Took our pup there for a quick exam for a possible skin issue. Staff was very friendly and very efficient. Our Dr was very nice and took the time to examine and inspect our little guy, we discussed past issues and any concerns... Very accommodating. This may very well become our regular vet office. Looking forward to our next visit.

Had an emergency with my pup who was coughing. Dr Allen and her team were incredible! They got me in same day! Had the prescription she needed within the hour! She was loved on and cared for the moment I walked in. I have another appt Monday for her annual shots and I know it’s going to be an amazing experience! I’d give em 15 stars if I could!!

I love this veterinary practice so much. I originally landed here because my dog was in serious condition and his old vet told us the next available appt was in 3 months 🙃 I was calling around in a panic to find someone who could see him sooner and VCA Oakwood took me same day. They took his case seriously and navigated us through a bunch of diagnostic processes before eventually referring us out to a specialist for further treatment. I am still so grateful they fit us in and now that we’re going to them just for general physical checkups I still appreciate them. Everyone here is very nice.The only thing I will say is that if you have a dog who is reactive or not good with cats, the waiting room is very small and there are two office cats, so it can be hard to navigate. I just ask them if my dog can stay in the car until there’s a room available and that works well for us.

Amazing! I could not recommend a better Vet than VCA Oakwood in Woodbridge. The staff there are incredibly accommodating, kind, considerate, empathetic, and most of all great with your fur babies. They have seen us on short notice twice for cats that had gotten bit and once for a sick kitten, in addition to regular appointments. But what impressed me most of all was when we recently had to say goodbye to one of our dogs and several days later we received a sympathy card in the mail with condolences written by each individual of the staff. I'm not ashamed to say that I was so touched that I cried. They've more than earned the business that we can provide them with the small zoo we possess. ♥️

Took my 2 babies in today to Dr. Allen. Mochi (the floofy one at 3yrs) just had shots updated. Jazi (the colourful one at 14yrs) was the main concern as she's been having some health issues. Dr. Allen was super helpful and informative on what could be going on. Thank you!

Been to a few vets but this one by far is the best! They take the time to get to know your dog and are very gentle. They actually care and do several follow up phone calls to check on your pets.

I used to only come to VCA because I thought it was the best place for my pets but my recent experience proves that’s not the case. I came late to my appointment so I am to blame but when I asked a question the receptionist answered rudely. I let her know I was just wondering but that I understood how it was my fault. I proceeded to cancel my next appointment through the app and leave as I work two full-time jobs and prefer to bring my dogs at the same time. She then called me after to ask if I was still there I told her I cancelled through the app and and she proceeded to tell me those appointments could’ve been for an emergency and I know she did it to be rude. The reason I know is that I have called during emergencies for my dogs and was told they couldn’t see my dogs until three weeks and that to me doesn’t seem like a reasonable waiting period for an EMERGENCY. We should all learn to be professional.

Have you ever met a dog that LOVES going to the vet!?!? Well my dog is that dog and for good reason. ALL the staff from the front desk ladies, the boarding ladies, to the techs, to the veterinarians all show my baby girl the most love from the moment we walk in the door. Every time we come to Oakwood Vet she is greeted with lots of pets and love and “Beckman’s!!!!!” Not to mention top notch care and understanding from Dr Allan and Dr Lindsay for Beck and her protective mama. Thank you for treating us like family!

We found a stray dog and took him to this vet, they were really helpful. They wanded him for a chip and contacted his owner. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. I really liked the way they handled the pets that came in.

My cat had been a patient with VCA Oakwood Hospital for 11 plus years. She was always treated with kindness and expert treatment. The Vet's there are out of this world they are so understanding and made me feel that they truly cared about my cat. The entire staff is exceptional and caring.This facility will be my Vet of choice for any animal I have.Truly an amazing facility from minor issues to major issues.I highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs animal care and/or is looking for a new Vet.

I have been working here for about 4-5 years. I highly recommend clients to take their pets here! All of our staff and doctors treat your pet just how you would want to be treated we're kind loving nurturing and make sure that we do the best for your pet, rather if it's in your budget or not we just want you and your pets to be safe and healthy I can personally say that our staff goes above and beyond for each patient that comes through our door every day I love working here! The vets and staff here are so nice and three vets know what they are doing and actually care about each animal they see. when my daughter's cat got all of a sudden really sick they tested and did everything they could to help him. I know Dr. Alan and Dr. O spent a lot of personal time trying to figure out what was wrong with him because they cared. When he passed away they sent us a card that they all signed and commented on. It was a very a thoughtful card of condolences for us. We still take our other kitties there and they treat them So well and still remember our cat who passed away and are very sensitive to talking about him around my daughter. Love this place!!!

I read a ton of reviews to try and find a good vet but they vary wildly and not always based on honest reality. I found VCA Oakwood a very caring place. They have certain efficient policies in place to minimize expense and time. HOWEVER, if you are new and request you can accompany your fur babie for treatment. Also, if you request a specific technician that suits your personality they are very accommodating without any drama. I brought our puppy in and they had the coolest "package" which covered everything for the 1st year for a small monthly fee. Neuter, shots, exams and more. I felt very good and positive about bringing in my 14 year old for a check. They aren't money hungry and they have a great balance of pet care with your budget needs and are flexible. They give you options of what can be done. You decide. Bear and Daisy love 'em!

This VCA animal hospital has veterinary doctors and techs I can respect and a staff that is courteous and cheerful. They handle all kinds of animals. They offer prescription food, oravet dental hygiene chews for dog and the best candles for pet odors I have ever come across. Seriously, you need to try the candles even if you don't own pets! Update: staff has changed and candle selection is limited. Hours are limited and appointment time was a big slag. 25 minutes after appointment time before we we're admitted. Comunication between back and front office was poor with no purpose to clear line of communication and expedance of back log of cases. We we're told to wait in exam room for supplies. Two minutes later someone else ask us to leave to front of the office. They must have more appointments than they care to give personal care too. Fifteen minutes later we pay our bills and try to get out but the one open exit is blocked by staff and inconsiderate pet owners. Needs to improve the process to get my five stars back.

I went to a vet appointment here with my mom the other day, and unfortunately I can't remember the Dr's name... However, we were SO impressed!!! The attentiveness and positive attitude of the entire staff!! The Dr. came in and crawled right on the floor with my mom's dog, who is normally very anxious at the vet, and stand-offish with new people, especially men; but within 5 minutes she was laying in his lap, like they were old buddies! My mom & I both HIGHLY recommend this vet! Cost wise, they offer you FULL SERVICE up front with all the bells & whistles for treatment... If that doesn't fit your budget, they will happily whittle it down to a plan that fits your budget, and covers the basic need of your pet.

Dr. Allan is wonderful! She treated my pit bull with love and care. She wasn't afraid of him at all even though his breed doesn't have the best reputation. Saw Dr. Lindsey for the recheck and he got down on the floor and was very caring.

The STAFF there is friendly but the doctor himself is not he’s just trying to earn money. I took my dog there because she hadn’t been eating for the the past three days and didn’t know what was going on with her we spent around 3 hours there and all the doctor said was that she needed surgery and there was nothing else he could do besides the surgery keep in mind that the surgery would be like 3000 dollars, I was devastated and wanted to help my dog but I didn’t want to pay that much money he said she had at least 3 days the minimum or else she was going to die. I took her home leaving that place crying the next day my dad took her to another vet and that vet actually gave her medicine so that she could get better and said that they shouldn’t have said to do the surgery because that could’ve made her a lot weaker we kept giving her the medicine and prayed everyday until she stated to get better and better this happened like 4 months ago right know she’s the most happy and healthy dog thanks to the medicine I would want to give this vet a zero but the staff there made it count as a one
