Animalia stands out from the rest. Over the years I have gone to many pet stores, groomers and boarding facilities. Some of them very upscale. I can say with absolute conviction that Jackie stands out and is the best of the best. I do not even live anywhere near her business since it moved, but I chose to make the trip to get the care and authentic service that Jackie graciously provides to her customers and their pets. She is kind and will go above and beyond to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. I have a senior dog that requires a delicate approach and this is the only place I trust. Jackie generously shares her vast knowledge with her clientele and she treats your pet as if it is as important as her own. A true gem of a business!!

Best place ive boarded my dogs in all of Los Angeles. Not only were they attentive, followed all my instructions, and incredibly kind, but its clear the people working there do so because they genuinely love dogs. My two boys were there for a week over thanksgiving and when i came back they were so happy and energetic and clearly had a wonderful time. The staff updated me on all their shenanigans, and were also very communicative when i called for updates. Amazing care, amazing staff, will be bringing my dogs here exclusively for the foreseeable future.

My dog is super nervous when he gets groomed and nail clipping. So I'm always anxious when I take him places, but I didn't feel that way here. First making the appointment I was treated so nicely by Marianna. She was lovely and listened to me when explaining my pups situation. The groom did take a few hours but the way he turned out was well worth it! He also didn't come home scared as he usually does when groomed. So happy I found this place and will continue to bring him all the time. Animalia is also a pet store so I was able to pick up food for him all at the same time. Truly is a lovely and caring one stop shop!

Avoid this place at all cost!!! There are better pet and grooming services in the NoHo/Los Angeles area.My dog is a pandemic puppy and suffers with separation anxiety. This is the only place that has literally shamed us for it and also shamed us on the type of food we give our dog (mind you it's a highly rated pet food product, but for some reason the lady at the front desk thought she needed to shame us for it and push the products they sell). Other facilities love our dog and have given us HELPFUL tips and tricks for his separation anxiety, but this place thought it best to sham and embarrass us on how we're have chosen to care for our dog. It broke my heart to see how my dog was treated and talked about as well as the way they treated my boyfriend when he came to pick him. My dog and my family deserve better. NEVER AGAIN!Update: the owner would rather throw out wild accusations then own or take responsibility for her actions and how she makes pet owners feel. SMH... this place and it's owner is a joke. Unless you want to be ridiculed and judged, please go elsewhere my fellow pet lovers!

I LOVE this place! I was so impressed by the owner Jacqui and her knowledge and love for animals. She is totally holistic, really knows her stuff and is so compassionate and passionate about what she does. An animals nutrition is everything for her. It’s inspiring to be around people who really love what they do and know that you will be getting great treatment. I can’t wait for my dog to have a teeth cleaning and spa bath! We bought the homemade pork treats with blueberries and my dog is obsessed. He also loves the chicken with apple sauce and coconut. So innovative! I’m happy I’m stumbled upon this place :) so was my dog.

I’m so happy I found this shop! Jackie is always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She happily answers all of my questions (until I run out of questions!). She cares about the health of my dog and has a natural, healthy approach to dog care, grooming and diet. The shop is always clean, tidy and has just what I need to care for my yorkie!

This is a cute little groomer/pet boutique! I called in the morning to see if they can squeeze me in for a nail trim for my anxious little pom/Frenchie boy. I arrived and was greeted promptly and warmly. They took extra care trimmingy boys nails as he can be a handful. She explained the process to me me thoroughly and I am super happy with the result. Whenever I am ever in the neighborhood with my pup, I will visit again and again. Thank you!!

This place is wonderful! I brought my Shih Poo here for grooming and she hasn’t looked this great since she was a puppy! Not only that, she was so happy and calm when I picked her up. I could tell immediately that she was in good hands. Jacqui is so nice and warm. Everything there is A+ quality. I’m not going anywhere else for pet supplies or grooming from now on.

The owner of the store is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people I have ever met about pet care for my best friend. She is always there with a warm smile, great knowledge and a true passion for animals. She is the perfect example of what a small business who is taking on the "big box" stores should be. My Boyfriend and I came to Jacqui, the owner of Animalia, in desperation after finding out our 4 year old pug/chihuahua had been suffering from kidney failure due to massive kidney stones. The only option the horrible vet gave us was to perform an expensive surgery. We were ecstatic to hear Animalia NoHo was a holistic pet nutrition store so we had to make the drive to see what it was all about.What we came to learn from Jacqui was because we were cooking our dogs food for 3 years, is the reason why her system got gunked up. We thought we were giving her the best nutrition by cooking brown rice, chicken, peas, spinach and carrots. Not so much the case. Cooking her food was taking out any of the nutrition for her body to absorb. And using brown rice as a filler wasnt so great.SO our dog has been switched to an all raw diet. We purchase raw green tripe from Jacqui at Animalia. As well as an all natural kidney stone breaker supplements. After 3 months of working with Jacqui our dogs kidney failure symptoms disappeared and after getting x-rays done her kidney stones were shrinking!Bottom line, Jacqui does an extensive amount of research and is extremely knowledgeable. She really cares for your pet and will listen to all of your concerns. Her heart truly breaks for an animal who is suffering. She's not your typical store owner who is trying to make a sale. I see Jacqui every two weeks and we always end up talking for an hour before she realizes I need to buy more food for my pup! Jacqui has become a genuine person who I deeply value and respect. If you truly love your pet and see them as one of your children, do yourself a favor and take them to see Jacqui. Even just a consultation can open your eyes to extending your fur baby's life. Also, a holistic nutritious life for your pet is NOT as expensive as you might think it is. We've actually saved a lot of money

My experience was great. I’ve switched to a recommended dog food and my dog is doing so much better. I’ve already recommended two other families to bring their dogs. The owner is very kind and attentive. It’s a little far for me, but I will definitely go back.

My Shih Tzu Mischu was extremely sick with a yeast infection, from years of following a traditional dog diet. He was in very bad shape, and our lifelong veterinarian was unable to do anything to stop - let alone reverse the damage. The yeast took over his entire body, literally coming out of every pore on his body. He was absolutely miserable. Enter Jacqui and Animalia! She understood right away what was ailing Mischu and gave him a whole new diet to follow and special deep-cleaning baths to heal his skin. I won't lie, it took some time...but it worked! Mischu is a happy 12 year-old puppy again, with a healthy coat of hair that's entirely yeast-free! Every time I bring him in, he gets super excited to see the person responsible for his amazing turnaround. I highly recommend Animalia to every pet owner. If I could give them SIX stars, I would - thank you Jacqui and everyone at Animalia for saving Mischu's life!!

Wonderful experience and service. All the employees were very helpful and caring. I love they only sell all natural products for dogs and cats. My dog is always happy here, when she is at doggie daycare she never wants to leave. They even gave her a free bath for her first week. I highly recommend this store.

We need more people in the world like Jackie. She really opened my eyes while I was in the store about dog food and treats. She only carries food that is natural and healthy in the store. At first it seems like just a small store, but she doesn't carry ANYTHING that is harmful for your pet. Being an American I get how people think more is more, but it isn't. Less is more in this store because it is everything you NEED for your pets health from someone who is not only knowledgable, but caring. We started talking a little bit about my pup and how she is suffering from anxiety since we moved cross-country. She gave me a therapeutic sample to try for her. This woman is above and beyond. I will no longer be buying from Petco. She has brought back a faith in humanity by opening this store and I will continue to support her.
