Staff is phenomenal! They can answer almost any questions you have regarding all types of animals from small reptiles to horses. Coming in on Saturday’s is part of my weekend routine to get reptile food (dubai roaches/crickets.) Every time I come in I’m introduced to new products for my animals. The owners recommended me this great dog shampoo that works wonders on my fur babies. Wild West Feed is a West Sacramento staple.

It's kind of an out of the way location. But I've been a customer since the previous owner. The new owners are bent on keeping the place stocked with better quality pet food & supplies. I kept our last cat alive for 22 years feeding her cat food from this place. (OK, I inherited the cat from my daughter who dropped her off in 2007, an old story about inheriting pets from your kids. LoL's.)

I always enjoy going in here, the staff are very nice and knowledgeable on the products they sell. Very honest people as well as friendly. I mostly buy dog food from here but also purchased an adjustable steel dog kennel. They helped load it in my vehicle (well over 200 pounds) and have advice on how to set it up as well to provide best space and utility of it. Definitely worth a visit and for your future purchases

The young man working the counter was very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. He made sure any questions I had were answered and was quick to offer his help first thing when I came in the door. I have always loved Wild West Feed. Been going here since I was child when they were at their location across the street. I always enjoyed coming to visit and watch all the animals they had for sale. I have always appreciated the personal, friendly staff that are always quick to offer their help. And the positive, friendly, up beat, professional atmosphere is another above and beyond feat to experience there.

I have been going to Wild West Feed since I got my dog, Dakota, ten years ago.However, I am worried about their new schedule. I came in on Monday, 12/19/22,40 minutes early to avoid the rush. I was alone until staff arrived and gave my dog her rabies shot. I left alone. They need to go back to Saturdays because people work. The staff is always AWESOME!

First time they charged me 5.96$ for medium rat .. They next time got a small rat and was charged 8.96. I asked him why it was so much he said a dollar for a box .Still didn't add up and I didn't have a box the first time.... Lost my business

Mom Pop atmosphere with a pretty good sized inventory. I noticed some landscape timbers and half wine barrels for planters etc... A good amount of tac, hay, feed oats, dog and cat food and much more. If you haven't been there go see for yourself, more than I had expected. Knowledgeable and friendly enough guy to take your questions and help you get your big purchases loaded up without much of a wait at all. I'll recommend the place all day.

I purchase a bag if feed yesterday. The guy told me to carry the 50lb bag to the cash register from the shelf and then I had to carry it out to the truck myself. I was the only customer in the store and he was just standing there doing nothing. Customer service sucks! Will never go there again!

I have been living in the west sac, & sac, area for over 2 and 1/2 years. The only place I buy dog food from. It's rare to find a small business store like this. I've not yet had a bad experience there it's always been customer-friendly willing to help you in any way. Not like the big conglomerate pet stores. Where profit comes first. instead of customer service. That's why I give the Wild West Feed pet Supply Store a Solid 4 Star.

Always great customer service here! I love this time of year because they have tons of baby chicks for sale. They're so cute to look at and the staff has great information and lots of details to share about each different variety/breed.

I go here for my chicken feed. The workers are friendly and helpful and they have the type of food my hens like cheaper than most other places (including Costco). Just an FYI for chicken owners, if you want to get meal worms as a treat, use the fill-it-yourself bins because the per pound price is much lower than the pre packaged stuff.

New owners run the shop spectacularly. Gus the Macaw is still there! entirely new reptile/amphibian supply area, live feeders too. they sell bulk feed n seed for hella cheap. baby chicks every few months or so. saturday pet clinics are a lifesaver

DO NOT SHOP HERE! They sell old expired food, the employees and owner do not care about your animals. Please please please do not shop at this feed store. Yes the owner is nice but they do not care about what they are selling. The store is even disgusting. We should have known nothing was good because everything on the shelves are old and dusty. If you care about your animal, you should seriously consider shopping elsewhere. Pets lives matter!

Clean store! They sell chicks! Rabies shots on Saturdays before 2 pm! no appointment. They sell other shots. Love this place. I've been going for a long time. Disregard the over sensitive haters!

This is the true definition of a mom and pop shop. You walk in the for and are always greeted cheerfully. There are live animals to see, including the parrot that'll sometimes chat with you, baby chicks available for purchase, rodents and more. The owner takes pride in his business and provides outstanding personal service. He never lets me carry the large bag of dog food out to my car and insists on carrying it for me. I'll never go back to Amazon again when I can chat with him and support his business with my purchases. I look forward to stocking up once a month!

Wild West Feed is a great little feed store. With four chickens, two dogs, and a cat, I appreciate the location and convenience. The staff (and Paul, the owner) are always super helpful and friendly, and will special order items if you need them. Prices can be a bit on the high side, but nothing more that the gas money it would cost you to drive elsewhere. They even have the VIP Petcare van there on Saturdays for vaccinations, etc. Highly recommended. And be sure to say hi to Gus (the beautiful macaw) when you arrive!

Local and convenient, this is a good spot to go if you're looking for something in a pinch and aren't trying to travel too far. They won't charge you an arm and a leg, and the selection is fairly decent. Alfalfa hay can be spotty in quality, but they've always shot me straight before I've bought it and let me inspect it before hand. Not as big of a selection as some places, but there's still a lot in there either way. Plus, they have a giant parrot in there that adds character to the shop! Be sure to stop by and check it out for yourself!

I know that so much thought and respect and research went into finding all you will or could need to have or want to have for all your different kinds of critters around the house! Accessories and fun and all time must haves! 🏡❤️She was open to suggestions and was taking down ideas to what you wanted to have on more regular basis to keep on stock!! How kool is that?!??My henry has severe anxiety issues with regular pet stores I.E. PETCO/PETSMART he hates the sound of the water pumps i think from the fish tanks, all 1 million🐠💦🐟 of them; and he thinks that i am going to leave him maybe IDK... Anyways he was sooo excited as soon as we walked up to the doors to this store he could not get enough of the smells he wanted to check everything out!! He didnt even know he was walking right up to a live CHICKEN!!!!! 🐔🐔😅😜😋😆 AFTER THAT HER PARROT STALKED HIM!!! IT WAS AMAZING!! HE LOVED IT!!!! 💜❤️😍🖤💚💋💗💖💓🐕 🐔
