A bit confusing at first when it came to pricing - its actually 2 stores in one. Very good inventory with clean aisle and a helpful staff. Clothing, decorations, cards, home goods, cleaning supplies. pet food and people foods this place has a great selection. Staff always greets me as I come in. Handicap ramp as well as 2 parking spots. Well worth stopping into.Hate to do this but the older women in the front are rude and unhelpful. Prices are unmarked on bread and other items. Rude to school age children. I did bring this up to the manager who told me he would talk with. Its seems the men and the under 40 something women are to be commended for their dedication and service but the a few in the over 40 need to take a seminar in on what customer service is about.Will re-review this place in 30 days

We shop in this store often out of convenience, but after this evening, we won't be going back. We bought about 25 items, and when the cashier (I was told her name is Savanna) started ringing us up, she asked if we wanted bags, my husband said yes. She kept ringing our items up, while talking to other people in line, and she asked us again if we wanted bags, my husband said yes, we want 3 bags. She goes back to talking to people in line, and when she rang up our last item, she asked FOR THE THIRD TIME if we want bags. And I said - we've already told you twice we want bags, but you're too busy talking. She yells at me - I'm getting the bags! And I yell back - where are the bags, we've already had to put everything back in the cart! She threw our last item down on the counter, walked off yelling I was rude to her. She asked us THREE times if we want bags, THREE times we said we wanted bags, she never gives us bags, and I'm the one who's rude because I confront her about it? Someone like this employee does not need to be in any form of customer service, and she should be terminated. I'll drive an hour out of my way before I go to this store again. And of course the encounter was typical.

Since the remodel they have like half the staff doing twice the work and it's clearly not working well. Also if you have a wheelchair you can't get past the front door, there are boxes piled everywhere. I waited nearly a month and it hasn't changed, every time I visit there are piles and piles of boxes all over the place, and the isles in the back are maybe 2.5 ft wide.

I know it's the holiday season, but the employee walking around singing about Jesus is incredibly off-putting. Not coming back for a LONG while, despite there only being like two other stores in town. I hope management sees this.

Had easily accessible parking in front and back. I found my cart inside.They had a variety of products. Walked around for half hour. Saw a couple of really good deals.Nice customer service. Someone broke a jar, and worker handled it very well. Very nice interaction with customer.Will come back.

I had to change my review. This past Saturday I had an unfortunate encounter with an employee name Logan. I was talking while being rung up by another employee. Upon my exiting the store Logan asked me was I talking about him, etc. I replied to him, No. I said that conversation was not your concern, not at all but, you need to focus on your job. I called the same day and spoke to the assistant manager she witnessed what Logan did. Then today I spoke to his store manager because the manager was not available until today. Both the manager and assistant manager agreed his behavior was uncalled for, and to provoke a customer.Very immature on Logan's part too.

I honestly do not like the recent remodel that was done. Before, the aisles were already too narrow, now they're even more narrow with stock stacked all over the floor making navigating through them incredibly difficult. The layout doesn't make sense to me; and the outside entrance to the store from the parking lot is still the most absurd thing I've ever seen. I'm not sure the corporation actually fixed anything because I don't see 1 improvement.Today, I went in hoping to find a hat and some cough medicine. They have significantly reduced their clothing aisles to a single small space in the back corner of the room so I wasn't able to find a hat, then the icing on the cake was when i went to the medicine aisle and it was 100% empty. It seems to me that the store reopened way before it was ready. The signs displaying what is located on each aisle are blank; and the first time I went in the store 2 weeks ago the grocery area was empty and today they still apparently haven't brought any medicine in. I was at first not sure why someone would reopen a store before it was at 100% capacity for business but then I remembered this is a corporation and the dollar is the bottom line. The poor employees have to bear the brunt of the disgruntled general public I'm sure. Savannah at the register made my day so at least they have great service.Hey Family Dollar maybe just pay your employees to have a longer leave of absence while you close to "improve" your store, and make sure when you open you're actually carrying all of the items you're supposed to, especially if you're just massacreing said store rather than resolving its old problems? Idk just a random thought.It's a yikes for me.

Cashier was VERY a rude & mimicking me when I went to ask a question as she was too busy on her phone to help me. She even mimicked me rudely as I walked away. If I could leave zero stars I would. I hope you teach your employees better customer service & to not use their phone while on the clock when their is customers in front of them. I hope she gets a better attitude.

Like the remodel setup..lots of variety. More healthy food option choices needed. Getting inside from parking lot is tricky.Mostly trample thru bushed..Need access for seniors and others from parking lot to store entrance..easy open door would be a plus as now it's a push door. Would appreciate consideration on access for ease of entry to store ..

I was there today and the reason I went was to get a good deal on some sodas. But when I went to the isle it was empty. I said something to myself and someone asked, "What are you looking for?" I said, "Sodas." He looked around even went in the back then up front and found some. He pulled them to one side and had them waiting for me at the front counter. It was awesome to see the level of customer help. I will keep coming back. the prices are great for what I buy even name brand stuff. and the staff is super friendly.

I love this store! The customer service representatives and management are all helpful, attentive, efficient and always welcoming!! They have great hours and great product availability. I DO not only recommend it, but say a BIG THANK YOU TO THE RV FAM$FAM!!!!

Never again! They need a NEW MANAGER to train their employees how to treat and act toward the customers. They had an ad for Wise products 4/$3. We decided to go with the popcorn. Got to checkout and the gal decided to check because she didn't believe ANY of the chips were on sale...🀔. I stayed in line while my husband went with her to check. Another lady #2 was stocking and decided to also follow them even though there was a line of 2 or 3 others waiting for a checker to check them. Apparently it takes 2 people to price check now. Soon after lady #2 came back and informed me that the popcorn was not part of the promotion even though it was with all the other Wise products and that I could put it back if I wasn't going to buy them. So I then went back to put them on the shelf, didn't appreciate her approach but I didn't say a word. I got to the aisle and I was telling to my husband that they should honor it since their ad was deceptive (it was in tiny print) and then out of no where comes the original employee barking into our conversation and says that it only includes the chips Maam, with nasty attitude. I turned to her and said I was not speaking to you and you don't need to speak to me like that, her response was simply "Well I dont have to serve you". No problem so I left my stuff at her feet and left the store. I get it was 5pm and they probably wanted to go home but I wonder if the store owner even gets told by the Manager what goes on and how the customers get treated or talked to. Respect for customers is clearly not their motto. Never Again.

All the people that work there are very polite and helpful. Its really convenient of course its one of the only stores that we have in Rio Vista. Sometimes its hard to get what your looking for just depends on how picked over the store is and the day of the week.

I go into this store frequently. Their prices are good and they have alot of variety to choose from. A little of everything. My only problem is that the store is usually busy and most of the time only one worker is on a register. The isles usually have inventory that other workers are trying to put away. I was the nineth person in line today before they called for register help. Of course someone was checking out and took forever to complete their transaction. Several customers in line got fed up and left. I have found that the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I think that the store should have a policy,if there is more than 2 customers waiting in line help should be called.

Cashier was disrespectful as hell, she started mocking the way I talk. Couldn’t get her eyes off her phone for two seconds to answer my question. Hopefully she learns some PEOPLE skills since she’s in CUSTOMER service

EDIT 12/16/2022: I HAVE LIVED IN RIO VISTA FOR 36 YEARS AND HAVE ONLY SEEN CACAROACHES ONCE IN A VERY MESSY HOUSE. THEY ARE NOT COMMON PLACE HERE AND THIS STORE HAS THEM!Slow customer service, and messy. There is usually full boxes of merchandise stacked down nearly all of the aisle most of the time. And these boxes are always in the way of the stuff on the shelves. They are way under staffed.

The Rio Vista Dollar store needs more staff urgently.They cannot continue to operate this good store with stock closing off aisles ..The present staff needs to elevate to management so this store can operate efficiently.. URGENT for safety and to serve the needs of the customers in our town!!!

Decent and cheap. Has everything from household, frozen foods, pet supplies, kids thru plus size clothing, even holiday home/yard decorations.One complaint I do have is that they stock product during business hours instead of overnight, which results in the aisles being obstructed with boxes, storage bins, and U-boats getting worked or just left there. Maybe it's just me, but I like to be able to see and get to the item I came into the store to buy.

The employees are very nice at this location but there is never a time when inventory isn't every where , possible lack of staffing to put up all products ?this store is zero equipt for any ppl with wheelchair . Let alone carts to pass properly.

Stocking was in aisle's. The manager is constantly barking at her employees, but getting around was difficult, due to the boxes everywhere in the aisles.Oh and try cleaning the cobweb's from the windows! Especially the doorway!!!! Get it together. Poorly managed!!!

this is a decent place, however every time i have gone there the staff has not been very friendly and they were talking trash about other workers, and there were times that i have gone and the staff were talking about getting high. i dont go there very often because i dont like listening to people disrespect others or talking about using drugs. i dont feel that it is an appropriate place to be doing these things.

Always have loved Family Dollar Store in the past but recently noticed they're replacing some of their items with lower quality items. I will still visit Family Dollar Store for products they still carry that I use but I definitely won't try anything new that they're bringing in. It's a waste of my time and theirs having to return inferior products.

Exactly what I expected from a Dollar store RUDE, slow, not so sharp. The manager is a PR#@K! I don't intend to shop there anymore. Don't accept rude customer service. This is a small town and word travels fast!

I wish I could give this store a 0 star it’s unsafe for the coworkers they let grown men beat on smaller women and do nothing about it I wouldn’t blame the coworker too quite and leave I hope the man who beat her ends up in prison and this store has better security if I was that young lady I would sue the family dollar company and sue the woman beater for what he done she was tiny and he could have walked away idk what the full story is but a man should never hit a woman especially if you know she small the coworkers who watched did nothing but watch and safety in that store should always be first but this company seems like they only care for themselves I wouldn’t dare shop at this family dollar again and if I could I would recommend never shop there

It's an out of the way place for me, I don't go to Rio Vista much but it's got a good mix of items. I think I came on a load day because the aisles were stacked with freight. The aisles are small , so if it wasn't early morning on a weekday, it could've been more of an issue.

Second time coupons don't work there. Lots of promises, but no coupon discounts.And returns always a problem. No returns on electronics. You buy it, it doesn't work, too bad for you.

Very decent store worth your time going in lots of surprising things for a very reasonable price and if you really need something they have a lot of stuff to choose from
