We are definitely coming back… simply beautiful and comfortable… you have everything you need if you want any to be romantic or with your kids and family. The grocery store at walking distance has everything! The sofa bed in the Summer house needs to be fixed or checked because you cannot open even with two people, other than that no complaints and we fell in love… thank you!Rooms: Rooms are great, love the tub, WiFi heating and cooling just wonderfulWalkability: You can walk to the little town stores and restaurants, and a park down the hill

Recommend staying here: YesGreat little motel/cottages. Comfortable room/bedding/heat & a/c, everything. See note below about the ubiquitous wifi problem in the town of Willow Creek.Rooms: Room was spacious and very nicely decorated.Noteworthy details: If you need something important done via internet, do it before 5 PM. Willow Creek (per multiple folks at different businesses in town) only has satellite wifi dish access and (allegedly) everybody in town experiences poor wifi everyday after about 5 PM. I heard this from persons working at the local gas station, laundromat, and from the Coho Cottages staff. I experienced the very slow wifi all evening… but it was strong and fast the next morning. Weak cell phone signal precludes hot spot wifi.

We had a super cute cottage, the Tao House. It was quiet, clean and charming. The bathroom is awesome with a shower that doesn't limit any movement. The soap dispensers weren't working and I called. Someone came by immediately and exchanged them. Throughout our stay, communication with management was great. We loved the idea of a kitchenette stocked with pots that could be used on the hotplate of the BBQ.We would stay here again.

The cottages are not much to look at on the outside, but don’t be put off by that. The room we had, the Tao room, is a rustic, cozy, one bedroom, with wood floors, antique style furniture, a nice bathroom stocked with many towels and accessories, and a large rainfall shower that is excellent and complemented by a skylight. The room has a small inset that houses a refrigerator, microwave, and an excellent assortment of household items, including a sink to wash dishes, and an outside barbecue to cook on.It also has a small porch with a table and two chairsSo, all in all, it is well taken care of, well stocked, and rather a nice place to spend the night. I recommend it. And the price is right at under $200 for the night. The small town has a grocery store, several restaurants and gas stations, so basically it has most things that a traveler would want.

We are currently staying at the Coho Cottages and I felt it’s very important to share our review. We (5 couples) have been traveling for 8/10 days thus far and these cottages, by far, outrank any chain hotel & hospitality!! Don’t hesitate to book these spots! You won’t be sorry! Absolutely love each of these cottages & the special touches. Grill, screened in porch, quiet, music, art & air conditioning! Small kitchen, large showers, antiques & claw foot tubs are absolute spoilers ! Great work & attention to detail- I wish I could stay longer!! Thank you for spoiling us!

We stayed in the Spa cabin, which has a queen bed in the main cabin and two twin beds in a converted fully enclosed porch area. We have two children, so we thought this would be a good fit for our needs. We couldn’t let the children play around the cabin because there is a cliff with about a 100-foot drop only 12-15 feet from the cabin door. A slate rock patio-like structure is built right up to the edge of this unprotected/ unfenced cliff drop, and the cliff hazard is partially hidden by brush and vines. The kids were also freaked out by the dozen or so spiders, beetles, carpenter ants, and other insects that crawled across the main cabin floor while we were trying to relax. I suspect the insects came up through the slits between the floorboards of the converted porch. We had paid two nights in advance but ended up foregoing the second night payment and leaving after one night because we just couldn’t relax there. This is probably a good cabin for adult travelers, but it’s not good /safe for children.Safety: The cliff just a few feet from the cabin door makes the spa cabin unsafe for children.

The cabin and porch area were amazing. The owners and staff take alot of time to make sure everything is nice, ready and clean when I arrived. I wished I could have stayed longer. Great view of the river, lots of birds and small wildlife. Less then a block from a grocery store and walking distance to several gas stations. One of the few times I didn't feel the need to use a black light to check for hidden dirty spots. I will be staying here again next time I'm in the area.

My daughter, my mom, and I loved it. We loved the touch of the lights on, heat on, and music playing as we entered. It was for sure a cute little home away from home. We will for sure be staying here in the future whenever we visit again. We did notice and had to kill a few wasps in the cabin, that was the only bad part. We would find them crawling on the floor. We did love the heated floor in the shower area. Thank you again.

Update: We were out in the area and decided to find a place to stay at the last minute, found Coho Cottages and booked on line. 10 minutes later we were there and all set up for the night. Amazing cottage, we stayed in the Fish Camp cottage and it looked and felt wonderful! Got the grill going and everything was perfect. Slept 6 of us comfortably and the kids were ready to move in for good.

Pros: the bathroom in the Fish Camp room is cool. Loved it!Cons: there is a rock quarry nearby that makes a TREMENDOUS amount of noise, needless to say, this is not relaxing. The nearby grocery store is dirty, understaffed, and poorly stocked. This is in a tiny, depressing town with nothing to do and it's not even pretty.Of course, that's not the hotel's fault. But, when I called the office (there was no one there to check in with), I got a nasty response. "Are you going to stop talking now?" is literally what the woman said less than thirty seconds in. (I was desperate for the restroom and trying to figure out where one might be, so that interaction also set the tone.) We left the next morning but they didn't check any messages until over 24 hours later so they didn't even know; it was worth losing the money and not staying there another night. I guess all in all, our experience didn't jibe with the ratings at all.

My family and stayed in the Fish Camp cabin. Upon arrival all seemed good, the cabins are very cute. After being in the cabin for maybe an hour the A/C unit started to leak water all over the floor. The front desk sent someone out look at it. The Maintance person mentioned that the previous guest had had also complained about the A/C leaking water. Nothing was done to fix the A/C. Our stay that night was very uncomfortable as it was hot out. In the morning I called the front desk to see if we could get a credit as these cabins are not cheap. The woman on the phone said that she would call us back. As of now we have not heard from anyone.

Our experience with Coho Cottages has been nothing short of outstanding & memorable. Not only are the cabins great, but the customer service and the care they take in making sure you feel welcomed and have a great stay goes beyond expectations. I will try to summarizeThe cabins:we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Spa cabin. This large cabin is tucked in the corner and is so cozy and relaxing feeling. It was definitely furnished and planned to be a relaxing experience. The spa theme was carried into the heated tile floor in the bathroom and separate extra deep soaking tub and large tiled shower that had two shower heads as well as the gas fire place an secluded feeling you get having the cabin tucked in the backThe Service an experience:Their website and reservation processes was a breeze. After we reserved our stay I received an email confirmation. The day we were to check in we received a friendly phone call confirming our stay as well as directions for contactless check in (covid). Later we received a call letting us know we had been upgraded (happy anniversary). When we got to our cabin the lights were on the heat set to the perfect temperature and gentle relaxing music playing on the tv. It could not have been more welcoming.Overall this was the best possible experience and I hope to stay here many times in the future and would recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic. The Fish Camp cottage was pristine, the grill was ready to go when we arrived. We had a wonderful night on the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The bathtub was incredible. My wife and 2 daughters had a lovely night with a BBQ and some singing and dancing on the screened in porch.

Cute place! I only stayed for one night in the Village cabin. The cabin was equipped with coffee, coffee pot, dishes etc. Even a grill on the deck. The shower was awesome with a rain can shower head! It was so quite when we were there. The staff was very nice and responsive when needed! Would book again if in the area.

What a great surprise! We were driving in late and really enjoyed the Summer Cottage, it was clean and well appointed. Great decorative touches. So wish we could have stayed longer. The fresh vegetables from the garden were an added bonus.

The cottages were wonderful! They were so homey and comfortable. We were traveling with my dog and they were ready with a bed for him, a bowl for his food, and a baggie of treats, which he appreciated very much! The bed was comfortable, the amenities were outstanding and I would definitely stay again and highly recommend Coho Cottages!

Coho was great! I booked everything over the phone and received all the information I could ask for. My partner and I arrived later than anticipated but were able to use a code to enter our cottage with the convenient keyless entry. The room was beautiful and we both loved the stone-floored shower and comfortable bed. It was a bit too late and chilly to use the barbecue but would be most excellent on another night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Great romantic get away. Really like the privacy. The porch is enclosed, the bed is comfy. You can dim the lights, theirs a BBQ, there was two sinks in the bathroom, and a big shower with a waterfall shower head and nice spa tub. My problem was the ants! Sorry, but the ants were all over the tub and shower. I didn't even get to use the tub and that was the whole reason I paid $250. I love spa tubes. Their was ant poison set out and it was a sticky mess. I tried to clean up the ants and poison, but I wasn't into it. Glad they werent in the bed. Some fancy soft towels and rags would be a good idea. Its makes it more worth the money. And A speaker/bluetooth/alarm clock would be nice. You can do everything online and go check in to your room without dealing with anyone. But if you need help you can call and they walk you through everything. Don't know if I'll go because of the ants. But i would consider, if I wasn't buying.

I stayed here for two nights in early November, 2013. Everything about this place was a pleasant surprise: modern, comfortable, clean, and even plush. Tao cottage was just the right size of one person and had a micro kitchen, so I could heat breakfast and make coffee before heading out to fish for the day. Highly recommended.

Best little place in The Creek if you need a clean place to hang out. This is the spot!!!! Can't say enough good things about this place. My friends Matt & Rhoda turned me on to this place. Super chill, super friendly, the guy even plunged the toilet for me when I made the mess. I LOVE THIS PLACE. PLEASE GO HERE IF YOU WANT PEACE AND QUIET AND SOME GREAT TIMES IN BEAUTIFUL HUMBOLDT NATION!!!

These are the cabins to stay at while in Willow Creek. I recommend the Tao room. The bathroom is WONDERFUL. They have river rock floors in the shower, deep basin sinks and the softest towels. The beds are very comfy too. Definitely a must do.

The Coho Cottages advertise "Luxury Vacation Cabins". My wife and I stayed three nights in the Tao House. The Tao House is neither luxurious nor is it a cabin - it is a room attached to other sleeping quarters that are part of the office. The view from the front porch of the Tao House is across an asphalt parking area. The porch needed sweeping; dead insects were stuck to the wall beneath the porch light. Inside the Tao House there were dead insects and dust on the window sills and a big layer of dust on the door sill. At night it was necessary to wear ear plugs to bed because of the noise from the adjoining sleeping quarters. The advertisement on the webpage is a misrepresentation of what is offered at the Coho Cottages; apparently there are cabins but the Tao House is not one of them and there is nothing on the webpage to make one think otherwise. Such oversight is reprehensible.

Exceeded expectations. We booked the apartment as a last minute overnight and we weren't sure what to expect. Thankfully when we arrived we found the apartment to be well decorated, very comfortable and very clean. Hard wood floors definitely help too.
