I unfortunately had a terrible experience here. First, they refused to honor the free exam visit for first time guests. I was asked to come back TWICE because the first time they were understaffed (waited over an hour before being asked to reschedule) and the second time they were out of the routine shots my dog needed. The vet is rude and the staff is wildly unhelpful. I cannot stress enough how inefficient this place is and how little the staff respects their patients’ time. They boast about being an “affordable option” but cost just as much as the boutique vet offices in town. Would not recommend as I’ve now been 3 times and each time is more unpleasant than the last.

Avoid this place. I have taken 2 dogs and a cat there. Every time I go in for an appointment, I wait at least 30 minutes for my pet to be seen. They also seem to always come up with something additional to pay for.Today I waited 45 minutes for a cat nail trim. The tech came in and after 45 minutes and told me, oh by the way, you need an annual exam too. Um, what? Sure, you need $120 for the vet to listen to heart and lungs, look at teeth, and weigh my cat (exactly what I was told the vet would do). I was told they would not do the nail trim without this exam. I had no idea when I booked this usually 5 minute nail trim I should plan to pay $140. I was also talked into getting Vital Care previously, on the premise it would only cost my $20 each time for my cat's nail trim. What a scam. After a solid hour of waiting, they come back to tell me they could only trim 12 of her nails, she would not let them do it (yes, that is why I have to bring her in), and when I asked why they didn't use the helmet on her that worked seamlessly the last two times was told they didn't have it any longer. Shocker it did not work. I was also told in a shameful voice - YOUR cat scratched me, now I have to go to urgent care. Clearly they don't know what they are doing here.I was then charged $47 - $4 per nail basically. I had to argue what an absurdity that was and go through 2 people to get a discount. I am yet to have a good experience here with my dogs or cat. I have been a vet tech before, I know what it is like. I would not recommend this vet to anyone. Please avoid.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. The Vet Tech Kristy, and the doctor, Kelly Stalpes, were both so thoughtful and kind. I was having such a stressful day with my cat being sick and all of the potential money we needed to spend to get him better, and they both just helped so much with easing my concerns and going above and beyond to help where they could. Thank you so much to both Kristy and Kelly, I was so glad to have Archie in good hands while he was there!

About a year ago, this clinic changed from thrive to vetco and unfortunately everything went downhill.Thrive was super affordable and we enjoyed our monthly $10 plan that covered check ups and gave discounts on medicine, etc. Vetco is extremely expensive compared to thrive. They also don’t offer surgeries at this location anymore. I dislike that you can’t directly call the clinic, but instead have to call the general number, which takes so much longer.Thrive always sent us text updates for appointments and shots. The new system does not let you know when vaccines are due and I didn’t get any notices (emails or calls) letting me know several vaccines have expired. If you see reviews on here that are more than a year old, just know that the clinic has changed and the old reviews were written about thrive, not vetco

There must have been a dramatic change in people the last year because I actually feel comfortable and confident that my cat is getting the help he needs with his diabetes. With high level of care, April, was extremely sweet to my pet and made sure everything went smoothly and that I was prepared for at home care. Thank you!

Very very disappointed so hard to find good vet care this place is not it don't believe the reviews. I spent over $500 thought my dog might be experience trachea issues walked out of there after paying for X-rays they can't read with heart medicine they don't know if my dog even needs but cost over $100 bucks but now my dog is coughing even worse and 3 weeks later they still can't read the X-rays or update me I basically gave $500 to them for $100 bottle of nmedicine my dog may not even need it's surely made it worse . Please save your money and pet go some place else tried to give them a second chance but could not get a followup appt the receptionist was really rude. I give up on this place worst money I ever spent if you love your pets don't take them here please

I strongly regret going to this clinic. I have tried time and time again with this clinic in hopes that they were only having a rough few days.... I first visited this location with all four of my fur babies (2 cats and 2 dogs) in May of 2023 for their annual vet visit, everything seemed fine. One of my cats is a senior baby. We did a senior profile on him and talked about bringing him back in for further treatment. They sent us home with some prescriptions and some homework (a probiotic, a streiod, some special food to order and a urine sample to get). We followed everything they said. Then, before they ran another test on him, We get a call from another vet from the same clinic that said they weren't sure why they were using such an aggressive treatment (the streiods). We dropped our kitty off at the clinic (after being told the vet called out, but since we were just doing a bladder poke, we could come in). We called to check in the day of the appointment about 4 different times, not once reaching the actual clinic. Then we never received the results of the bladder poke. We did recieve another call from the clinic (again, it was a different vet) stating that our furbaby needed to be weaned off of the streiods. We finally decided to go to a different vet and when my new vet tried to get my cat's medical records from Vetco. Vetco only sent them a summary from our original appointment (which didn't even have a description of our cat). We are now in a tough situation where his special food is out and we aren't able to get it order through Petco (Vetco Total Care in the Arvada Petco prescribed the food, Petco {which owns Vetco Total Care} can't verbally confrim the prescription, and my new vet agreed with the food but didn't see the need to re-write because my current prescription was working) and the Vetco Total Care in the Arvada Petco is closed until the 29th even though Google says they're open.. Again, I will say, I strongly regret ever going to this Clinic in the first place....

I had an appointment recently and no one called to inform us the doctor was out and the appointment was cancelled so we drove all the way over there for nothing. The next available appointment was several days out. Poor customer service, just go to your local vet.

Brought my dog Tiger in to get checked out with a limited budget. And the vets were so nice and accommodating to both Tiger and my needs. Also the most affordable vet in the entire Denver area. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Thank you Dr. McDowell, Kate and the rest of the staff for taking such wonderful care of our fur babies!! Our dogs have always received excellent care and we can trust that they are in good hands with you!! Thanks for finding the culprit of her inflammation in her foot and giving her lots of love today!

Simply outstanding staff and service. We recently took our newly adopted 6-week old kitten in to be checked out. We explained that she hadn't used the litter box on the 20 hours since we brought her home. They walked us through how to stimulate her to go potty. They were kind and clearly care about animals. We were able to continue to communicate with the vet and get advice through their text system.

Wonderful, friendly staff. They managed to squeeze me in on a day when they were fully booked and short staffed as I had to send my beloved collie over the rainbow bridge. Kate , Sarah and Dr. Gogolski made the whole process as painless and quick as possible. They were all so kind and it was very much appreciated. Thank you all for providing such a wonderful service ina stressful situation.

This place sucks so hard. I got here on time for my appointment and nobody was in front to greet me. I waited 30 minutes, and then they told me I was late so they can't see my dog. If I could give negative stars I'd give negative 5. I am livid. I have just dropped off my blind dog at home and I'm heading back to have a conversation with the vet about why they don't care about my pet. After getting back to ask them, they just told me "sir why would you wait for 30 minutes" and called me a lier. I'm so livid right now. I wouldn't take a goldfish to this location with how I was treated.

Vet couldn’t detect end stage cancer in my dog and instead said he was completely fine. I experienced harmful incompetence and zero integrity here. I had brought my 13 year old dog in for an exam because I had concerns about his health. After an exam, blood work, and urine samples, the vet said there was nothing wrong with him. I knew there was something wrong and his health continued to decline so 3 weeks later I brought him to another clinic for a second opinion, and this other vet found end stage cancer throughout his entire body and he had to be euthanized that day. I am beyond upset and bewildered as to why the Vetco vet found him to be healthy! Additionally, I later read his medical record from the Vetco visit that included a note that said she noticed a cardiac murmur (which was a symptom of the anemia/bleeding resulting from the cancer) during the exam, but it was “not discussed with the owner because there was not time for that during a wellness exam”. This is total malpractice in my book and the vet should be ashamed.

Went in for an emergency visit for my dog as she was acting like she was in pain. The vet was knowledgeable and friendly and the attending tech was so sweet and my dog loved her. They made my pup feel safe and kept her calm the whole time. Glad to say my pepper is doing much better now thanks to them!

Doesn’t make sense to charge for a visit when only receiving a vaccine. Also we waited 40 minutes before being seen by the tech just to tell us that they ir notifications for the bi annual wellness check was a mistake and in fact my pet was not due for that. They should have a better system to check before you drive all the way there and just to be told that you actually aren’t due to come in. Also the tech that helped us had helped us in the past and continue to call my dog a she when he is a he. It’s funny that they do not even look at the chart of the pet they are seeing. Very annoying. The front desk gal was very polite.

Today we had an appointment scheduled for our pup. When my wife arrived they did not have her on the schedule . My wife proceeded to show them the confirmation text she had received stating the appointment and time. The first person that helped was extremely rude telling my wife she should have never been able to make an appointment and then told my wife she was wrong. She invisibly was having a bad day and decided to take it out on my wife. Then she proceeded to tell another customer about the issue we were having. Which is none of their business. The second person to help us was courteous and respectful . We ended up having to reschedule, but with the way the first person treated us. I would rather go somewhere else. People make mistakes and sometimes schedules get confused. That doesn’t mean be rude to them. Especially when it was your system that was wrong and not the customer

If i could give this location a 0 rating i would. The cancel 15 minutes before appts, never get prescriptions filled in a timely manner, they rush through appts and their system never works. Strongly suggest avoid this location and visit the location in Belmar - BY FAR better service.

I took my 4 dogs in to get their annual shots recently and the people at Vetco treated me and my animals with kindness. This is the second time I’ve used their service’s. I highly recommend them for shots!(Lambchop didn’t want to leave after her shots, she was cuddling with the lady who was helping give the shots as pictured here - they were so painless she didn’t even flinch.)

Update: Thrive has made changes to their scheduling and it has been very helpful. I have been able to get my fur baby into his family vet on two occasions now that were emergencies. They treat my very delicate dog with compassion and it means the world to me.This place has really gone down hill. They are double booking everyone, even though they are short-handed. I showed up for my appointment and was sent home because they were too busy. An appointment I waited 3 weeks for. I can never get in as an emergency appointment. Each time I'm told to take my dog to Urgent Care! So what is the point of having a family vet if I am going to keep paying Urgent care prices? If they are always this overwhelmed how good of care is my dog receiving?UPDATE: my appointment was canceled and rescheduled AGAIN this week (9/14/21)...ugh...

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS VET! If there was a zero star rating, I would give them zero stars. We took our dog there for a follow up visit to test levels after they had placed her on medication. They had no idea why our dog was there. They tried to run tests that had already been completed at the initial visit. When my husband started questioning them as to why those tests needed to be run again, they refused to complete our dog's visit and refused to give us our dog's medical records. The person there before us was also asked to leave without completing their visit. In addition, to this horrible experience, this vet will nickle and dime you. At the initial visit, we had been quoted one price and the bill was much more. We have 3 dogs we brought to the initial visit. Every single one cost more than they had initially quoted us. They care more about money than your animals.Customer service is horrid. You get sent to a national call line. You can't get through to a local person. Never had a worse experience with a vet.UPDATEThey respond to reviews claiming to want more information, but then, they never respond to the emails. I was also assured I would receive a phone call from the regional manager on June 7. A week later and still no phone call. Horrible customer service!!I have since taken my dog to another vet who confirmed my original thoughts. Thrive was trying to order tests that were not necessary for my dog. As I said, never take your pet here.

This was my first time in a while and things seemed a lot smoother from scheduling my appt to my actual visit and paying for it. I hadn’t met that particular vet and she was awesome! Everyone working that day was great! I love coming here again!

These dumb vets gave me the wrong pills. The pill bottle I was given has someone else’s full name, address, and pet information. It wasn’t even the right drug - thank the lord I noticed before giving them all to my dog. Thankfully, too, I wasn’t given a severe drug that could’ve harmed my dog. Absolutely ridiculous. You’d think that vets would be trustworthy enough to actually give you the same pills as they prescribe you.

This has to be hands down the best vet I have found. I have never had a dog that is happy to see the vet until now, so you must be doing it right! Thank you!!

We decided to use Thrive for our Basset hound puppy’s vet and it was the best choice! He’s only been for 2 visits so far (puppy check ups) but the staff and doctors are fantastic! Answered all of my new puppy questions and took great care of him. They also have great safety precautions due to COVID. New easy to follow procedures that made sure I felt the staff and myself were safe. You also can’t beat the affordability! There is no lack of service or care due to it being more cost friendly. I 100% recommend bringing your pets to THRIVE!

The Thrive team helped my dog have a good first vet experience. They came back from lunch break and we were immediately taken back to our exam room, and the vet tech and vet came to see him promptly as well. Everyone was so nice and we were in and out after exam and vaccines. Good value as well.

I’ve brought two of my puppies here and Hailey has always given professional, realistic suggestions and options to me. Sometimes you get people who pressure you into expensive and not necessary things but she never did. She is great, friendly and you can tell how much she loves animals. This vet has been great to us so far and will continue going.

Very thankful to Thrive Pet for the care they provided to my dog Finley! Had to take her in due to her having diarrhea recently, and from start to finish they made it simple and easy to receive some much needed veterinary care. Finley loved all the people around her, especially Patricia who was her vet tech. You could tell they cared for each pet coming in and wanted to help. Was hesitant before coming in, but was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend for others in the future!
