Special Friends is hands down the BEST veterinary services in all of Denver. Dr. Morgan is so kind, empathetic but also extremely thorough and detail oriented when it comes to the care of my older dog. She is so kind and loving towards animals but she takes the time to make sure they are receiving the best possible treatment. I cannot recommend her enough.If I lived in a different state, I would travel to see Dr. Morgan and all of the staff at Special Friends because they are that good. The front desk staff are so kind and easy to speak with. This place is worth every penny and I would recommend Dr. Morgan and all of the friendly staff at Special Friends to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

I took my Toy Australian Shepherd here to start her puppy shots. Everyone was so friendly and really seemed to care. I loved how upfront they were with what the cost of everything would be and got my approval first. They made me feel very comfortable and confident that my new puppy would be well taken care of there throughout her life. I look forward to moving my other dog’s care to Special Friends as well.

I came here because I had adopted a cat from the Aurora Animal Shelter and this was one of the vets offices they work with. They were super friendly and helpful. They got me in quickly and listened to all the concerns I had. They loved my sweet baby and took pictures and were excited for his next check up. I’d recommend this place to everyone!

Always get friendly and helpful service and advice at Special Friends. Barb at the front desk is very helpful and has been there for a very long time. Amanda and all of the staff are very knowledgeable. Dr KIsh is wonderful and a delight to deal with. Linda in grooming is great and has also been with Special Friends for years and year. We have been clients at Special Friends since 1984 and have always been very satisfied with the service and staff! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

I think the veterinarians are the best. They care about my dogs and are happy to discuss any problems if concerns we haveI also have my dogs groomed there and never have a problem with how the dogs were cut. Dr. Morgan, and everyone else at special friends have been absolutely phenomenal in caring for my two dogs. Dr. Morgan does such a wonderful job in being thorough, informative, cautious, and soft all while being incredibly empathetic to us as pet owners. The doctors and staff are great! Always helpful. My older dog has had a couple of emergencies over the last couple of months. They have responded to every call and question about meds and prescription food quickly and stayed on the phone with me until they were sure I understood what I needed to do.

The veterinarians and vet techs in the exam rooms are all highly competent and wonderful, BUT the office bookkeeping staff has made three major errors in the past 60 days. I have been bringing my 4 cats to them since 2020, but I left Special Friends yesterday and will not return.Examples of errors:a) I was given written estimate for general anesthesia and dental work for my 20-22 year old cat, with a root likely up in the sinus cavity. Estimate included ANOTHER $290 for 3rd blood work, same cat, in just 60 days. They admitted it was unnecessary & removed the superfluous charge.b) Staff called this week & claimed the same 20-22 year old cat needs vaccs before his procedure scheduled for today, but all 4 cats had already had vaccs in late March. Staff said I needed to bring in proof of his up-to-date vaccs, BUT the vaccs were all done by Special Friends only 6 WEEKS ago.The office bookkeeping staff clearly needs some training and supervision! Accurate record keeping is a must to avoid injury to pets and overcharges to owners. I have paid nearly $3,000 to this clinic in the past 60 days, but they still cannot keep the computer records accurate. Accurate and complete medical and payment records are a must to avoid injury pets and overcharges to owners.This same 20-22 year old cat is listless, wetting everywhere since yesterday, eats only what I spoon feed him, and his urine is clear with no odor. How on earth Special Friends did not notice lack of kidney function in the two blood work lab results totalling just under $600 in the past 60 days I do NOT understand. Instead of $1,200 worth of dental work today, this kitty will be put to sleep by a vet he has never even seen. I definitely will never take another pet into Special Friends! I also will NEVER recommend Special Friends to anyone.

They got my service dog, Artemis in that day for an urgent situation. It was our first time there because our regular vet was closed. The staff, tech and doc were wonderful. They estimated everything and wrote a prescription to Walwart to save us some money on a dog antibiotic that humans take, too. Overall, so good we are considering changing vets...

Almost $500 for a sick visit for our dog. Included physical exam, blood test and urinalysis which didn’t show any problems, and a very small amount of muscle relaxer and pain medication for back pain. We were only there for about 20 minutes. The care was fine but sure shocked at the amount they charged.

I came here initially because I just adopted a dog (Rad) and this place had great reviews, and a lot of them. My experience was very good… friendly staff, I was seen on time, they seemed very knowledgeable and I didn’t feel like they tried to sell me on things I didn’t need. Location was easy to find and my dog felt comfortable which means a great deal to me.I will continue to bring Rad here for his care.

I thank the workers in the office who always take good care of my pet each and every time with gentleness. This is a plus due to the nervousness or my pet when encountering strangers. Prices are affordable and time of care is reasonable. Establishment is clean but I would still prefer wearing a mask if you have pet dander allergies.

We were so excited to establish care at this local vet clinic after moving to the area, but we were left with a bad taste in our mouths. Staff were rude and unwelcoming. Dr. Kish lacks professional bed side manner and interpersonal skills. Called my husband a liar and demonized him for wanting to try homeopathic methods for our dog’s “allergies.” Told him he had his wires crossed. Blamed us for making our dogs life miserable. Not to mention the cost. Left not feeling so “special.” Will not be returning.

So I needed to get my service dog seen. We are new to Aurora and she has an ongoing eye infection. I called to make an appointment, had to reschedule due to my personal health. Well the appointment didnt save in my phone so I assumed like any modern vet clinic they would send a friendly email reminder, text or call. Did ANY contact happen? NOPE. ZERO COMMUNICATION. Is this how you treat your new clients? I see this vet getting almost ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS! How!? The lack of communication makes me extremely nervous to take my special girl here for care! We are finding a vet that knows how to communicate with their clients! This is HORRID business. And ive had two successfully ran businesses. I dont see how they are operating like this!!! Very poor communication. If you need a good vet please look somewhere else!! This place sounds like they just want your money!! AVOID!!!

I cant say enough about the team at Special friends Veterinary. My wife and myself are Long haul truck drivers and live out of state. Our poor boy came down sick sick sick. They worked us in with Dr Kish.If we are back and need any vet service we will come here. Thank you to all the Staff for getting our boy back on his feet.

Everyone was amazing! For 9 years I have been told the only way to groom my dog was to do it while he was completely under for his dental cleaning. They did an even better job with him awake than what I get when he gets a medical groom at his usual place. They even recorded a video showing me how relaxed he was while being combed which is unheard of for my little guy.

We had a great post adoption check and urgent visit 2 days later here. We really felt like they genuinely cared about our pet. We have been to some vets and felt very pressured to do every test and spend $$$ but this one wasn’t like that, which is so very appreciated. We will be back.
