Disgusting, place should be shut down, the owner needs to be shut downfor continuing to sell rotten food..there needs to be another grocery store in town so this store can’t keep getting away with this, Lorenzo’s will be out of business fast ..Ribs slimey rotten and smell like all their meat coolers, will be reporting this to the health departmentThis review keeps getting taken down this is the 3rd time putting it back up and I will keep posting it every time Lorenzo pays to remove it..I hope everyone starts posting pictures of their rotten food they buy there…These ribs are right out of the bag 3 minutes after I bought them…Guess what everyone that goes to the deli is eating.. rotten food they cook and serve at their deli instead of throwing it out …

This is a really nice little town old school grocery store & market. They have a good selection of most anything you might need or want and friendly service too 👍👍

I’m not gonna talk about the expense… But almost everything they have produce and meat wise either expires that day or has expired a couple days before. Their meat department is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. They sell T-bones, but they cut the fillet side off. So you have the bone that’s in a T and a New York strip. It is not a T-bone steak. It is priced by weight so you have this massive bone on the New York strip. I asked the meat department if they had a T-bone, a real one. The man behind the counter didn’t realize T-bones had a New York strip and a fillet and that’s what a T-bone is. He checked to see if they had any T-bones that the fillet side wasn’t cut out and they don’t carry them. They also don’t sell fillets. Most everybody is now shopping across the street at the dollar store because they are now selling groceries at a decent price and better looking produce . I wish I could speak highly of them but other stores look better, are cheaper, better selection, you actually get what you’re paying for and is not expired. Staff is super nice. They are the reason that I gave three stars.

We used to shop here all the time. Before we moved to Idaho 2 years ago. We're visiting Winters and decided to go into Lorenzo's to get some hot food at the deli. The guy that dressed like a girl had two white masks on and some rubber gloves and was sweeping the floor and stopped what he was doing was going to serve us food with the filthy rubber gloves he or she had on his hands. What happened to Winters? We were told to go to Chevron to get hot food that it's really good the gas station Chevron

My husband and I went shopping for a nice bottle of wine for a friend's birthday party. We were pleasantly surprised when we went into the wine selection and saw hundreds of fantastic wines at low prices. Would definitely recommend a friend stopping in there for a great selection of wine.Thank you Lorenzo's Market!!

They have a decent selection prices are a little high but the real problem is Alot of there food is old. Rotten produce old meat old deli food and owner doesn't care. We avoid this store as much as possible and would rather drive 40 min to Vacaville or do with out.Always check food dates here cant tell you how many times the food was expired by over a yearAlso be very careful with the meats. They often retag over original date changing it even though its old

Cute upscale market but not pretentious. Not huge by any means, but perfect if you're not searching for certain obscure brands. Deli is great, nice selection. Cheese selection is large & bakery offerings is huge. Perfect place to stop and load up on picnic supplies on your way to Lake Berryessa. Clean and staff was exceptionally polite.

Service honestly depends on who you get helping you. Some are great, some are worthless and not sure how they have a job. It's definitely convenient if you are in winters, they have a decent produce selection, a great deli and meat department; and since its a local family owned business the prices tend to be sky high. I still go, but wish there was a way to bring those prices down since i end up having to go out of town!

Good little market. I like to shop here but have to check the prices & dates on everything! Last time I shopped there the cashier had to run & do 3 price checks on items that were a different price on the tag then what came up on the register. That's frustrating! If I wasn't watching I would have paid over $7 more for the 3 items! You just need to be aware of the prices so you don't get overcharged. Also the dates on the bread could be out of date so be sure to check that. They just got a new Asian line of food which is nice to have a variety but it all comes from China. I wouldn't buy any food from China. Check the labels of your food! They do have a nice variety of organic vegetables, cheeses & local honey. Prices are a little steep so I would just get some things you are out of not a whole shopping trip. I have also bought bread here before one time it was $3.99 3 days later it was $4.99 & I was told they never change their prices. Must have been $1 more because it had just come out of the oven? When it said on the package it was baked in San Francisco. Customer service is always good, no issues there.

Nice to see the transition to better quality food and more locally grown/businesses represented. Fresh bread daily, good deli chicken/sandwiches. More organic (the veggies are a bit sad sometimes, but a step in the right direction!).The dairy - something doesn't work well there. We don't buy milk there the past few months as it seems to go bad within a couple of days.

They have an awesome selection of local craft beers as well as domestics. We usually stop here on our way to the lake to get some ice or some snacks. It's just a good old fashioned family country market. The drinks are cold, the ice is frozen and the people are pretty cool too

I shop here for minimal things because its really a hit or miss when it comes to produce and meat . I grabbed ground beef and it stayed red for a little less than a day. This is the second time its happened to me and the first I just let it go. But maybe some quality control is needed badly. Aged meat is enjoyable, but usually ground beef tends to look red. It set to expire tomorrow so I chose to feed it to my dog, hes got a stronger stomach and he couldn't possibly drive me to a hospital, if it were to be spoiled earlier than Lorenzo's time stamp.

I used to LOVE this store. I've been going there since 2003.But today I was shocked to be confronted by an employee who told my child and myself to lift our masks above our noses.I told them we can't breathe like that. The person didn't seem to care. Why are these stores and employees giving medical advice?Mandates aren't laws.Viruses go right through masks. Everyone who wore a mask in the 1918 Spanish flu got bacterial pneumonia. Even Fauci confirmed this..Masks are just a symbol of authority.Sorry to say, but I can't in good conscience support a store that treats mask mandates like laws.

Overall it is good store. A lot of items for sale. Good staff inside. Just one girl at checkout ruined my experience from the store.

The butcher on Friday early afternoon was super helpful. He proactively asked us if he could help us with the meat. He suggested some rubs and sauces. And then even put it on for us. We cooked the steaks the same night and the seasoning was perfect. No sauce needed. Yum! Thank you!

Where to begin?? This small town store jacks up the prices on everything. They get most of their stuff from Sam's club then mark it way up. Produce is iffy most times. Deli needs new staff they can't keep on putting out burnt chicken strips and expecting the consumer to eat it. Got raw potato salad one time. Oh make sure you get your meat sliced fresh for the deli sandwiches you don't know how long the meat that they try to use has been sitting in the cold bar/case all rolled up weighed and put on your sandwich. Check everything for expired food. Owner John can get a grant to get new refrigerators but is too cheap to get the deli a new fryer. Yes that's what it needs. You can't keep on fixing it and it keep breaking then using it till it breaks again and it goes on. Do not shop there drive them out of business so we can get a Safeway or Trader Joe's

My experience was poor. When I was there on separate occasions there was no 2% or whole milk plain yogurt or plain greek yogurt, no bell peppers, no frozen peas, and no size 4 coffee filters. Keep in mind this is the only store in Winters so people are out of luck when they are out of something. I purchased a rotten onion and there was only one bunch of green onions left on a Monday. There is a sign outside that says "Our Clean Store Starts Here." Is this a joke? Because the outside pavement and front of the store is in need of a serious clean up and hose down. The kids who work there, probably for minimum wage, are very kind and solicitous but they are not professional managers of the the various departments so it is really hit and miss. I asked one of them for the gourmet tortillas and they did not know what I was talking about. It turned out they did have them. What about farm to table? Instead the produce seems third rate. Occasionally they get fresh local corn or something like that.

This market has been here forever. Good family owned place. Unfortunately since its not a big chain the prices can be high at times or for certain items. But they usually have great fresh produce.

Hi! My name is Jamielee I'm the Deli Manager of Lorenzo's Town and Country Market. I wanted to reach out to Mr. Frank Ventura because I can't reply to his comment. Mr. Ventura I am so sorry you had a negative experience in our store. We value our customers and respect their opinions. I remember this day very clearly and I'm glad you made this post. First and foremost I apologise for this former employees actions. This is not how we want anyone to leave the store feeling. We now have a very strong team in the deli and I'm very confident in all of them. With that being said Mr. Ventura, on behalf of John Lorenzo and myself, we would greatly appreciate your return to the store to see the changes first hand. Lunch complimentary of John Lorenzo himself. Your opinion matters and we look forward to showing you how we've grown as a team. Thank you for your time. -Jamielee
