This is a great fit for riders and horses of any kind. You can be English, Western, Dressage, Barrel, Jumper or just go on the many trails surrounding the beautiful redwoods throughout. For convenience, there's a country store across the street, stays stocked with carrots, apples and treats for the horses. A US post office is next door. The owner is delightful and gives back to the community for good causes. It's a huge place with 3 arenas and a hunter course. This establishment dates back generations and generations too come. I highly recommend this ranch.

I take lessons here and I absolutely love this ranch!! The instructors here care about your safety and the horses safety!! Everyone at this ranch is super kind!! The horses are very well trained!! This ranch definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

Like a second home to me - very friendly owner- grace- and the trainers are all knowledgeable and approachable! Which are super important to me- the boarders are all kind and I thoroughly enjoy the amenities that Dickson has to offer! Cross country track- large arena and indoor !

My daughters been riding here for almost 1.5 years. She also does the summer camps. The sisters who run it are thorough and take riding very seriously but allow for a more casual feel to their lessons. Kids do start to finish grooming and preparing the horse for the lesson and un tacking, cleaning putting horse back in those stalls. My daughters learned so much and really only wants to ride and be there as much as she can.

I have not been here for quite some time But I knew Grace and Chuck the owners..I grew up on the ranch .. I worked for lesson "s after school I would go out get schooling horses and clean them up saddle and bridle,then I would get my horse out and do the same also helped feed the ranch and mom helped me with boarding..The best time of my life was on Dickson Ranch.I learned how to work hard for what I wanted ..Gave my values and I was apart of the family there .The best of times..Thank you Gracie and Chuck ❤️❤️

I don't actually ride horses, but my friend boards her horse at Dickson and she's quite happy. The ranch is family owned, and everyone is super friendly and hard working. They do a summer riding program for kids and they participate in (and sometimes sponsor) many community events and fundraisers.

My home away from home. "Dickson" has been around for a very long time hence the good reviews. They do not rent horses or have trail rides. If you own a horse, then you're in luck, if they have room. Pretty reasonably priced, board did go up $30 this month, (May 2019), and did increase a couple of times within the two year period but, never the less, it's still reasonable for this area. The surrounding trails are very nice, with 3 areas, English and Western welcome. I'm happy to be there.

Dickson Ranch is a staple of the Woodacre Community and surrounding areas. It is family owned and operated, being in existence since the 1800's. They also give back to the community, especially the kids, with volunteer work. I've boarded my horse there going on 7 years, and the board is reasonable. Unlike some other stables in the area, Dickson has acreage and trails on their property. Many arenas to choose from both English and Western. Dickson does hold horse shows but usually there is a waiting list, I had to wait a year or so.

This is a real working horse ranch and not a stuffy equestrian center. Slow down, walk around, and be respectful of the animals and trainers. It's been a great place for my kids to get started riding.

Not being a horsey person, I can't comment on their equestrian services, but only on their faires, which they hold 1-2 times/year, and are always worth stopping in for look-see. Great place to bring kids.
