I love these guys! Very hard-working and knowledgeable and polite! Great supply of feed for wild and domestic animals, very competitive prices. They have some other items such as balm and pig ears and hay hooks, feeders etc. They carry the bags out to your car! Very friendly, and they speak english and spanish.

The prices are reasonable, the hay quality varies.Customer service matters, and that is why I keep reducing my rating of this place. For context, my family ranch purchases hay almost exclusively from these folks. We spent over $16,000 here last year. We are here multiple times per week. I am not someone who had one bad experience and left a bad review.I am consistantly disappointed with the service here. Before our family friend passed away in the early 2000s, we got hay from him, and I loaded and hauled the hay. I know how to load hay. I know how much work it is, but I also know that it's not the worst job I have ever had. I wish I could load my own hay here.I always get the impression from these men that it's a terrible inconvenience taking my order and loading my hay. They frequently talk on the phone while loading the hay. They won't be on the phone when I pay for it, but somehow something desperately important comes up between paying and backing into position, so they have to make a call and load with their phone presses between their shoulder and their ear. At first I was impressed they could load at all like that, but after a few years, it just seems rude and sloppy. It also seems rude to drop the bales into the trucks. I was taught to ease the in for the customers. I was a 5' 4" teenager. If I could do it, these grown men should be able to. They just don't care.Today, we drove two trucks on a 90 minute round trip to pick up $462 worth of hay from them. We witnessed a car accident and stopped to ask the guy if he was okay. We tried to call to make sure they would still be open, but they didn't answer. We got there at 5:00. Right at 5:00. They sent us away. They know how far we drive. They know how much we spend. They know we buried my Grandma last week. They just don't care.I like to shop small and locally because I tell myself I am supporting real people. But these guys have reminded me that small businesses don't inherently have to care. Being a small business doesn't mean your employees are caring people.
