If you like - I mean really like - bookstores, you will spend hours in this place wondering the three floors of books. They have books all of the place and an almost infinite variety from which to choose.A definite must stop for any and all book lovers.

Right on Pearl street market in Boulder, this place is huge! Three floors of books ranging from the latest to more esoteric stuff: puzzles, lgbtq, travel, etc, etc.So much fun to walk around and just get swallowed up by the whole place.When walking on the second floor you may even feel the floor slanted a bit.

What an amazing Bookstore! 3 levels and loads of charm and book genres! They have a great selection of whatever you can think of between art and architecture to non-fiction and fiction to an entire kids section to movies and film and banned books. I could've spent days in there! I would love to go back and cozy up in a corner with some coffee from one of the numerous coffee shops in Boulder and spend the day diving into a good read!

I absolutely love this store. It’s everything I love about a bookstore, great people working there, character, levels of books, and I love they have events! I can’t help but stop in at least once a week and hardly do I leave without a few second hand books/sale books and a new release.

I've only been once, but they have a great selection of nature-related books (a subject many bookstores neglect) and really just books in general. The employees I met were kind and helpful.

It was a surprise to find this fine bookstore. I know the city is erudite, yet the quantity, the selection, and the recommendations are much appreciated. There are many sections to browse through, all clearly marked. A true paradise for readers.

This might be the most well-groomed, well-curated bookstores I've ever been to. The variety of special editions, the selections from somewhat obscure to best-selling authors, the arrangement... It was such a delight to wander the store, and I can't wait to go back.

Boulder bookstore is a must stop on Pearl Street. This book store gives so much to the community. As an elementary school teacher, I have gotten dozens of books for my classroom here. They are wonderful and so helpful. They also support schools by offering amazing author talks in our schools. I am so thankful for this amazing space!

Pretty solid bookstore in the heart of Boulder. My family and I stop by every time we are in the area. The store front makes it look like it is small, but in reality is huge with three floors and a huge selection of books. Totally recommend stopping by and check it out, be ready to spend more time than you would think!

I want to get “lost” here every time I visit! They have so many great features including a very large “nearly new” book section. I must come alone next time so that I can savor each section. A classic that I hope will never disappear!

It's an amazing bookstore and highly recommend however I couldn't stay and linger because when I asked to use the restroom, they told me it was 2 blocks down the street. I'm confident that if I didn't have a full bladder, I would have stayed way longer and spent much more money.

So many gift options can be found here, not only books to buy. I picked up these perfect stocking stuffers for a few family members. Always fun to spend time in a bookstore and this one was no disappointment.When in Boulder you should swing by to support a local shop.

Just visited again and raised my rating to 5 stars even in the pandemic. I’m in love with how knowledgeable the staff is and willing to chat about the books. Books are arranged in logical order. Even the poetry! I love this place. Best bookstore this side of the USA! Recommendations are thoughtful. Selection is up to date. There are clever little kitschy items. The children’s section is extensive. Wish I lived here!

This book store is amazing! Definitely one of the coolest I've been to. I stumbled on it while walking down Pearl St. It's a 3 story book store with the most incredible selection of books. When you first walk in they have a few shelves with books recommended by others to read. These sheves alone make the store worth visiting. It's always nice to see what others read, recommend, and why they recommend it. They also have the most diverse selection of books I haven't heard of before.

OH MY GOSH WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!! I always want to support independent bookseller but this place takes it to the next level. Several levels, in fact! There's the large main floor, two sections of downstairs (and one side branches off to east and west sections), plus a ballroom upstairs, and a whole psychology/new age/religion section down a half flight from the top. It's a weird, sprawling, nook-and-cranny type place that is a joy to explore. Even though I'm trying very hard not to buy new books, I walked out with a very discounted book and a bumper sticker. The staff are very efficient and kind.

Amazing, huge and awesome book store! It has everything! The staff was super friendly! I loved the kids section and cards designed by local artists, as well as the various floors and nooks dedicated to different books! I could spend several days and still not see all of their book selection!

I’m from the Pacific Northwest and grew up with Powell’s Bookstore. This place has the same type of vibe. It was a pleasant discovery in Boulder. They have a wide variety of books for different types of interests. While I didn’t find the books I wanted when I went in, they had books I didn’t know I wanted.A great place to “get lost” in.

Roamed for awhile and found a few books and a nicknac for Xmas presents. Xmas wrapping was downstairs and we went down to wrap the books. Met the friendly founder/owner of the bookstore and he helped us wrap the books. Such an oldstyle atmosphere. Loved it!

This really is a lovely bookstore. If you are in the area, I highly recommend it. There is an upstairs, so allow time. It's bigger than it first looks.

My little bookstore that I grew up walking to as a kid closed some years ago (if anyone from Wayzata, MN reads this… You know the one I’m talking about on Lake Street by Caribou.) The Boulder Book Store is a mega bookstore compared to the one I grew up going to but, despite being three floors and chock full of inventory, it has the look and feel of a lovely cozy book store. I could easily have spent a couple hours moseying through the aisles inspired by their expansive selection of books. Add this shop to your itinerary if you find yourself in Boulder.

Wow... what an overwhelming amount of books. Three floors filled with multiple rooms, shelves, and tables of books. Truly a remarkably large space that you don't expect from the outside looking in. The classic book store had classical music softly humming in the background and is located in the middle of the chic tourist hub, Pearl St. The books are pricy, but the store offers a large sale section per floor. I found two books from the sale section that I liked along with a book light. I am very disapointed with the book light. It glitches a lotttt. Overall, the place is a relaxing environment that I will probably go back to.
