UPDATE: 1-16-21 Stopped into the "99 cents Only" in Yucca Valley recently and found the store and staff to be covid safe and social distancing being advised .The store is really clean. I really like this store. The only problem is lately a lot of shelves are empty and some of the newer staff are a bit rude as compared to the regulars.

Keep an eye on what is being rung up because once you pay and realize they charged you $5 for an off brand 1/2 cup of ice cream, you won’t get money back. Instead you will have to find items to equal $5. Often items are shelved in the wrong place. So if you think you’re buying a 99 cent item, you’re not. At least 20% of my receipt had items priced much higher than priced on the shelf. There are a few things I’ll still go there to buy but if I want consistent pricing for a discount store, I’ll shop at the Dollar Store.

I've only been here twice. But unexpectedly, both times, I had very nice interactions with the Staff. Its a calm, clean and pleasant store. With the usual bargains.

I love this place every time I go there it's a very neat place to go to 99 cent store in yucca Valley I always get excited to go there cuz I have so many things that you could choose from on every aisle Dollar tree can't keep up with 99 cent store Dollar general because this place has everything that you need from q-tips to lingerie tutu socks to boxers to a few just need a cold drink and the people are so friendly they would love to just get you in and get you out

Nothing fancy, obviously considering the name, but I shop here for their veggies. Prices have gone up from 99c but that's Bidenflation for you, we get what we vote for so choose wisely.Seems like they stock for the weekend, so Fri, Sat, and Sun have the best selections.

Love this store!!! Can't believe the deals I get there. It's my first stop on the way to WallyWorld. Salad mixes, all kinds of fresh veggies, great selection of canned goods, spices, munchies, and the folks working there are just the greatest.

They always have a long line with one cashier. Two employees were walking around getting shopping carts and a manager was telling the cashier how to do something because the line was so long, then she walked away and didn't get on a register.No such thing as customer service.

I always like this place. Lots of goodies to be had here. Not everything is 99 anymore but still good value on everything. This is one of the only places left where ramen is still less than a buck as opposed to 1.25. Overall its well worth it.

I bought a pair of headphones at this place I went to take the headphones back the very next day because they didn't work, I told them they didn't work and the rest of them didn't work either, they wouldn't give me my money back, they wanted to give me a gift card so I can come back to the store and continue spending my money in there store instead of allowing me to make the choice with my own money so i could buy a set some place else. I told them this was unacceptable, and if they're going to sell defective products that means there deceiving the public and I would take my complaint to the attorney general's office and let them know exactly how they're operating.

Two months ago I left a 5-star review for this store as of today I have to change that the near criminal activities the store commits on its customers they miss marked mislabeled overcharge and while you're still standing in line there tell you you can't get a refund and less it's for store credit today March 8th 2023 was overcharged $24 for items that were Marked🖕 99 told all I could get was store credit for them overcharging me I asked where that policy was posted at she says it's on the receipt now how can you do business if the customer doesn't know what the rules are until you are fully involved with I will never be back ever again if I could leave zero stars or minus Stars I would remember the old bait-and-switch this place is very unscrupulous to the point of being criminal the owner has to be scum🖕🖕🖕🖕💩

Went up to cash register, with my items, on the shelf, they were priced •99 cents! They rang up 1.49, I brought it to the attention of the cashier, she was very nice, she asked "Sarah" what she should do, she had her delete my items! Then tells me she's only limiting "5"! I had ten, their was no sign of any limit! It's not essential items that are listed! She went and saw for herself, that they were .99 cents..false advertising at it's finest! I told her other people were buying way more than 5! She was rude never made eye contact, just ignored me, when I asked for their corporate number! Then her just as rude manager Jeri didn't even know their corporate number???? Then rudely googled it! Very unprofessional! I've shopped here every week, these two need customer relations skills! Called corporate, they said their not even supposed to put stuff out with out pricing correctly! To add insult to injury, they didn't even put the 5 back in the bag! Just 3, I called her when I got home, of course no knowledge of that, and they mysteriously disappeared! They were in the go backs! Never shopping here again!

I HATE that the name is still 99 cent Only Store, as the base price is 99.9 cents and so much of the merchandise costs several dollars. I boycotted the store for the first year because of this "false advertising", and it's why I deducted a star. That aside, however, the place has some wonderful deals on products I enjoy such as decorative solar lights, protective face masks and seasonal items. Best is that they carry fresh produce, and sometimes have interesting fruits and vegetables I haven't seen in grocery stores. This has been the best store in the area for sanitation during the Corona Virus. There's a staff member sanitizing every cart and ensuring that customers take a clean one, as well as hand sanitizer at the door. It's now a few-times-a-week shopping destination.

Store and parking lot are clean. Store staff are always friendly. Prices are good and they have a decent selection of items to choose from. I think it's the best of the 'dollar' type stores in Yucca Valley.

everyone in the store is awesome ,polite ,nice ,kind , and courteous. But people from local restaurants and other shopping places come in there and they buy bulk food items, and what are you supposed to do as a small customer. I was in the 99cents only store in yuca valley.i was trying to get mangoes and there was a guy with a shopping cart with all the fresh mangoes piled in his cart as well as 3 cases of all the frozen mangoes from the freezer, This is not Costco for restaurants, it's for families trying to make it.

99 has a diverse selection of small size produce that is discount priced. I believe that people here are happier than any other grocery store. A common line, "Please go ahead. You have only a few items.". A rare line at Costco or Walmart.
