Really nice grocery store in downtown Avon. Large selections of fresh produce, seafood, prepared foods, bakery items, and more. Lots of local products. We were able to find everything we needed here and more. Good sale prices too!

Horrible experience. We spent much time planning and ordering online for pickup in preparation for a large group arriving from NC. All went through fine online and we received order confirmation and saw pending charge on credit card. We arrived in Avon after traveling all day and went to pickup and they did not have anything ready. No explanation. They just did not process it. No manager on site. And every employee spoke Spanish only. They tried to communicate with us through google translate. We had no choice but to spend time onsite finding and buying all the groceries ourselves making a very long day much longer and more tiring. The charge still remains pending on our credit card 4 days later and the cc company says wait to see if it goes through before they will take action. Terrible service for a store. Find somewhere else if at all possible! I order online for pickup all the time back home and have never had this happen.

They never have chicken tenders ready and can't get your meal made for you. Unwilling to make simple exceptions in the few combos they have available at the time. Horrible experience. Also the chicken was not very good when I did have it.

City Market has that rarest of rare things in this area: Affordable prices! The selection is very wide, they have a decent selection of organic items, and the fresh baked goods are good as well (we had a lemon cream cake). There are deals all over the store. If you have a Kroger card they take that, or they will give you a city card if you need one (you don't even have to register it to use it).

Very convenient location.Been there multiple timesToday the service counter was closed and I had never seen so many employees working on one day.Several of us lined up at service counter only to be told it was unmanned.When we asked for help from the employees standing in a circle, we were told that it the service counter was ’closed’ in the same tone that was equal to ‘go spit’ or ‘TS’.This location really shines for Kroger (not)

If you could get 1 of my pick up orders right, that would be nice. The last 3 times I have placed an order, I had out of stock items. I parked, walked in the store and found all of them. This is just lazy and defeats the point of using your pick up service. About 3 weeks ago it stated you were out of stuffing and turkeys. When I went in the store I found at least 50 of each of those items. They were the exact items I ordered, it wouldn't have even been a substitution. FRUSTRATING!

This review is of the pharmacy. Andy (pharmacy manager) probably needs to find a job where he doesnt have to interact with people. He was extremely rude to us, and the older gentleman who was in line in front of us who he told to "be quiet and listen to me"I would not suggest using this slow, and rude pharmacy.

Gloria in customer service was extremely rude and argumentative when I was simply trying to help make her job easier by not having to scan 20 of the same items for a return. . Never have I received such horrible customer service. The lack of professionalism and competency is astounding

We have stayed at the Christie Lodge, Comfort Inn and BEAVER CREEK in AVON COLORADO and the City Market is our place to buy our groceries. We have been going to AVON for the past 7 years to visit our grandson for the summer, we buy everything we need it is nice and clean and very well stocked and the people that work there have always been nice and friendly to us.we drive up there every last week in July. We were just there last week of July.

I like City Market in general. This one though... I dunno if the employees are just miserable or what, but 90% of them treat you as if they are doing you a favor for doing their jobs. The only part of the whole place that I've had good service is in the deli. They always seem happy to help. The pharmacy workers couldn't be bothered. The checkers and baggers will be on their cell phones or talking to one another, completely ignoring your existence, not even bothering to greet you as you come to checkout. I get it... I would hate working with entitled people and tourists all day every day too, but dang... at least fake it.

Go here if you want to bag your own groceries! The employees refused to open a normal checkout line while we had a huge cart of stuff and just stood there watching while we struggled at self checkout. Worst customer service.

It is a holiday weekend and I’ve run out of my prescription. Just spoke with Padar who I asked to give me a couple to get past the holiday. He told me it was up to him if he gives them out and was confrontational about it. I said I was confused because it’s not a controlled Rx, could he please. I asked him what his name is (as I’ve been using this pharmacy for years and have never been treated like this) he told me I shouldn’t talk like that (ask who it is at my pharmacy who’s acting like this?!), and that I can go to the ER to get a prescription! Told me I should have thought about it being a holiday before now!!) I will not use this pharmacy any more. I’ve heard of issues before but was in disbelief until today. Shockingly rude. I would give zero stars but that is not an option. Can’t believe it!

The staff at this City Market are the nicest people you will meet! They are friendly, helpful, and genuine want your shopping experience to be great. We have been shopping here for six years and I won't go anywhere else. I am also constantly impressed with the quality and freshness of food and availability of items, which is a big thing considering how many people come thru these doors!

We like to shop here because the store is much busier the the Safeway and the City Market in Vail so the produce is much fresher. The store manager Jeff is a very helpful guy with a great understanding of his store. Lisa in the bakery is great with cakes and always very helpful.

Store is great - friendly employees, fresh produce, quality meats and excellent cheese selection. However, the parking lot is laid out in the *worst* possible way. All the one-way lanes seem to be designed to go the wrong way! It's maddening. Wish I could say I shopped there all the time but if the lot looks full, I head to Wal-Mart and avoid the parking headache.

Do NOT NOT NOT use the delivery service. We came in for skiing, and ordered groceries in advance. They charged our card and gave us a delivery time in the mid afternoon on the day of our arrival. They texted a two hour delay, then another, and then no-showed - no food, no groceries, no communication, no apology. It turns out they outsource the delivery to an outfit called Instacart, and though they (City Market) took our money, they take no responsibility and won't help.

The City Market in Avon Colorado must be a cash cow for Kroger's. It is always busy. My main complaint is that people don't know how to navigate the parking lot.The selection of goods at this location is first rate. Huge variety of organic food and health supplements. Prices for the location are not bad and the staff is for the most part extremely helpful. Great store and staff!!!

I loved and enjoyed this regional chain, previously I had experienced the sister stores known as v Kroger while in the Atlanta area. We ordered our wedding cake which b was amazingly delicious and did v all of our food shopping while in the area. Loved the Seafood department most.

Jeff the store manager was very inconsiderate when I approached him about this beautiful $120 orchid arrangement that had died within two weeks.He was irritated in his tone of voice and needs to work on customer service skills especially speaking to customers who send him business and tell everyone about their stunning orchids.Very big disappointment and will be sure to tell people my experience.
