My Aussie girl enjoyed a spa day here last week and she looks gorgeous! I was impressed that the groomer took notes and was able to point out a behavior that cued me to seek an appt with my vet. The vet confirmed that she's got a knee issue AND complimented the grooming that D&H had done.

I’m sadden to give a bad review to this spot I used to bring my previous maltese for a groom. I was denied service for a new pet!!According to management they do not accept siblings, whatever that means.**My previous maltese passed away and I haven’t been to Dog & Hydrant for a year and a half.**However, I called a couple weeks ago requesting a new appointment for a new pet. Asked for myinfo. and asked if I had been there before, which I have. I was placed on hold right after my response and she was going to check in with her manager.Shortly after, she got back to me saying they actually can’t book an appointment for a new pet because they are siblings.I never said they were siblings. And I also told them my previous pet had passed away a year ago. This is a complete new pet.They denied me service and told me that are not accepting new clients.In regards to the “no shows” I never had an issue getting rescheduled. I always kindly informed when I needed to reschedule. I do have record of being contacted on 5/12/21 and the groomer that day cancelling our appointment because she was the only groomer available at that time and couldn’t see us. Which was very disappointing and I did speak to the owner and had offered a free grooming. In which I was polite and respectfully denied.This being said, I no longer recommend this place. As they did not even attempt to make any accommodations for a new pet.

Great place! Had a full service grooming done today for my dog. He has separation anxiety and they were very calm and patient taking him back. I love the grooming they did very detailed and asked a lot of questions to get exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend them and already have more grooming visits scheduled.

We have known Hannah and her work for years and have followed her here. She has built herself a great reputation and her love for what she does and the animals shows. We have two dogs that love going and almost act like they are going on a mini-vacation and when it's time for pick-up, they act like they would prefer to stay with her, what the heck lol.They have worked hard for this dream and it shows. They have poured their heart into the business and it shows. Pride of ownership at its best right here. Just a few more things to complete till 100% but they are open for business and booking online is really convenient for the busy family.We will continue to make the trek to her shop and enjoy the great downtown atmosphere of Windsor which is basically across the street.Great job on our pooches and see you at our next appointment!

I’ve been taking my dog here for over five years, the staff is so friendly, they truly love the dogs they groom . I have never had any issues that weren’t immediately addressed. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a dog groomer.

I’ve been going to Dog and Hydrant for a few years… I love them and the dogs always look great and are happy to be there!Like most businesses they hit a rough patch during and after Covid-loosing staff thus having to rearrange schedules and not take on new clients… and raise prices. I love them.

Been going here about two years. Always $65 for full groom. Today they said my dog needed two people and was very wiggly and had mats so it was $78. I check my dog for mats before I take her and I know she not wiggly because she is afraid and stands still. Then when I wanted to make another appointment which is every eight weeks they said they don't have anything open until Sept. That would be 4 months over due. I am a regular customer and they treat me like this, very discouraging.On top of that girl at the front desk that helped me was not very friendly.Look at all your options before going here.

Staff was nice. They put on his collar too tight when we were there. We didn’t notice for a week. By then he was in muscle distress. Took well over $200.00 to get him back to normal. We let them know. I wasn’t expecting them to pay for all of it. It was an honest mistake. But they never even contacted me to see if he was ok or to apologize!!! I wasn’t asking for anything. A few free grooming would have made me return. But nothing! Nothing at all. So disappointed in their customer service. I believe they may have changed their policy to let owners put their own collars on. Very disappointed. Thanks

It doesn't get any better than the team at Dog & Hydrant. Yes, you have to schedule well in advance, but they will love and care for your pets like they do their own. We have been taking our doodle there since it opened and have never been happier with his haircuts. They treat him so special and are always receptive about feedback for how we'd like him groomed. Superb service, amazing leadership, woman-owned business -- what's not to love?! Bravo Team Dog & Hydrant!

Our dog, Bo, went in looking scruffy and came out gorgeous. I should mention that he is an 11 month old black and white New Foundland. He was loved on by the staff there and even had pictures taken with them. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable about his breed. I am very satisfied with the service he received and will continue bringing Bo there for his future grooming appointments.

This is by far the best and most caring grooming service I've ever been to, they treated my dog Marley as their own and are also very reasonably priced. They spent a lot more time with my dog than expected for no extra charge. I tipiped them well and will every time. My dog is so important to me and I can't say enough about this place!!i will recommend to everyone!!!!!

So I originally called to see if they had my dog food in stock. They didn't and that's totally fine, not alot of places do. But they advertise they're a dog grooming facility as well. So I called back to get my dog a hair cut but apparently aren't taking new customers for whatever reason. It's a hair cut. Not a vet. Absolutely ridiculous

They do such a great job on our German Shepard, really excellent work. The staff is great, and they treat our dog like she belongs to them.With that said I have one thing that bothers me. Every time I hand them my card they ask if I would like to leave a gratuity. I find this a very unprofessional thing to do. They have a sign in front of the register explaining "if you want to give a Gratuity please tell them before they swipe your card.." Well I said $5 and stepped aside, then a lady walked in to pick up her dog. She handed her card and the girl said "Would you like to leave a gratuity? The lady was obviously supersized and sort of in a daze she said yes $10 All they have to do is install a credit card reader like restaurants have, they have a spot for the customer to privately write in a tip I want to continue bringing my dog to them, but I feel like they are putting me and others in a uncomfortable situation. One mile north on old redwood Hwy. is a take out restaurant they have a jar with a sign right in front of the register. The sign say's tips very much appreciated and I always tip appropriately.

Staff is really friendly and kind. They do a good a job on my wiggly yorkie for a good price. It's not perfect but she never sits still so I have no clue how they do it!

This local pet shop (dog and cat) has become our go to for toys and treats. Friendly and helpful staff, dog friendly (obviously) and a good selection of items. We love the dog bed we purchased here as well as all the high quality dog toys. We are excited for thier self service dog washing stations with thier expansion at end of August! I cant speak to thier pet grooming services but from those I've asked about them, it's been all good comments.

The shop has a wonderful selection of dog and cat supplies. Some of the most creative dog toys around. Staff is great and my dog always looks awesome after her bath.

Awesome!!! My dogs were totally dry and not shedding when the came out. They are shepherds and this is the first place that has actually gotten them all dry and loose hair free.

I take my 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs here and they do a great job with them. More importantly.....both of my dogs LOVE going there! That says MORE than any words that I can write. 2 paws up! 😉

Verrry expensive . I have otherThings to do w/ my $ then spend 46.00 on a dog sweater ,as much as I love myDog. It's not hard to find a dog sweater thats budget friendly and doesn't cost as much as some human sweaters. Def for people who have a lot of money to spend.
