another every. time. I've tried to get scripts filled here. Today, couldn't get my cough syrup for pneumonia filled on time and now I have to get through the night without it. AVOID this place and save yourself many headaches.

Horrible pharmacy. They never answer their phone lines, so I always go in person to check the status of my prescriptions. However, when I go in person I am always met with someone who’s rude and short with me. They have never once been helpful and have been the reason i’m almost always late on my med refills. I always try to be kind to them because I understand that they are understaffed, but no matter how nice I try to be they are ALWAYS rude. Avoid this place at all costs!

Recently switched from Walgreens to this CVS... I've had 3 in-person experiences and 1 over-the-phone experience. Every time I've been helped by Aaron (I think he's the main pharmacist) and he has come through each time. No snags, no frustration. He is super helpful and understanding. I'll continue to go here for any prescriptions I have.

Terrible and unreliable. They as slow to fill prescriptions, and that’s not even the worst part; They make their own hours, and you have to get lucky to get your medicine. I have important medication I needed and arrived at 6:15pm (mind you they’re open till 8:00pm). They had already decided to close almost 2 hours early. Now I will have to wait to get my medicine. I would highly advise finding another pharmacy at all cost. It is not worth the annoyance of dealing with this.

The staff doesn't appear to be using their system correctly. No matter when the automated system says the rx is ready, you walk in and are told it will be "30 minutes" but then it's much longer. I confronted the pharmacist about it, as I am post-op and picking up pain medication on crutches, and he puffed his chest up, leaned toward me intimidatingly, and declared they're short staffed. I moved all of my prescriptions out of there that night, even though it meant not having meds another day. I know the situation is hard on everyone. Truly though, the patients who are in pain or struggling to just arrive to the pharmacy at all are not being supportes, and even threatened if you show any frustration. Stay away from this awful location.

Went today to pick up a prescription my doc called in yesterday. Waited in a line of 5 people for 10-15 minutes at the pick up window then was told it wasn’t ready and to check the status at the drop off window. Waited in line again for 5Minutes and He told me they still needed to box it up and get the second one ready and to come back in 30 minutes. So I wandered the store with my increasingly cranky toddler for another 30 minutes on top of the 20 minutes I had already waited in line. I returned and drop off window guy said it was now ready but that I would need to wait in line at the pick up window again to pick it up. Altogether I think it took an hour to pick up two simple prescriptions that should have already been ready. Just moved here so this was my first pharmacy interaction here and definitely never using them again.

Each time I try to call to talk to the pharmacist, I’m on hold for 45-60+ minutes and then the system hangs up. I think I’ve only been able to speak to someone 1 out of 6 calls to them. The time I did speak to them they were helpful but the amount of time I’ve waisted is crazy. And the issue is not one that can be resolved in the portal. I really wish cvs would staff up and upgrade their phone system. I know they’re slammed in the store.

Probably the worst pharmacy you’ll go to. Expect to get told to wait 20 minutes for them to fill your prescription that’s already supposed to be ready. And then once that 20 minutes is up they will proceed to ask you to wait for 20 minutes again.
