I have been a frequent customer at the West Hollywood Petco for about 20 years. From the moment I walk in I am always greeted with a smile and reassured if I needed anything not to hesitate to ask. Every single one of the employees has always shown genuine passion for animals in the way they interact with both customers and pets alike.A while ago while checking out Johnny (who always greets with a warm welcome and smile in his cool red bandana) took the time to explain all about their Vital Care Program and how much I could be saving, and boy did he help me save a ton of money. While adding me to the system we encountered an issue on my account, but he didn't hesitate to quickly grab the phone and contact headquarters to make sure they correct the issue so that he can properly continue the process. Thanks for that Johnny.On my recent visit I had the pleasure of being assisted by Manny. I went in to purchase litter and while checking out he started a friendly conversation about my pets, which then turned to discussing what food we were feeding our pets. His knowledge about various pet products was impressive, and he patiently answered all my questions, guiding me to exactly what I needed. Not only did they help me find the right products, but also took the time to educate me on proper pet care and offered valuable tips and insights that I had never considered before to ensure my pet's well-being. I value the fact that he went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed to provide all my fur babies with the best possible care, not only as a store associate but more as a fellow pet owner. Never made me feel rushed and made sure I left Petco feeling confident that I had made the best choices. I must add he also helped me add all my other pets into the Vital Care system and let me tell you I was so happy to see all the money I was saving. Totally worth it! Thank you Manny!In a world where exceptional customer service is becoming increasingly rare, these Petco workers went above and beyond, setting a shining example for their colleagues and leaving a lasting impression on customers like myself. Petco is fortunate to have such dedicated and passionate individuals on their team. I enjoy coming to Petco for all my pet needs, knowing that I will receive nothing but the best service. Thank you!

Pretty straightforward Petco. Everything is pretty much overpriced. You can get online for fraction of the price or even at Ross. What I really did not like and this is the first and last time will ever happen I will not be visiting the store after this…I was followed around through the entire store, by one of the employees just so happen to “check the prices” of everything that was right next to what I was looking at. I purposely circled around and went back-and-forth to the same aisles just to make sure that it wasn’t just a coincidence insurance fee would follow me to every single while. Not really sure what he was trying to pretend to do….would scan the price of an item, and then mumble some stuff under his breath pretending like he was adding numbers together. Coincidentally, when I went up to the register to PAY for the items I was looking around the store7 to purchase (actually wanted to to buy more things, but made me feel super uncomfortableHaving some guy following me around making me feel like I was doing something wrong,so decided to end my trip early) he coincidentally, stopped, scanning random items, and went to the back of the store.Just a little bit of advice if you think Customer may possibly be stealing, there’s much better ways to do surveillance than to make a customer feel uncomfortable and follow them around the store.I will not be returning this store again ...

Recently visited PETCO for some supplies for my furry friend. The store was well-organized with a wide range of products for various pets. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when I had questions about dietary options for my cat. However, I wish their adoption center had more space and better facilities for the animals. Overall, a solid place for pet needs but there's room for improvement in terms of animal care. 🐾🐱🐶

Gyros galore! And crispy French fries too. Cute little restaurant w very sweet proprietor. Plate portions are HUGE with rice, grilled veggies and meat of your choice. Make sure you get the extra garlic sauce.

This place is the worst. I just called to verify an item for an Instacart order and the employee was rude and snippy. Told me the item was right on the shelf and would not help my Instacart buyer find it. Just left me completely without assistance when my dog just had surgery and needed a specific item. These people are awful, avoid.

Great location for us but otherwise, this place is a total mess. Literally, as it’s cluttered, smelly, and dirty. The back part of the store looks like a serial killer’s garage. Usually, the treats are picked clean but other times they are overflowing with no prices. The grooming area is cramped. Most of the time it looks like the inexperienced groomers are afraid of the dogs. They don’t want you to watch them groom. I’ve seen several dogs fall off the tables with the restraints around their necks. They accept walk-ins but clearly don’t like to deal with them. One groomer there seemed better than the rest but the last time watching him in action worried us. Just too rough with the dogs. The parking lot is helter-skelter too, with cars coming from all directions and poor space markings. The store also a mess due to some of the most unhelpful staff around. They all act like deer in headlights - like they are filling in for someone and don’t want to be bothered before they come back. It’s unfortunate that a major chain like this lets the WeHo location resemble something out of the third world. We have only been in the city for over a year now and are now looking for other options.

The shop is decent sized and there is a good variety of products, but besides dog and car food, so much stuff is out of stock. If you are thinking about taking an Instacart or Shipt order here, think again, because you are probably going to have a grumpy customer and no tip when you can't find what they ordered.

I hadn't been in a store since March and this was necessary due to a vet visit. The staff were fantastic, made even more secure by the presence of a sheriff and mandatory masks. But yes, been going to Petco for several years now and nowhere else!

I really like this Petco. They have a good selection of dog jackets and their dog food selection is huge. I got some wonderful items for my fish tank on sale they were so inexpensive. I recommend you go there when you get a chance because it's a perfect store for all your pet supplies and pet grooming

I used to work next door to this Petco so I have been there often.The staff is nice and knowledgeable and two of my three dogs have been inside to go shopping with me.I had a fun time one night when I walked in and Dick Van Patton was there talking about his dog food and selling one of his memoirs. You gotta love weho!
