Aside from the humorous name, Al-Mart is an essential stop for me if I'm passing through. The employees are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. They have just about anything you need on a road trip or for some quick body fuel. The reviews mentioning prices are more than likely people unfamiliar with small mountain towns. Prices are completely reasonable and on par with most other mountain towns I have visited.

The service was amazing. They are warm and welcoming. My buddy wanted to buy a vest for his dog, and even though they don't want dogs in the store, they told him to bring in his dog to try them on to see which one fit. Their selection of food and misc is great, so definitely recommend stopping in there.

Do not go here. Prices are 2x-3x anything you'll find in FairPlay or Breckenridge. Employees are extremely rude.edit in response to owner reply: Your assertion is not only wrong, but speaks for itself.... you are exactly the type of people who would make such an unfounded accusation in order to justify ignoring criticism. For future reference, don't make assumptions you can't back up; otherwise you're just embarrassing yourself.As for your claim that this is the first review about rude employees, here you go: "Mask mandates or not, you don't have to be rude to customers. Unfortunately I needed a receipt from this nice little town and this is the only store. I wonder if they're this rude to the residents."I am local who is consistently treated poorly by your employees; that you cannot accept this is your issue, not mine. Grow up and deal with it. I would reduce you to zero stars, but unfortunately I can't do that. I am definitely going to encourage locals and renters to avoid your store. Just the pettiness of your response speaks for itself.Moreover, 10 minutes away in Fairplay are convenient stores with prices that are half that of yours, so your claim that such steep prices are necessary is simply false. If the privately owned gas station 10 minutes away can provide the same items at the half the price, it proves you wrong and your claim insincere.And for the record, it's illegal to vape in places of employment in Colorado (Stat. § 25-14-203(16) (2022)), so anyone doing that should have been kicked out. Unfortunately for you, I don't vape, and my criticism was earnest.

Great pit stop in Alma, CO with more groceries and rugged outdoor gear by Carhart than you might ever suspect from the small western storefront in a small mountain town. Good selection of camping supplies, and some of the best local bumper stickers this side of the continental divide!

This is a awesome country store in the mountains. They have an amazing selection of Carhart at great prices. The history of this location is one that must be explored and appreciated. The items for sale are great, to include snacks food, and other camping essentials. The staff is always incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you if you need it. I can't recommend this store enough!

I don’t care if I have to drive 200 miles from one end of the state to get here, we will never visit Colorado without stopping and visiting. Get ready to walk in to the coziest general store you will ever visit. You feel like you are in a movie as you shop around this snug mountain shop filled with local made apparel. If you don’t buy the local made sweater gloves, did you really visit Colorado? We have two pairs and it will never be enough. Snag a cup of hot coffee while you shop and pick up a pair of the gloves and an Al-Mart general store beanie. One thing is for sure, next time we will be getting Al-Mart hoodies! This place should be in every mountain magazine in existence.

Karen and Corey have the best shop in Park Co! Especially for those in Alma! Almart is the neatest convenience shop that also offers all your needs for clothing up here as well. I’m the 10 years we’ve lived here they have been so kind to bring in and carry things I’m going through a phase with, under the conditions it’s something other customers would enjoy as well. For a while it was chocolate snack pack puddings, then it was orange Gatorade, and the last thing was those strawberry cupcakes! I had to quit my cupcake a day habit and I guess they stopped selling as fast as I was eating them so they stopped caring those as well. But now Almart carry’s Nerds Gummy Clusters! You rock Almart!!!

This place is great. We come in all the time, and always greeted with a smile. They have unique things and your basic staples. The carhartt and shoe section is nice with some off the beaten path items. It is a classic mercantile store that fits perfect in this town.

Love this general store. They really do have everything you could need. Food, fishing, camping, hunting, firewood, etc. Basically everything you can imagine except guns and booze. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They also have a carhartt store connected and a boot store upstairs. If you need it they have it. My wife was making fun of me for how much I kept talking about it, but it really is the coolest store I have ever been in.

The Owners are some of the kindest people I've ever crossed paths with. I will never be able to thank you enough. When my car broke down on the side of the road & you gave me a ride into town you didn't just drop me off but let your husband know my situation & he welcomed me in & was so kind till my ride showed up from Florescent CO.Wonderful store & even better people.
