A cool place to stretch the bones and look around.The folks here really care about keeping this part of history alive.The mercantile area is absolutely beautiful and era correct almost like it's frozen in time but that's due to the community truly caring about their history.Were I ever to setting down, find a place to call home, this would be the area I would gladly spend my final days!!!

Great place with some unique history displayed. Plus, it is a very convenient place to buy gas before heading up to the pass.

Aguilar is small and great. The Mercantile was very impressive. Now getting out of town with a truck and camper trailer was a chore... But a neighbor helped with directions!!!

These reviewers should look at the back of the store. Their open trash containers are on someone else's private property. Bears, skunks, raccoons regularly get into the trash spreading it around the neighborhood. And the Mercantile makes no effort to keep their garbage under control. Not very community centric as posted on their website
