These guys are either criminally incompetent, or just criminals. Nothing they’ve told me in three months of dealing with them has been the truth. Still waiting to get paid for a car they took off my hands in November. I’ve been told half a dozen times the check is in the mail. I’ve been told Lon will call me back several times after calling numerously to ask why I haven’t seen my money as promised yet, he never has. At this point I’m ready to report them for motor vehicle theft. Avoid this place like The Plague.

I cannot say enough about the service that I received at lon's Automotive today. Sean absolutely made sure that my car was in working order before he let me drive off the lot. The customer service was excellent the mechanic did an excellent job. They got me in and out of there in a timely manner. That also were able to repair things that I had not made an appointment for. Thank you so much for the service that I received I very much appreciate it. This business was highly recommended to me by way of a friend. I would definitely beyond a shadow of a doubt recommend them to anybody else that needs car repair

The worst and rudest customer service ever. Day one I called, no answer. Day two, I called at 10am and asked them for a quote. They said they would ask the boss and call back. They didn't. I called back at 4pm, and the man answered drunk or had just woken up because his speech was way off and was no help. He had not asked the boss yet. Called back few days later to check and still nothing. He said call him back monday(7 days since I tried last). So I called back today and he answered and said "hold on" and then hung up on me. I was kind to him each time over the phone because I super badly needed this done and I don't feel I deserve this treatment. Each time he acted rude and was no help. I cant go to my vacation on time now because of them. I just needed a quote or a simple yes/no. Don't waste your time woth them like I did.

Very friendly staff. Helped us right away. We drove from Farmington there to get a rim for my soon to be Mom in laws vehicle. We called around here and they wanted $75+ up for one rim! Called there and they only wanted $30!! So we took a little drive and enjoyed the morning getting out of town and got a rim! I would highly recommend going here. Infact I have their # saved in my contact list now and will call them before calling any other salvage yards here locally. Thank you! 👍👍

Came here from Farmington NM PAID for 3 things and they didn’t even get it pulled a full WEEK after I paid for it and came back for them. If you want my money have my stuff ready by the time I tell you I need them!

I've been dealing with these guys for 25 years, LOL. Heavens to. Betsy SOME of you folks have apparently never dealt with a salvage yard b4. You're gonna wait. They might or might not have what you need. Your ATTITUDE determines your price. You want nice & tidy & neat go and pay 10X for the same part at the dealership. Learn to work with these guys, and they ARE good guys, and you can get what you need and save some bucks. The rest of you just need to stay the hell away.

I've been goin to Lon's for maybe five years now because they are way more affordable than other places. Yes it is a junk yard so its not the prettiest place but when it comes to getting my vehicle fixed at an affordable price they have always been there. The first time I went there I needed tie rods changed on my truck and they quoted me at sixty bucks with me buying the parts. It ended up taking them around three hrs because the thread on one of the tie rods was not right. They also had trouble getting the tie rods off because they were on there super tight since they had never been changed. They did end up getting another tie rod from another vehicle in the junk yard and I returned the one I had purchased for a refund. I did sit around while they worked on my vehicle and the whole time I was wondering how much it would actually end up costing since it to way longer than expected. I was surprised when they stuck with price they quoted! All that for sixty bucks and I got a refund on one of my tie rods! And this is why I continue to go back. Just thought I would share because I don't think a lot of people know they work on cars as well for such a decent price.

I'd leave no stars if it was an option. These people don't know how to talk to customers over the phone and have no sense of understanding or customer service. Every time I called about the car I needed towed to their salvage yard, someone different answered the phone and had no idea what was going on or who I was so they would tell me they'd have someone call me back. Of course, they never reached back out to me. Our conversations went back and forth for over a week and they never fulfilled what they said they would and never officially told me they weren't interested in salvaging my car, they just stopped returning my calls. I was getting calls from code enforcement about my car needing to be towed and these people just kept leaving me hanging every chance they got. I don't recommend if you're trying to use them for their salvage yard/ towing services.

Like a wow man! I heard it might be under different management. To communicate best you would have to show up drunk or stoned. I mean Dude!!!! Could be organized better.

We were sold a bad used tire, their tire machine was supposedly broken that day, NO ONE in town would put it on and we were informed of the condition of the tire. We're going back, and if they don't make it right, I'll let you know.

Very helpful and friendly employees.***edit*** In the past year the place has gone downhill. Lon has had health issues so his son is running the place. Couple times we have been there and Sean was drunk and rude. A freind went to get some work done and Sean said he needed to be paid upfront for some body work so that he could get necessary supplies. He ran the credit card and never did the work. He still hasn't repaid what he stole, always has a bs reason. Had to go get the vehicle and take it to Cortez to get the work done. DO NOT TRUST THEM

I had great service through these guys I'm a single mother so they helped me with a vehicle let me do payments. I had a blow out with a tire and they came and towed me for free. I had my grand caravan breakdown by iron horse inn they came and towed it for me. They put the radiator in with no labor costs I just had to buy the part.

The place is horrible. You need to get a hold of them? Be prepared to sit and redial the number for thirty minutes. If you need to get rid of a car forget about these guys you'd be better off out of this area, cause it'll take more than three days to get an answer out of them, terrible service. Don't go here.

I call them for a part was told they will call me back no they didn't so I call them back and still they couldn't get the part off and now they won't answer their phone how are the y gonna make money if they can't get it off or maybe they're getting lazy

My experience here was great! I called them, got a quote, and they stuck to the quote. They reminded me of an old time shop. While they worked on my car I sat and read. Very family business-like. I would ask for their help again!

Family friendly funTo walk or drive around . AAA mechanics. On site . lots of parts if they do not have the parts your looking for they will go out of their way to find what you need . the only thing missing is the entry fee like i said bring the family .make sure u were your boots !

The absolute worst bunch of lying cheating people I have ever dealt with. Told me they had the part and took my credit card information and would ship it tomorrow. Nope, tomorrow nope we have it here on the counter and it will go out tomorrow. Nope, three days and more lies. Now they say it's smashed in the car??? Every time you call it's just more new lies. Please, spare yourself the frustration, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. I'm not exaggerating, these jerks have absolutely no morals or ethics.

Called for a housing for a breaklight. Now keep in mind I can get two new ones for $42 online $50 new at any auto part store. My quote from a salvage yard.... $100. Don't waste your money!

When it came time to checkout, Jason charged me nearly double what he quoted me over the phone (it ended up being $100 for a PARTIAL headlight (it was missing the running light portion) a grille,and a few others for a little Honda. He then tried to charge me $75 for labor because Rusty assisted me (labor cost was never mentioned ahead of time). I not only spent $100 on parts (again one was incomplete) (my mistake), I now have to pay an additional $45 to order the rest of the headlight in order to complete the headlight assembly. I would not recommend this place, very unprofessional and will not go back or recommend to anyone.

I have a wrecked vehicle that Lon's has told me they would pick up on Tuesday afternoon.Saturday morning it has not been picked up.I feel that I have been lied to and played with.kindergarten unprofessional.I intend to report them to better bussines,chamber of commerce and the state attorney general.this place shouldn't be allowed to operate.

The most horrible experience in a salvage yard I caught one of the employees smoking a meth pipe in one of the cars that was being salvaged out I would not recommend this place to anybody
