Ace Hardware had everything that was needed in stock! Often it's a lot easier to run to Ace (only 3-1/2 blocks). You might pay a little more, but it's a lot less gas & wear and tear on our vehicle! Everyone there is so nice & helpful!

We took two screens in for rescreening. We were told it would take 3-4 weeks, which was fine. After not hearing anything, I called to check on the status of the screens. That was at four weeks. I was told, they were sorry, but they were not ready, but would be ready, soon. Two weeks later I called again and was told, they were done. Why was there no call to let me know they were done?Upon getting the screens home and ready to install, I noticed that the spline had not been replaced. They reused the old, cracked, weathered spline while charging full price for screen replacement. Not to mention, the screen material was not tight all the way around.When I called to ask why the spline wasn't replaced, Scott told me that it was their opinion that the spline could be reused. I pointed out that there were sections of the screen that had no spline. Scott passed it off as no big deal, and they were doing me a favor reusing the old dilapidated spline.We will not be using this Ace again.

Usually have what I go directly for but do wish pricing was straightforward and the outdoor plants have no signs or pricing that I could see. I am a consumer that usually won't ask for pricing, I figure if the store wants to sell something they will put a price on the item or have the correct pricing directly above, below or beside it.Clean store with a wide variety of goods.

Worst customer service ever!I never can get any help here everyone always acts like they are too busy.So when I asked for help the old tattooed lady with the grey hair (TIFFANY) really had a real arrogant attitude like she didn’t want to help me with my questions at all she is so rude and acts like you are beneath her kinda attitude.I would recommend not going here unless you want to be treated like the scum of the earth that is what I felt. When I went in there today.I’m sure I’m not the only one she’s treated like that because the other gentleman that works there when I said something about her attitude said they've had other people say the same about her.I’m sure management or the owner won’t respond and let her continue to treat customers that way because that’s why she does it ….Go to Loveland or Longmont you’ll be better off and it will be cheaper too….

I'm always disappointed with this location. They lack in professionalism and never have what I'm looking for. It's tough to pay the premium prices they charge as well if by a slim chance they have what you are looking for.

Very much like a hardware store from years ago but with all of the modern items you could want. We took our dog in with us and she had a great time sniffing all she could reach. The staff were really nice and very helpful and friendly as well.

If you know Berthoud you know the local ace hardware. It still amazes me how as you walk in (if your not a regular) (if you are you know where it's at already and they know you know)(lol) someone will ask you if they can help you find anything. And every time they know exactly where it's at what it is your looking for. Not up selling, just friendly helpful neighbors. True small town folks hoping out. Love it all. Say hi to frank as well a true class act.

Sometimes they have what we need, sometimes they don't. Pretty limited choices, but good for casual house repair products or a random tool you need and don't want to drive 30 mins out of town for. We ordered a grill that my partner (engineer) was so excited to put together he had specifically checked on the order form to get it in box, and they put it together anyway without contacting us. Didn't offer to order a new non-put-together one. We showed up with a vehicle that couldn't transport it, and had to have them deliver it later.Staff are consistently nice to my dog when we bring her, which is really my favorite part of going to Ace.

If you have a desire for attitude, poor customer service, getting talked down too, than look no further this is your happy place. Sure all I wanted was a set screw and asked the question would the 5/64th hex head tell me the size? And with attitude you still don’t know if it is course or fine thread! I would have bought one of each, for less a than a dollar a piece. But Amazon wins again, they win on the Milwaukee drill Impact combo that was on sale, the 4 toilet seat spacers and the Metric die/tap kit. One customer gone for good!

My contractor went here today to pick up supplies. He was followed around the store and asked several times what he was looking for. He was then told if he wasn’t buying anything he needed to leave. He had items he was purchasing and still treated poorly. Makes me wonder if he wasn’t Hispanic would he have been treated this way.

To have a local Ace Hardware store in Berthoud warms my heart. I recently relocated here from the Washington DC area. I haven't seen a local hardware store in YEARS! I am slowly attempting to regain my faith in humanity and the customer service at this store is beyond wonderful. I highly recommend community support and patronage for this store. A true gem of Berthoud! 😊

I saw other good reviews. Can't believe we're talking about the same store. I walked in needing some trim lumber for some carpeting and wood flooring projects. Four women (that's right, 4) standing around amusing one another. Not one greeting. Finally, I interrupted their tet-a-tet and asked nicely if they carried any transition trim and moulding. One, who was instantly annoyed, said "I don't know, try the back of the store." The other three just ignored me. So off I went toward the back of the store. I stopped to look at some wood stain, and a very genteel older man asked if he could help me. He took me directly to the wood bins, but they selection was very limited. They didn't have any of what I needed. I got out of there fast... and won't go back, ever. (They were all still standing up front gabbing. The lot should be fired, except for the true gentleman!

Very friendly staff at an old school (in a good way) hardware store. Prices a bit higher than the big box stores, but sure can't beat the convenience (proximity in small town) and service.

We moved to Berthoud about half a year ago, and on average have been to this Ace at least once a week for the last six months. We wanted to support a local business and they were just a couple blocks from our house, so it was very convenient. But today was the last straw. Both my wife and I have always been treated with a level of suspicion when we go in, but today, my wife went in and was treated incredibly rudely by the staff. This is not the first time she's had this experience, but it will definitely be the last. We'll be driving out of town to go to Home Depot from now on, which is a shame.

This is the most helpful store I've ever been to. I'm always greeted at the door and they'll help me find what I'm looking for. They'll even spend a lot of time helping me to find a little 7 cent screw. They give helpful advice and let me know when items usually go on sale so I can stock up. I also like their cat.
