Animals kept in horrendous conditions :( over stocked aquariums and terrapin tanks, reptile tanks filled with uneaten live food and co habbed, small animals in tiny cages...would not recommend

Would have been 5 if they honored their pricing. There was a sign that said buy one get one half off and the cashier went to check and said “it expired” and took the sign down. Would have been the polite thing to honor the price :)

FANTASTIC Customer Service from everyone 👏 there. This is important to me, especially these days!Excellent variety of products for dogs and not all products are expensive, but all products seem to be of a good quality.I've been looking and looking for a decent "Dog, Water 💧 Bowl" to put on the inside, of a dog's crate and finally found an excellent aluminum one. You can attach it to the inside of the crate, with the screws and clip it comes with. There are also different sizes of the same.I think it was about $13 or so dollars and is well made.They seem to have a good and large inventory of dog-related products.

This Petco has always been great for me. Very nice helpful staff and Petco's name brand, dog food is fairly priced. My only customer suggestion would be that corporate figure out how to keep shopping carts in the store. Carrying 45 pounds bags to the counter isn't an experience I want to go through each time at this store location.

I shop at this Petco location very often as I live nearby and have never experienced such a bad experience as I did today.I came in to the store 11/18 at around 8:45pm with an unopened bag of dry food that I had ordered earlier in the day through Instacart (the purchase was also linked to my Petco loyalty account). I explained the situation to the friendly lady, who had also greeted me when I came in, and explained that I needed to exchange the unopened bag for another one of higher price, she then asked me to select and grab the item that I wanted.After a couple minutes, I come back with the bag that I wanted to process the exchange for (which costed over $85). She pulled up my account and before completing the exchange, she needed the manager to override the exchange.This when Andre, the “manager”, comes in and without even saying hello, states that he won’t do the return because my proof of purchase is not valid “I am literally showing them the order confirmation and details from my phone”. I tried to explain the situation and reason with him, knowing that he can do the override and stop arguing, but instead he chose to go off to his employee (in front of me) trying to make her look like she doesn’t know what she is doing which really made her feel uncomfortable (I could tell by her face).If this is how Andre, this pseudo manager, treats her employees in front of customers I don’t even want to imagine how he treats them when nobody is looking…Awful customer service, manners and work ethics. I hope this person is investigated and made accountable for his behavior.I will definitely not be bringing my business to this or any Petco locations anymore.

I was looking for something for my pooches, a treat, something special. I hadn't been in the store for a while so I walked around to find my kids treasure. I looked and was amazed at how many "healthy type treats" there are today. I finally chose one and they loved it, they may turn up their noses to dinner but treats are gold to them. Woof

I came in to buy a 40gal breeder but decided on a 55. Someone initially helped me find the tanks but when I needed help moving it (I’m tiny!) nobody was to be found. I’ve bought a 75 gal previously during this same sale and the cashier set me up w the vital plus plan for even more savings and I loved it. This cashier was horribly unhelpful and not friendly whatsoever watching me physically struggle w this tank while I was the only customer in the store and didn’t help me save or help me enroll again.

We went here for the regular rabies vaccine. The service was amazing!!! Everyone was really nice and attentive to us. They did a physical exam first and then performed the vaccination. It was perfect! The staff was so sweet to my cat and very professional! Everything was fast, I don't think my cat even realized that anything has happened. After the vaccine they provided us with the a list of possible complications and the vet clinics we could go to just in case. They also gave us a little bell for the color indicating that the cat was vaccinated. It's been 2 days and my cat is feeling well, no complications.Big thanks again! I really loved it and my cat did as well and would recommended it anyone to vaccine their pet here!

Petco has a lot of supplies we need to keep our doggies healthy. Both our dogs had issues with excess acid production that caused them distress to the point of effecting their appetite, causing them to throw up bile or the recently consumed meal.On the advice of our Vet we modified their diet to include a low fat gastrointestinal product by Royal Canine and suggested we break up their feeding schedule so they eat smaller meals more frequently. The combination has made a huge difference in them both! Healthy, weight control is great, and the smaller guy went from picky to voracious. Wow!Petco has played a major role in maintaining this regimen by making available foods that we used to have to buy over the Internet and now can find at our local Petco!

Everybody always giving you fully attention. Kind, sweet, and very professional. They took excellent care of my puppy and thanks to them, (when I took her for her first bath) she's not scared of blowdryers anymore.

Nice location has been serving the West Valley for years. They have a good selection of aquarium products and they carry blood worms. On the weekends they also have cats available for adoption, which is pretty cool.

My Fiancé made a quick stop to the petco we go to all the time to buy our dog food, but today Jannina the "manager" was not very helpful or understanding let alone attentive. I called the store and spoke to her directly and she was straight to the defense mode, and that's not how you handle a stressful situation. You should have more compassion. Our dog was simply scared not being aggressive, and most of the time she is all bark. She's a puppy.. we definitely don't condone our dogs to lunge at other dogs.

We got our granddaughter’s first fish tank and a beautiful blue betta! The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a great selection of dozens of bettas!

You need to be careful about choosing the tanks you buy fish from here.. there were 2 tanks of guppies one had a dead fish . So any dead fish is a indication that health of fish in the tank is not good or in case of guppies it is old

Petco near Topanga and on Ventura Blvd. the Ralph's super market is clean and have a variety of goods for your pets. Staff is professional, and hospitable, and are willing to answer your questions or find another staff to help. Also, having your receipt of purchase but need to return for refund without damage of product edible or a non-edible is without hassle; of course within time limit. There is reconstruction on the face of the bldg. and stores within the same shopping center so please be careful with parking. Enjoy

I highly recommend this grooming salon. I always receive great service and my pets are treated very well. Lucinda has been grooming my Pomeranians for over 10 years and I can’t say enough good things about her. So happy to have found her!

I stopped by this Petco location about 10 min before they closed as my turtle needed some feeder fish to feast on. I searched for 5 minutes in the aquarium section for someone to help me when i heard the announcement that they will close in 5 min. I go up to the cashier and ask for help. She says they are closing but at my insistence she gets the attention of a co-worker who was headed for the doors to leave. She says sorry I just closed that department. I ask if she could just grab a dozen feeder fish so my turtle can eat during this long weekend... without blinking an eye she said sorry we are closed. Mind you, it is still 4 min to closing time as I walked out of there totally disappointed.My turtle did not go hungry that long holiday weekend but Petco definitely lost a customer as this was not the first instance where the employees displayed proudly their lack of customer service skills and a total disregard for the integrity and the reputation of the store they work for. I would recommend any other Petco location or any pet store other than this one.

Went in to get a hamster and all the equipment that come with a hamster. Staff were super helpful and polite.Update - beware if you sign up for Vital Care, you are committed for the year! I was told it was monthly I can cancel anytime when joining.

I go to this store for everything for my pets. The manager, Amber, who was there today around 3pm is the most unprofessional, unfriendly and unpleasant person I've ever experienced at any Petco location. I will not go to this location and I live around the corner . I do not recommend this location.

Marcel, that works for the cat adoption, is crazy. She kept cussing and saying my parents should be ashamed and all that crazy stuff. Shame on her, I was about to adopt a kitten, and I guess it was not meant to be because she ruined that for me. To Marcel: Be kind to people and inform them about everything. Don't cuss and be unprofessional because a kitten could've been adopted, but you prevented it from happening.

The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Your stock is usually pretty well filled up. Occasionally what I need isn't there. But overall, happy with the store. We always get our rescue cats with you as well. And they have been great animals, very healthy and great additions to our home.

I have never waited in line as long as I did at this location. It took the cashier 10 min to call for backup and then almost another 10 waiting for them to get to the registers.I work retail and sadly they missed the mark. One good note the guy who finally helped me actually asked me about my fur babies and what I was buying for them. He made me forget for a second how frustrating it was watching the one cashier for almost 20 min take care of 2 people
