I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about at this location. I have been coming here since they opened. Living at the west end of Yucca Valley, this place is a lifesaver for not having to drive all the way in to town to grab every day necessities. The people that run the store, Ben and Cheryl, are awesome. All of the staff currently working there is great as well. They are very friendly and helpful. The store stays as stocked as it can be considering the corporate downfall of sending product or just normal supply chain interruptions that everyone is experiencing. Ignore the A-holes bad reviews. This place is a great minute shop.

Just visiting from out of state. It is always a comfort seeing a Dollar General as it's kind of like seeing a Walmart in every town, it's familiar and a good feeling. This location I on has plenty of parking,the store was very clean,no extra stock in the isles like othe DG I've been in. The store looked very new if not it was that clean,bright and a great place to save money with a great selection like Walmart just easier and quicker to get in and get out. I say to all locals support this store as it should and is a great thing they are an alternative to the competition make them your first thought. The staff also was very helpful and pleasant.

Pretty good as dollar generals go. Nice to have a place to buy a few items rather than drive to Yucca. Best price on firewood in the area. New DG market remodeling

Absolutely great price!!! Your choice of merchandise is amazing. With all the weekly deals you can't go wrong. And the fresh produce they have is a bargain. And not to mention the great customer service I got from Tom, one of the employees here was a tremendous help. Tom has a vastly knowledgeable approach to your needs.

It was really nice experience every time I go in there I can spend hours just looking around at all the different things they have. You could get just about anything you were looking for there maybe except for meat but they do have a frozen food section with a lot of different varieties really like the store people were great. Be safe all

Stopped by to pick up some supplies while passing through town. Store had what we needed at a reasonable price. Cashier helped us get a decent discount that saved us a couple of bucks. Location was continent and easy to locate from the road.

My visit was was okay. They only have 1 registered going,and when it backs up the poor cashier can never find any help. It always seem like when I go in that they have produce on the floor to get worked that never gets works, but it is in the way of the walk way. This day I was picking up one thing, and when I got to the register to pay, it rang up a different price from what the tag on the shelf said. I hope things get better in that little store.

Manager does nothing but walk in and out smoking cigarettes, he cant even brush his hair or teeth. Every time I'm ther, hes always following me not doing his job. I come there at least 3 times a week because its the closest most convenient store around. I have never stolen nor gave the guy any reason to harass me but i guess he'll do anything to get out of helping customers. Today i went there and there was only one person at the register and she wasnt even there half the time, constantly walking back and forth doing other stuff. The store manager and assistant manager were just standing there in one of the back isles talking to one another the entire time i was there, probably a good 20 minutes. There was a few ladies even complaining about no help and how they could just walk out with all their stuff, yet the manager was no where to be found. Finally the lady came and helped everyone and what do i see the manager doing? Going outside to smoke a cigarette. I will be sending in a letter to get him removed from that store, for he is not fit to be a manager. This store in a joke, always new people working there, they don't know how to do really anything because no one can teach them. I've been going there for the past 3 years and it only gets worse and worse each time.

Nice people and not real busy. Usually love to shop here. NOT TODAY! I am 75 and have a disability due to 10 steel rods and as many screws in my back. So walking can be hard and lifting even harder. I know most of the checkers and they are always happy to double bag my order and keep the bags light. So, today there is a new checker who says NO when I ask to double bag my order. According to her THEY ONLY DOUBLE BAG HEAVY STUFF! Uh, excuse me, but these are groceries not garden supplies. If a customer asks for double bags on a 5 bag order how big a deal is that! None for the checker but a big deal for me walking down a 50 foot slope driveway!! I was put off by such a petty remark. I have shopped here since they opened 2-3 times a week as does my son. The 99 cent store always double bags for me with never a complaint. I guess now they make the checker pay for extra bags?? WHAT A CROCK!!

They had an excellent customer service rep. this morning very friendly named Jonathan I believe. That one is a keeper helped me find a fast nutritious breakfast for my kids quick before they left to school thanks.

Shelf pricing is very deceiving- items that seemed to be marked 2/$5 were only for certain company brands but this wasnt clear at all! I only found out once I got to the register. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Had great experience yesterday at the Yucca Valley Doller General, bought a large amount of items cart running over, needed help to get it to my truck, two young men (19-20 age) came to my rescue, pushed out the cart and unloaded my items into the truck for me. Put me in a very good feeling for our future youth. Lady's working at the store are always very helpful, and friendly. Wish the would get produce in the store, then it would be a one store shopping for me..

Well, I normally shop for lots of produce and healthy food, but I do like to run in there for a quick "this or that"if you know what I mean. They have a pretty good selection of less expensive clothing and other items.

The fine employees remembered me from only one visit! They were amazingly helpful the first time I visited their store. And it IS 'their store'. The young lady helping me knew where every little thing was located and really showed Mr around!

This store is open till 10 pm. everyday is so close to my house 5minaway has everything you would need very reasonable prices so when I need anything at all last min. & can not make it to the larger store its the next best & convenient place to go!!..i give it a THUMBS UP!!

Store is a mess. Dollar general is a false advert. Should be 3 to 4 dollar general. Why we have 4 of these in our area ill never know. Was a good spot upon opening,but lately has gone the way side. I do not shop here.

If you have nothing but time to stand in the checkout line, then this is the store for you. They are understaffed and their employees are nice but are not very helpful. Location is convenient to where I live and prices are low. Giving it two stars.

This store was clean and stock put up. You are out of peanut clusters as most of your other locations. Desert Hot Springs is the dirtest Dollar General. The bag dog food was left outside since store opened. The store needs better management

Wow great prices and good stock I got a mega roll of paper towels 210 sheets for 1.00 do I bought several rolls also white rain shampoo 1.00 etc etc nice store and impressed...... Giving Wal Mart a run for the money I'll go back to Dollar general.. lots and lots of value everywhere in the store

Of course in the economic situation we find ourselves in, it is always good to be able to take advantage of good deals. Well Dollar General is one place that fits the bill. Walk in with $20.00 and it is possible to leave with enough to feed your family for a couple of days!

It's very close to home. Always clean, love the prices and the seasonal changes, but please stop having the employees say ' welcome to dollar general' every time the door opens, maybe it's just the wind...lol

Dollar general is my go to place for low prices and friendly staff ! They are always polite friendly and helpfull ! Store is clean and well stocked ! They have some reasonable prices $125 for a loaf of 100% whole wheat bread !
