The bike guys were awesome (the entire staff and owners too). When you pay shy of $300 for a tune up you want to feel like they care - lol! They went over everything they did and why, the why is important! They kept me informed of pricing, no surprises, and my bike was ready when promised. Heading off for a few days to test her out at some of my favorites spots outside the SLV.

We were here to rent some sandboards, but given the current snowy conditions, they were not available.Regardless of this, Bruce was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area and suggested other activities we could try. He sure knows his stuff.We ended up buying 2 sleds and a few other things, and had an absolute blast going down the steep & snowy sand dunes!If you are in the area, feel free to stop by and buy something to support an awesome local business.

My family of four stopped by to rent sand boards and sleds for a day at Sand Dunes, ended up leaving with a few other items as well. What a great shop! We worked with Katie and are grateful for the time she gave us, talking through what to expect, tips on using the sand boards, ect. The instructions she gave us made our day at the dunes even better. The interactions we had with other staff at this shop were excellent also. If you need any gear in the Alamosa area, this is the place. Thank you, Katie.

This place was great. We were staying in Alamosa to visit the Great Sand Dunes and stopped in on a whim. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more friendly or better shopping experience. The staff was readily available, personable, and gave us some great tips on the area. We were also able to rent a sand sled for the dunes. Overall a great place to grab some gear if you are in the area.

They didn’t exactly have everything I need. They don’t have any wind stop glove liners, They are out of season I guess. I did grab a bike light. I need a solar shower and a bike lock, But prices are a lot higher than if I just go to Amazon and get it delivered straight to the door. I want to like the store. The kid at the register was really great. Everybody was really kind and went out of their way to check the store to make sure they had some things but they just didn’t have what I needed. Which is fine. It’s all right. They put the bike light together so I could figure out how it works which was really nice and I appreciate it

I went in to buy a backpack as I'm not too pleased with the Gregory Jade I bought online due to lack of pocket. I didn't experience the great customer service when I walked in not even a hello but there was about 3 people working behind the counter and lots of talking. The backpacks are all hanging up way up high on the wall so you can't touch them and I guess you need to ask for assistance for someone to get one down. After standing there looking up for a while you would have thought someone would have came around to say hi and ask but nothing. They have all these signs around the store to support local shopping and not to just come to see and then buy online. I came with the intention to buy in person as I didn't want to deal with shipping and not liking something, but now I remember why I rather buy online.I live in South Fork and appreciate having a store like this close enough. They seemed to carry enough of items that you could need for your adventures.I was looking at shoes and a gentlemen that was cleaning did ask if I needed to try on to let him know, but that was the only interaction.Consider lowering the backpacks and make it easier for those wishing to look to have access to the items, if not ask your employees to be aware and offer help. I may have bought a backpack today.

The BEST in Colorado! We moved here two years ago from Boulder County and are soooo thankful for this store to fuel our outdoor adventures. The selection of equipment for all seasons is tremendous. We just bought our 11 and 12 year old boys their first real mountain bikes and the experience is what keeps us coming back. Great selection, super knowledgeable & caring staff and fair prices. And.... five years after my first review, here we are again. Five MORE stars, if I could. The recommendation for a pair of skis given how I ski and what I related to their staff was made given what I already owned and wanted to add to the quiver. Bindings mounted same day. Now, having skied on them at Wolf Creek.... BANG ON with what I was looking for. Love the boards and frankly, they might wind up being my one-ski quiver -- they're THAT good although I won't QUITE give up on my other pairs JUST yet.Shop here folks.Original from five years ago:The staff is great, they know their product and make good recommendations. I was headed to Wolf Creek to do some skiing, wanted to replace my boots, and their recommended pair was spot-on. They also have a decent selection of rentals if you want to try something new -- again, after talking with me and understanding how and what I ski now, I came away with two pair to try -- and now, for next season, I know where to aim when looking to buy.Good people, great service -- and not just for skiing. They also have a nice selection of backpacking and other outdoor sport gear.Strongly recommended.

Have been looking at a couple pair of boots to order online. After experiencing the personalized service to find just the right pair I am glad I didn’t order online. I would have ended up with the wrong pair and most importantly the wrong size. For not a lot more, I have the peace of mind I have a pair (OBOZ) that will be comfortable and meet my needs for many many hikes to come. Thanks much for answering all my questions and explaining the differences in terms I can understand.

Tanya and Destiny prepared us south Texans for our first ever cross country ski adventure! They got Logan to give us trail recommendations near where we were staying up by Cumbres Pass!! And thank goodness they talked this outta shape 49yo woman into some oxygen, I kept up with all the others as we swished swashed up to 10,700ft!!! And that was over 1000ft from parking, super proud of and and VERY grateful for the staff!

If you’re renting sandboards, this is the perfect place to go. There’s almost always walk-in availability and the boards are only $20/day. The renting and return process was also quite fast, efficient, and hassle free, and the staff were really nice. Go check it out if it’s on your way to the sand dunes National park

Stopped in from out of town to shop for shoes. Ryan was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable I was able to walk out the door not only with perfect fitting shoes, but also several other apparel items. All the staff was super friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve been living in Alamosa for a couple years now, and I love this store! I go to the front range almost monthly, and I still prefer to get my outdoor gear here. Their service is exceptional! I got my bike here last summer and they tuned up my husbands bike that day so we wouldn’t miss a ride. Lots of knowledge about the local trail system. We always get our snowboard rentals here, bring our guests for rentals too. The service is top notch all around! I’ve purchased my hiking boots, snow boots, gloves- I just love the service and quality of everything offered here. The staff is fantastic! We rented a snowboard earlier this week, a few sand boards yesterday- you really can’t beat this place. Stop in and check them out! You won’t be disappointed!

The staff is outstanding folks. Raleigh (spelling?) was excellent with our daughter fitting skis and really every person there is knowledgeable and genuine. The store is packed full of great gear and it is beautifully laid out. Don't pass this place up as you can tell it is family owned and operated and they take pride in their work and clearly enjoy the outdoors too.
