This is a nice hotel, but be careful about how the room is assigned to you. We checked in the weekend before Valentine’s Day for a quiet, peaceful weekend. We were told we would get a courtyard view room and ended up in a room with a cement roof view. That is all we could see! The hotel was more than half empty, and there were many more options for the front desk employee to give us what we were promised. I put a review in the TripAdvisor and the hotel manager responded with an automated generic response, see below. This response does not address my issue and is devoid of resolution. We ended up checking out after the first night and left the town."Guysell Geter, General Manager at Hotel Winters, responded to this reviewResponded yesterdayHi A_Keshavazr,Thank you for choosing to stay at Hotel Winters and taking the time to share your experience with us! t is great to read you had a great time at our hotel and enjoyed yourself downtown at our local wineries. Spring is right around the corner our businesses will be open later in the evening.

AC in rooms are either excessively noisy or smell horrible. All other restaurants nearby I tried were much better even at lower prices. Staff was friendly, and the facility is fairly nice with vaulted ceilings, but just the poor room quality and poor restaurant takes all stars away. Bread served is worse than the 50% off bread at the store being sold on the last sell before date and the chicken for their pasta dishes was as dry as precooked chicken from Costco heated up in the microwave. The restaurant down the block for a lower price served a filleted whole piece of chicken tender and juicy with their gnocchi dish.

We just held a meeting here for a few days, I cannot say enough about how amazing this hotel was. Everything was pristinely well kept, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and they have plenty of meeting rooms. Connie, the sales person was fantastic to work with, every single staff we came in contact with was professional and friendly. The food was excellent, banquet staff did a great job on our meeting buffets and breaks. Special mention to Victoria and Dave from the event staff. Plenty of parking in rear of the hotel and on the side. My ONLY complaint and it doesn’t lay on the hotel side is that most of the restaurants and area closes at 9pm on week days - so if you’re there with a team and want to drink late, you’ll have to grab extra drinks or bottles of wine from the bar and take it to the patio or lobby. The hotel has a strict policy on no parties in the room (which I appreciate). Definitely coming back!!!!! Cute little town!

A nice hotel, beautiful but prepare to be disappointed and hear a lot of "I'm sorry, no" responses. My family and I stayed there for a wedding and I loved how the hotel looks but I was let down by almost every aspect of it.Let's start with the rooms. They are clean and very spacious with very tall vaulted ceilings. The rooms are almost bare with how big they are. Bathrooms are clean and well appointed. I had to sign a "No Party" waiver lol.Food. The wedding was catered by their internal kitchen. Many people were forced into the chicken (which was a little dry) because "They didn't prepare enough steak". I asked one of the employees if there was more coming out, "I'm sorry, no".We found an outdoor bar and that was pretty cool. It had a nice view of the Winters area. The drinks were a little pricey but that's to be expected. A bunch of the wedding party loved it out there but they ended up closing the bar 30 minutes early. We asked if they could keep it open until closing time..."I'm sorry, no".Ok, well there was a bar downstairs so we all went down and hung out there. Same story as the restaurant/bar was closing up 30 minutes early. I asked the bartender if we could hang out until the advertised closing time of 9 PM..."I'm sorry, no". (You can see a trend). At this point I was getting kind of annoyed. I asked the bartender if we can just buy a bunch of canned drinks and luckily she would allow it but you can tell that she was crazy about it as multiple people had to ask REALLY nicely. So after that several of us went outside (it was a nice afternoon) to the pool area and sat in the chairs by the pool. At 9 or so they turned off the lights and the fountain on us. That was the Hotel saying "I'm sorry, no" haha. There was also this one person at the front office that had the worst RBF on earth. This guy completely came off like this was the last place he wanted to be and helping a customer was not his jam.In closing I probably won't be back. However I have to give our wedding bartender props. She was friendly and handled her business like a pro.

For the price you pay, (nearly $300 for a night stay) you’d think the front desk would be more prepared and hospitable. Checked in and the receptionist had no idea what she was doing. She had to call someone else and get step by step instructions to figure out how to check us in. She said she was “just covering for someone on their break.” We nearly missed out on our birthday dinner reservations as we stood there holding our bags while she tried to figure out how to get us our room (asking us multiple times if we were checking in)… strange. Later, we asked if they had a corkscrew to open a wine bottle. We got told to go ask the restaurant down the hall, (front desk receptionist was sitting down doing nothing). We walked over and the waitress there wouldn’t even make eye contact with us while we asked. She told us to go down to the bar and ask. Bartender was polite. Then we asked the front desk if we could sit outside and use the heaters since they don’t have a hot tub. She told us someone would come help us turn them on (keep in mind she was still doing nothing else.) Took more than 10 minutes waiting in the cold before their engineer came (he was nice). Rooms were decent and the bathtub took about 30 years to fill with very low water pressure. Air conditioning barely worked and walls were very thin. Parking is pretty much non existent for the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here again but mostly because the lack of front desk hospitality. Considering the price customers pay, the front desk could be more helpful.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms, lobby and common areas area all very fancy! The staff was friendly. Everything was very clean of course and the night was not too noisy. I'm not giving them 5 stars, because I feel that for the price breakfast should be included. Also, depending on what time or day you arrive parking can be very difficult to find. At night I was able to re-park my car in the hotel parking lot, however.

Nice front desk staff. Rooms were clean and decent sized. Lighting was lacking, which is typical of hotels. The king bed was fairly firm, which is my preference. It seemed like it had a pillow top. Pillows are the usual hotel pillows that flatten out when you lay on them - I don't know why most or all hotels have those pillows. Great shower with rain head and hand-held head. Easy to use. We didn't use a lot of the amenities; gym, restaurant (attached), rooftop lounge (not open all the time). Lacking amenities include NO MICROWAVE which was kind of annoying. I would give the hotel 4.5 stars for that if I could. No pool. No coffee downstairs. No breakfast either but we knew that going in. Other amenities include Kurig machine, iron, robes. Good towels in bath. The hotel is a block away from a very quaint downtown that in November was already decorated with christmas lights. The downtown area had a couple of cafes/coffee shops; A few restaurants; Some pretty nice looking bars and a few dive bars. I would stay here again but it's a little pricey for what you get.

Well my first thought was! Man this place is $$Pricey! Especially for being in the little town of Winters and really the only hotel in Winters! But after staying here for our son and newest daughter's wedding at Park Winters! I get it! This hotel is beautiful, clean and the service there is amazing! But the boys thought the gym needs a little upgrade! We will definitely be back!

Service was horrible, no place to park (festival was going on), no greeting upon arrival, no place to unload, had to search for luggage kart as front desk just sat and watched (they were not busy). No hospitality of any kind, I thought this was the hospitality industry. Painfully untrained, clearly poor leadership, and unempowered at the front desk. Great facility, horrible service, at a premium price doesn't add up. Oh as a kicker the worst water pressure of the 6 hotels I have stayed in the last 2 weeks; Makes you think it was on purpose, since it was new construction.

Very friendly front desk staff. Nice looking hotel. Modern construction with historic look. I absolutely loved the central location and the excellent customer service. I would note that parking on-site looked crowded; but I was able to park on street. Overall great look and feel.

I absolutely love love love my room. I got a pet room for Bruiser and Porkchop & myself. The floors were hardwood or something like that. No carpets. It gave the room a super clean and sleek appearance. The view sucked. But the bathroom made up for it lol.The management staff absolutely sucked. There were not enough people to check us in. We were in a wedding "block". You would think they would have extra stuff on hand to handle the rush. And they hit a nerve with my pet peeve. When staff is helping someone, I think it is a courtesy to let the people in be acknowledged. A simple I will be right with you goes a long way. Otherwise you just stand there frustrated, tapping your foot lol.Anyways, the helper staff were great. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive.I would definitely go again, but I would try to get a room facing the courtyard instead of the ugly auto shop.

Large, comfortable rooms with updated look. Hotel is an old historic building that has been completely renovated and looks lovely. The hallways are large, ceilings are high, including in the rooms. The bathrooms are roomy with a very nice shower. The beds are comfortable, with just the right amount of softness and support. Large TV in the room with digital cable. Refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker, but no microwave. No carpeting in the room, and that's understandable given that they are pet friendly, but it does make the room echoey. There's a very nice Italian restaurant attached to the hotel, and the hotel is at the end of the cute historic town, with many good restaurants and a coffee roaster. Cute little shops, little nature trail. A darling stop-over if you are headed north or south along highway 5.

Great sized rooms. Great location for small town feel. The restaurants serves some of the best pasta I've ever tasted. Great bar and seating area.Strangely enough, if you go to the restaurant (Italian restaurant) during lunch, they don't serve pasta of any kind. We were all dumbfounded.Overall great atmosphere. Very clean and vgreat customer service.

Fantastic weekend at the Hotel Winters. The sense of arrival you get when you walk through the lobby and public areas is thrilling and only exceeded by the warm welcome and eager service by the professional staff. Restaurants were excellent and the rooms quiet, superbly comfortable and immaculate. Oh, and if you happen to be there during a "Conjuring and Cocktails" show, don't miss out! Larry Wilson will leave you doubting your own senses as he entertains.

When I booked the room I was unaware that they gave a 20% off discount to local Winters residents. I found this out I contacted the hotel the lady I spoke to was supposed to talk to her manager and call me back but that never happened. When I checked in the staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful with great views. The room could have been more clean there were Cheerios scattered all around the bed I just expected more for $331 a night.

Some of the best rooms and decor for any hotel. It has a art gallery feel. Also attached is the best restaurant in winters that does room service. The staff are amazing! Suites and wedding rooms have balconies overlooking winters! Just understand that it is a small town and mostly everything is closed by 9:00 pm

The hotel is new and very clean. Some of the design choices are odd, towel hooks and closets designed for giants, a safe on the top shelf of the closet, big open rooms with almost no furniture (1-2 chairs, rollerskates optional), only one or two electrical outlets per room, no phones. If you like space, this is for you.- On the first night I had a very loud neighbor and no heat. They eventually got rid of the loud neighbor at about 5am, but boy those walls are thin. They said that they had "reset" the heat pump on the room, and it should be okay.- On the second night I still had no heat. They moved me to a new room the next day.- On the third night the power failed due to a windstorm. Not their fault, but speaking to the locals this block has 5-6 power failures a year and they can't believe there's no backup generator in the hotel. Of course, that means no heat and no lights. But I stuck it out.- On the fourth night, still no power. They did get me some warm blankets and they were really good. At about 1am the fire alarms went off for about 2 seconds, which I think was the battery backups dying. I checked out the next morning. The hotel charged my employer full rate for all four nights.

The hotel is beautiful, modern and clean. The service was friendly. But please, please, please…consider moving the gym to the bottom floor. It was directly over room 226 and it woke me at 6am Sunday morning. Rediculously loud. Otherwise, loved everything else about this lovely hotel and the town of Winters.

Hotel Winters is a great place. We came during a tricky time. Our town was evacuated during a fire. There were very heavy winds. When we got to the hotel their power was out. The place was booked but they were incredibly kind. We only waited for a little while and they were able to find us a room. They brought in rollaway beds for our kids. They were so professional during a time that I'm sure would be frustrating because of no power. They checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. They even brought us some snacks. The room was very clean. During a difficult time of evacuating our home with three kids because of a fire in our county, the staff at Hotel Winters made us feel like we were taken care of.

I booked my parent to stay in this hotel and the experience was a nightmare. The charge was already paid and it was about $173 to stay for 1 night. When my parents got there they were charged again for another about $173 dollars and around $50 dollars for deposit so my parents called me to ask why they're being charged again and I called the Hotel and The manager Yolanda answered the call and she said she will resolve it. After that we checked our account and the amount was put back in to our account. But after checking our account again they charged us another about $173 and about $100 for deposit. I called again to ask why are these charges here but for some reason the reason that I have received was that Yolanda made a mistake with the transaction causing us to be charged again. The other representatives that I spoke to in Hotel Winters were nice and pleasant except for Yolanda and said that they will release the money and everything was okay we only need to wait for a few days. Then my parents checked out and was charged again another $122.29 which they said was being charged to Expedia but was actually charged to our account. This has been a horrific nightmare, what was suppose to be a comforting stay in a hotel turned out to be a continuous process of charging expenses to our account. Yolanda, the guest service manager error caused my parents a lot of inconvenience. I would like to say that this kind of customer service is not an asset to a company. My parents will remember their stay as difficult and stressful. I cannot express how upsetting it was for my parents. My parents said that aside from the customer service from Yolanda, the hotel was really nice and we would have love to have booked reservations with them in future until this incident. In my opinion, I think that we need to put individuals in position that are competent and are an asset to the company based on their action and work performance. And when we put individuals that seem otherwise these kind of situations occur causing damaged to customer and the business as well.

This place is brand new and still getting their act together. No food service yet in hotel (many months away). They are not part of a chain and there are numerous little details they have missed (not enough coffee pods or tea in the rooms). No fridge or microwave (there is a wine cooler). Room upgrade for view of old Winters was technically correct, but a view of the NAPA auto parts store yellow neon sign is not better than small City Hall across a parking lot. It is also pricey, even with a 25% discount. Rooms are all big enough to be wheelchair accessible: why put in curbs at shower? Shower faucet is at least 6ft from shower heads=>long lag in adjusting water temps, almost scalded myself. Rooms are big with high ceilings,. Feels somewhat like an old hotel. Only decent views were on rooftop terrace at sunset. We have been hoping for a nice place to stay just outside the Bay Area along 505 for years, but this is not it yet.
