We had wonderful experiences there. Sadly, Mr. Bo Jangles passed away this month. He was 15 years old. We are heart broken. You may recognize the name Bo Sausage as he was known there. You have an excellent place for our fur babies. We live in Az, but if we should get out there again and have another puppy to love we will definitely use you. Wonderful owners and wonderful staff.

Sandy loves going to CampRun-A-Mutt! She’s ready for a good time when the car pulls into the parking lot as one of the staff members comes to take her to play with the rest of the fur buddies! When I pick her up she is so happy and ready to tell me about her day. By bed time, she’s fast asleep. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I really like that I can check in on her via the camera, AND the spacious parking lot! There’s so much to love about this establishment! I drive her to this particular location… and it’s a bit out of my way, but well worth it.I only wish I could get Sandy out there more frequently.Thank you for all you do Camp Run-A-Mutt CV!

We really loved taking Ziggy to Camp run a mutt. It was his initial form of socialization and it was an overall great experience and resource to have as a dog owner. I personally work and crate during the week so this was a perfect tool to socialize my Frenchie while breaking up the work week for me and crate time for him. The staff are all friendly. The process of signing up and drop off/pick ups is easy and very accommodating for a working fur parent. We enjoyed checking in on him on the mutt camsWhenever I would pick Ziggy up he would spend the ride home rolling around in the back seat from excitement with a big Frenchie smile and end up snoring the rest of the ride home 😁We look forward to bringing him back once we get him neutered.

Camp Run-A-Mutt saved our vacation!! We have a puppy and couldn’t find anyone to dog sit while away so we had to bring him with us. Although our RV resort (Sun Outdoors about 2 miles away) allowed pets, we didn’t want to leave him all day while site seeing. Thankfully Camp Run-A-Mutt came to the rescue!!! Not only that, but our pup Blue had the best time and came home each night all tuckered out from playing. They were closed on Sunday but thankfully we utilized the overnight option so we could go to the Padres game. Anyway, I just want to share my sincere appreciation for this staff. Wonderfully ran facility and the doggy cams were a huge bonus. My only complaint is I don’t live nearby to keep sending him to get all his energy out.

Love this place! They are friendly and take care of our Gunner (Lab puppy)I wanted to add, We’ve left Gunner for the day and overnight, I love the little report cards they give at the end of the visit! I also love that I can be out of town and be able to check on Gunner via cam. The intake and outtake is smooth and quick. The staff is very friendly and you can definitely tell they enjoy working with dogs! The price is affordable and they support our military!

The owners are fantastic. They really know dog behavior, help save animals in their spare time, and are so understanding of situations and specific needs. I've taken my dogs to other camp run-a-mutts but this place has been my favorite. I wish i could keep taking my dogs here but unfortunately i had to move. These people and how they run their business has set the bar and ive yet to find someone or somewhere to match it.My boy Theo had a tendency to get nippy when excited and they understood how to deal with him and make him feel safe. This as one of the only places i could take him and know he was going to be alright as well as the staff.20/10 stars if i could.

Our "Honey" 4 month ESA pug LOVES going to camp. My daughter has peace of mind knowing Honey is safe and well taken care of when we are not home. Staff are very kind, friendly. Honey look forward in attending.I must add after attending for almost 2 years. They should really have better working cameras!

My dog absolutely adores Camp Run-A-Mutt. When we get there, she runs inside to greet the front desk employees. When I pick her up, she comes home and sleeps after playing with the other dogs all day. Their half day is up to 6 hours and she loves every minute.

The best place ever!! My dog LLLLOOOVVVEESSSS ❤️ to be dropped off. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, you can watch your pup on cameras watching them play with other dogs, sleep, or play in the water, and the prices are fair. They keep track of your dog’s shot records that are required and will even remind you when the vaccines will expire. My dog also loves staying over night. I would definitely recommend this place for your dog!!! This review from a loving dog parent and her dog Luna!!

Every single staff member treats my pup like their best buddy and I love it! They are always so excited to see him and always so friendly, that it makes such a pleasant experience to be there. Very clean and organized as well. And love the camera access so I can check in on my dog whenever :)

These people were so good to my dog. I left him there for 6 hours after he passed the temperament test. I checked on him many times throughout that 6 hours via video cameras. I saw him playing and wandering around with the other pups. In addition, every time I checked, there were one or two humans there overseeing the dogs. I am SO HAPPY I found this place. Thanks Run-a-mutt!

Tucker loves it here! He’s so comfortable and has so many friends. Everybody who works here treats him like family and we never feel guilty about leaving him. Because we’re so happy with him here, it made it so much easier to board him! Thanks so much, Camp Run-a-Mutt!!

Camp Run-A-Mutt Chula Vista accepts your furry loved ones into a cage-free daily environment. It's like recess (complete with Yard Duty employees!) all day! Our dogs can walk around, play on the variety of 'climbing things', platforms or wading pool, and socialize. They can also just chill under the sun or a canopy. The initial reason we sought out a place for our Molly was to board her and secondly to give her a safe place to socialize (the local leash-free parks were great but we also wanted to leave her for the day at times). We discovered Camp's cage-free boarding: at night, a sleeping area is created with beds placed all around in a living room setting, complete with a human sitter! I almost forgot to mention: you can view all the daytime action on their website via 'mutt cams'!All of these amenities are good to have but what makes the experience the best are the people hired! We can tell each and every one of them want to be there and are professional and caring toward our pets. I found out that ownership changed hands quite by accident. Molly still cries when we pull into the parking lot and I think that it's because the job satisfaction (maybe because of the new owners?) of the employees shows in their words and actions when we do a drop off or pick up.Yes, Camp costs more than cage-boarding and other daily drop off places but the satisfaction of knowing those who give you unconditional love are well-cared-for. I would recommend this location whole-heartedly!

Our family dog’s name is Funko. Funko is a blue nose pitbull & he is eight years old. He was rehomed to us at the age of 3. Funko is a very nervous dog, & has leash aggression. Because of this, we would avoid taking him out on walks but this year we decided to give Camp Run-A-Mutt a chance… what we can say as a family is that we regret not bringing him sooner! Funko anticipates going to camp, every morning when he hears me walk to our front door, he runs hoping that it’s one of the two days I take him to camp during the week. He comes home from camp depleted of all the fun he has.Funko really wanted to write this review, but he just got back from camp and is exhausted! Thanks Camp Run-A-Mutt staff, Funko always feels loved at camp🐶🐾

We are so happy to have found Cam Run A Mutt! The facility is clean, the staff is amazing and Luna (my German Shepherd) was happy! I enjoyed seeing her play on the camera and she was worn out when she returned home. Luna looks forward to returning! ❤️

Best place we’ve found in the San Diego area. We came back for a visit from Tucson and our big girl acted as if she had never left! The people working there remembered her and she was so excited to see them. Camp Run-a-Mutt carefully temperament tests all dogs and retests after a long absence. I love the ability to buy a package and then drop off according to my schedule. Tonks has sooo much fun and gives them 4 paws up!!

My dog LOVES coming to Camp Run A Mutt to play with her friends (the other dogs and the humans)! The staff is so friendly. It feels like they take the time to get to know the personalities and needs of each dog.

I’ll preface this by saying my dog never came to stay here but I’ll explain.I was going away on a vacation and sent the vaccination records. They were really rude in their response (my dog needed a vaccine which I WAS able to get before I left). They were not helpful whatsoever, treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about, so I decided to go elsewhere. My dog wound up having a very amazing experience at Paw Commons but considering I get emails every week from this place to write a review, here it is.My advice: don’t go here. Go somewhere else.

We have been taking our 2 1/2 year old dog, "Bear", to Camp Run-A-Mutt since he was 5 months old and it's like a second home for him. They are totally reliable and dependable. When we drop him off, he never looks back or hesitates, he knows that there are good things inside. All of the staff greet him by name and seem very familiar with him, which makes us feel good. His groomer, Astrid, does a great job when he needs a bath and cut, and overall, their staff is absolutely excellent. We all love Camp Run-A-Mutt and we highly recommend it!!!

Out experience has been great recently. There are several people working each shift, so the response is always fast when we bring in our dog.The staff is always friendly and remembers our dog from visit to visit. We have now started bringing our second dog to Camp Run-a- Mutt as well, which has been good for him in terms of socialization.

Gabby introduced me to Camp Run A Mutt and I have no regrets. Great Experience here for our 3 year old pit, Loki. He enjoys all day cage free play with other friendly dogs in a safe environment. Lots of friendly staff. The owners are friendly and professional. I love that I can see my dog on the cameras. We do half days for him (6hrs) and he comes home exhausted and happy. He's been going there once a week almost every week for almost 2 years now. Highly recommend.

I have gotten multiple emails about reviewing camp run a mutt so here is a real and honest review. Initially, this place was great. We had a brand new German Shepherd puppy with a lot of energy and both worked during the day. We went to camp run a mutt, did a temperament test, everything was good to go so we started right away and used the Chula Vista location. So much so that we had the unlimited pass, which was pretty expensive but necessary so we paid it.Fast forward to the end of our time here- our dog got kicked out for his behavior towards staff and other dogs. None of which we were properly informed of over the period of time he was there until it reached a point where it was no longer safe for their staff or other dogs for him to be around because of how rough he played. Prior to taking him here we never had an issue- we went to dog parks, dog beaches ma, public places and never once had a problem. We stopped doing this once we found camp run a mutt as he was usually exhausted by the end of the day. After he got kicked out we resumed those outing and that’s when we saw the multiple behavioral problems that he picked up at camp run a mutt. Long story short it resulted in us paying $5000 for a board and train program to correct the behavior he learned here. The training company who is very well known in San Diego advised us that this happens all the time because they have minimal staff, who aren’t trained and the dogs often adopt these behaviors over time and no correction. The part that frustrated us the most was the lack of communication and emphasis on how serious the issue actually was leading up to our last time there. From what I heard the old owners sold it and someone else took it over so I can’t speak on the new ownership but what I can say from experience is that if your dog doesn’t have behavioral problems, expect they might adopt some going here. For some dogs, I think this is a great option but after having to spend the last couple years retraining our dog it wasn’t worth the time he spent there.

My rescue dog loves it here. His first time he was hesitant and now when we board him there he does not even look back at us when its drop off time. He comes home happy and tired. I feel completely at ease when he is with Camp Run-A-Mutt.

Camp Run A Mutt is Apa’s second home since 2018. Apa loves the place and the people that work there. Apa have his grooming, day care(playing), and boarding in this place. The other day, I picked up Apa from a 15 days out of the country trip. And as usual, he looked healthy and happy. Camp Run A Mutt gives me peace of mind knowing that Apa is taking care of. The place is immaculate. The staff are excellent…very caring and attentive. The staff knows every single dog’s name that comes into the door. I highly recommend Camp Run A Mutt to all dogs owners like me.

I’ve been taking my dog to Camp Run a Mutt for a couple of years now. I love the staff and so does Ziggy! He practically jumps out of the car when I drop him off. The staff is always attentive and they take excellent care of him!

My dog Milli absolutely LOVES coming to Camp Run-A-Mutt! She’s been to a couple different doggie daycares, most she doesn’t seem too excited to go to and others she even seemed scared of 😢 But not this place! She had her meet-and greet on a Saturday and when I took her back on Thursday, 4 days later (which is very long in dog time) she recognized it before we even got pulled into the parking lot and got so excited she was jumping around and crying to go in! Didn’t even look back to say bye to me, which hurt my feelings a little bit, but I was happy she loved this place and felt so safe. I checked in on her using their Mutt Cams and she was happy and playing every time. She also has a GPS/step counting collar and she got 30k steps in the approximately 5 hours she was there, she usually gets around 15k all day. She slept for hours after because she was so tired from all the fun and exercise. Mind you, this is a dog who needs 2-3 walks a day 😂 We love Camp Run-a-Mutt and can’t wait to come back!
