Just moved to Bailey 2 years ago when I had my son. This place has saved me many trips to conifer when oops I forgot to buy diapers. This place is super close and always stocked.

They’re never open. Seems like there are some problems with staffing or something. Lights are on. Doors are locked. Handwritten signs usually offer some pathetic excuse or apology.

Such a variety and having different things each time I go in is great. They carry most everything of the basics but the troves of different things they carry is what makes it best for me. Their staff are always friendly and accommodating and they're my go to for pet food. I really enjoyed shopping here.

Pros:I live in this area and this place is great! Awesome service and they carry a lot of the right things.Cons:Sometimes, due to being short staffed, they will close for large portions of the day even though it is "during their open business hours"They will often run out of products for a week or more at a time. This gripe isn't necessarily their fault since they service a large number of people that live in this area and options are very limited in the mountains. But I feel that it is still worth mentioningOverall:I docked 1 star from them because they are far from perfect but they are still a great addition to the area. I am willing to show some patience when it comes to this gem while they figure out how to deal with their growing pains.

I love this store! Any interaction with the staff is pleasant and there is a wide variety of products that fit my everyday needs. I once spent hours making an authentic pasta sauce only to realize I was out of pasta. Luckily, dollar General had pasta so I only had to drive 5 minutes to dollar General, instead of 20 minutes to the grocery store.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice clean store, it's close by and they do carry a good amount of useful items that CAN save you a trip to the grocery store.Cons: I've been here twice on two separate occasions over months apart and both times they were out of butter and margarine. Both times the clerk said they go through it quickly once it hits the shelf. So you're aware you're going through a staple item quickly but even months later you're not stocking more butter.I'll happily change my review to 5 stars once this consistent inventory problem is resolved.

I just closed on a house in Bailey today and didn’t have any food, water, and other items that I needed to get me through the night, I came here since it was the only store around that Google maps said was open, but they had a “Sorry we’re closed for the night” sign taped to the window 1.5 hours before their normal closing time. I know that in business inconsistency in hours makes you lose customers and business since people aren’t going to want to take the chance of driving all the way out here for a gamble of if their open of not again.

I have a cabin in Bailey, CO and there aren't any close grocery markets for about 40 miles. So the Dollar general has anything you may need if you forgot something at the grocery store. I love this store they're close and always open when I need something quick. The store is always well stocked and clean👍

Being disabled I'm grateful we have this store. It allows me to grab necessities without having to drive too far. The employees are always nice and helpful. I never seem to only spend $1 though.... more like $100 :)

Convenient and wide selection of home items, food, toys, medicine, decor, etc. It definitely seems way understaffed for the volume of traffic, but they just opened, so im not sure thats too surprising. Overall, its a good store, and its saved me a few trips to conifer in a blizzard!

Definitely saved me a trip to Conifer! I needed allergy eye drops and they had exactly what I was headed to King Soopers to get, cheaper too! The employees are friendly and helpful. I will go here again.

Thought senior shopping was the first hour they're open. Went there @ 10:15 am thought it was safe for me pick up milk for my13 year old son. Not!! Was turned away when I'm 55 my self!! Why do I get other senior discounts being 55?! Can't go later have go to work in an essential posotion!!

A significant portion of the population in Park County, Colorado had to drive 20 or more miles to get milk, bread, and basic supplies before the Dollar General store opened in 2019. For many of us Park Countians, Dollar General is less than 7 miles from home. The selection is good, and the prices are outstanding.

Dollar general is a great little stop in Bailey for miscellaneous food stuffs and necessities. Given that the closest grocery stores are over 12 miles away in Conifer, it can really save some time if you have forgotten or need the odd item. Unfortunately, there is no produce, but what they lack in healthy options they make up for in fun odds and ends!

They are understaffed and overworked. This is by no means the fault of the employees. The corporate only allows them so many hours for so many employees so they can not hire more staff till corpate gets off their buts and gives them more hours allowing them more staff. This is forcing them to shut the store down before their advertised closing time which is loosing them a lot of business.

Pleasantly surprised! A very comprehensive selection from milk and other perishable foods to housewares, gift wrap, bedding, to clothing and a few automotive items. Many brand names and many DG-branded items. DG is a great option to save you the one-hour $17 (@ $.58/mi) round trip to Conifer. Bailey is a retail desert. I plan to go fairly often to support them and keep this resource in our community.

An excellent quick stop in the mountains for just about anything you’d need for cooking, bathing, getting pretty, food items, pet items and food, auto tuning items and snacks... all at $1 pricing... I’m theatre at least twice a week!

I'm glad after 15 years being up herethere is finally a store that we can call our own our community convenience store not a store that fleece is us like the gas station convenience store I am happy that they will succeed

It's a local store, not fast and nothing exciting but you'll get the things you don't want to go 10 miles back to buy. It's the last place for groceries for another 40 miles.
