This deli is excellent, with great people working there. Ryan, the night manager, is the coolest. Jose is always helpful to everyone and consistently stays late—I know because I often run in last minute. He's the one face that maintains patience even during busy times.

Had the pleasure of being checked out by an older Caucasian woman by the name of Martha. I am a WIC and EBT shopper. She was very hospitable with the Caucasian male that was ahead of me, when I came up behind I smiled at her. She gave me the death stare. Then I proceeded to ask about the chocolate on sale and she said “if you type in your phone number you get the sale” i replied with “can I just enter any number :) ?” She mumbled something about “I don’t know if you have an account with us” then she asked if I needed bags I said “yes please” and then i waited for her to scan my items. She just stared at me and repeated “ do you need bags??” Very condescendingly and I repeated “yes I said yes 😅”When I went to slide my card for my WIC benefits she said to a co worker “are we even taking WIC?” He responds with yes and says hi to me, then she said “I’m waiting for you to hit yes” I said “already did it says waiting for cashier.” I pull out my ebt card for the remaining balance. She turns to the next person in line and says “we will be right w you with a smile.” She was very rude for no apparent reason she seemed a bit racist as I am a Latina single mom with two kids with me. And she seemed to not want to service me. Keep in mind I have come here for the past several years multiple times a week and never have had any issues like this. And I know for a fact they take both my ebt and WIC card. Just was expecting the same hospitable treatment as the other folks she serviced 🤷🏻‍♀️.

UPDATE: Cashiers still mishandle produce at checkout. I've seen one slide toss bananas and peaches across the counter after weighing them. Now I got sick from the deli fried chicken. On Friday 11/3/2023 I picked up the 8 piece (4 legs and 4 thighs) dark meat that occasionally will be on sale for $5 during their $5 Friday specials. At the time I showed up, there wasn't enough left to make a full set and had to wait a few more minutes for the next batch to be ready. When I got home I ate the 4 legs and some snack veggies and started feeling queasy. 🤢 I took an antacid tablet and managed to keep it all down. The next day I ate 2 of the leftover thighs and immediately felt indigestion. I took another antacid, but it didn't help. My mouth filled with saliva and I threw it all up. 🤮 It was definitely a bad batch of chicken. I didn't want to risk it again and tossed the last 2 thighs in the trash. Then that had to be taken out to the dumpster because it stunk horrendously. Now I'll never eat their deli fried chicken again.Gotten expensive and overpriced. The only time I can afford to shop for some things here is when they're on sale or on the clearance rack. Plus cashiers are always haphazardly (mis)handling my produce items, causing them to be bruised and damaged.

Don't ever dispute a charge with their online chat team. Wasted 20 minutes and she finally said go the store. They must use foreign chat rooms because her reading comprehension was awful. She should have said right from the start goto the store. I'll never get those 20 minutes back 😁

Staff can make or break your store, well the staff here are ruining this one.I regret calling anyone pos, however if you're going to talk to the director, don't do it on my behalf because I am uninterested in any sort of resolution here. I will be avoiding your store.

We get our baked and fried chicken from their deli. Last evening our order when I got home was not good. The baked chicken was over cooked and dry. The fried chicken was alright. Their deli chicken here is normally pretty good. Not at all this time. 😠👎🏾😝

Kevin, who works here, is by far one of the hardest workers I have seen.He's very kind and speedy at the register. I hope he knows he is appreciated.I like this grocery store for the amount of room in the aisles.The selection is great.The prices are variable for those with patience to wait for deals.If you're not happy with the produce, just ask for help.The deals are in the aisle next to self checkout.That's when you left with 10 items and came in for 2.The Self checkout area is spacious. Super easy.Tina is always 😃 smiling and helpful.She is delightful managing self checkoutKeeps all the alcoholics out of the self-checkout area. 😆

Wonderful staff that welcome you by name. They obviously have great management and training because the store is spotless, runs efficiently and is well stocked. With a fresh produce, baked goods, deli, and a butcher the variety is above board. I would recommend this location to friends and family. Blessings in Jesus Name.

Great location and selection. Shopping is easy and convenient except in the morning when it's the busiest right before folks go to work or school. The express lanes and self checkout lanes are closed. These need to be open so people can grab and go. Nobody's trying to do their whole house shopping that early in the morning. Everybody needs to be able to get in and out quickly.Update a year later: this continues to be an issue. Long lines with one register open at 7:45a. I have 2 items and cannot get out in under 15 minutes. Self checkout needs to be open.

This is my Neighborhood Grocery Store! The employees are great here. I use to live in Escondido but moved closer to the water because of the heat inland. Although, I stayed in Vista because of the store. I have to be happy where I shop, and I don't have one complaint in the last 6 years I have lived here.

Friendly wait staff, store is easy to navigate, keep an eye on your purse, there are lots of thieves in that area. Not saying you're going to get mugged if you go there just saying keep an eye on your valuables

Store is clean and nice. Prices are quite high. Staff seems depressed and unfriendly. Asked about the staff demeanor and all I can imagine is poor management style. Staff says people don't want to work. Quit sometimes the same day or just don't show up again.

Rude cashiers with little to no customer service, I asked a question which was answered with attitude, which I don't appreciate, when all I was trying to do is figure out how to clip a coupon from the app.Please bring back the customer friendly cashiers, seriously this doesn't help the fact that your prices are already over priced!
