The store has almost everything you need, big variety of fresh vegetables and fruits (some local). The quality of the products they bring is good. They take EBT so that's a plus!If you go camping around and forgot something at home you can supply yourself here, they even have tents!I recommend this store, always clean and organized as well.

Good selection however the prices will become a little higher than they should seems like they're doing some price coaching. Unfortunately since . Management is changed prices have gone up it seems that it is hard for them to keep employees. Used to be that when you went to work for the cold store it was a great place to work and people just didn't change. Now it's hard to tell who's working there from one week to the next.

Amazing! Went here after finishing the Lost Coast Trail. They had band-aids, ice cream, chips, and more. I highly recommend stopping in for the variety of sundries!

This is what you want from a general store. They stock pretty much everything you need in a pinch. Better yet, it has a great community vibe.

This is the only general store in Shelter Cove area. It has most stuff one can need on a road trip and one also gets to connect with local people who are exceptionally friendly and respectful. It sells gas too. First pay inside and then join the short line (if any) at the pump.

This is by far the best small grocery/general store I've ever been to. In terms of selection, it's better than even some large grocery stores I've been and still go to.I came here from Texas to vacation for a week and thought this store would render me dining on junk food or it's close cousins "convenience" foods.Nope!They pretty much have something to cover every broad category of craving. Went to cook some Asian food? Covered. Fancy some wagyu beef? Covered. A little Indian food? There's something to work with here. Healthy vegetarian/vegan cooking? You got it!And then there are all of the other non-food items from ear plugs to shovels to dog toys/treats to snorkeling stuff to...well, I could keep listing all day.It's like they crammed a super Walmart into a 7-11 sans things like an automotive center.

Cute little store on your way into Shelter Cove.. pricey but what do you expect for the only market for 20 miles down a winding mountain road?And they have fuel pumps!

It's your only option in shelter cove. I mean where else are you going to go? The bait shop has similar stuff, but not the selection. Still, prices reflect no competition, but where are you gonna go?

Hi sir i havent been here but am from eureka n me my mom n brother r considerin buildin cabins in the area.. looks delightfully skateable! n am very curious about the area if u could please reply id appreciate it.. do u guys sell canned sardines?? Ideally the really good kind with bones n skin in the sardines still.. i have an autoimmune disorder n they help a lot.. bless u all also cute cat! Love a cutesy general store with a cute cat :)

Don’t drive back to the other towns for groceries. Buy here. Fresh California veggies and fish! Lots of organic options. Friendly faces and willing to help of you’re looking for something specific. Shelter Cove is as remote as it gets, but you’d never know it based on the many options available at this store.

We could not believe how well stocked the grocery store portion was. The woman in the "souvenir" half was very nice and helpful, fun selection of local gift items.

What an outstanding little store. We try to eat organic and gluten free whenever possible which can be hard when on vacation. This store has a little bit of everything including a good selection of organic and gluten free. Yes prices are a little more expensive as your would expect in such a remote area but were much more reasonable than I would have expected. Anyone living in Shelter Cove should consider themselves lucky to have such a great little store.

Yes they do have gas on site !!Yes , also , but it in advance and come with your full tank , first things first ! Hills to come here are very pronounced , check your car before coming to shelter cove for the first time because it may over heat.

Great selection, reasonably priced, and have their Covid-19 procedures down. Masks and hand sanitizer outside the door. They have a sweet produce section with vegetarian options as well. Not only do they have good people stuff, their pet section is very thoughtful. But the employees are the real reason I go back.

Always have everything you need! Lots of organic food, reasonable peices, produce, gas, LP, beer wine...thank you for being here! And thank you for requiring masks, providing hand sanitizer and keeping your employees (and customers) safe....the new glass screen looks great!

I always love stopping here when in town. I love the small town feel and old fashion gas pumps are fun to use, but the best of all is they have a cat that works there named Duce. Unfortunately this last time we were in town we didn’t get to see him. :/ He was probably on break taking a catnap.

Tried to check in, could not find anyone. The building had an open sign lit up, but no one was home. Waited 30 minutes, no one showed. Not Shelter Covers fault, but the road getting to the place is unbelievably horrible. Make sure you have good brakes and a lot of patience. It will take a while.

Rude. Political. Nasty towards people who ask for a mask. Told to walk 6 foot away after handed a mask to put it on before walking in the store. All I wanted was gas and a soda. America is not free i do know this but it seems like the wealthy opinionated from the extreme end of a political party control how and what you do in shelter cove. This is a great place for the Karen type of crowd.

I do most of my grocery shopping at the Shelter Cove General Store. They carry lots of fresh organic vegetables, and a wide variety of the gluten free foods I need. The staff are friendly and helpful.
