What a hidden gem! I had been searching for Halloween costumes for a couple of weeks and we decided to stop by and check this place out. I am so glad I did because I found a costume for less than $10. I will definitely be back.

I called and arranged a pick up the men were polite, efficient and courteous. I called today for another pick up and the number has been disconnected. I hope this is temporary.This was my mistake, as I misdialed. I apologize for any confusion, I have arranged for another pick up of very nice goods.

The older ladies at the register aren't friendly and come off as rude. unfortunately this gives the shopping experience an unpleasant vibe.I love the deals there and would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the cashier staff. I've dealt with the manager before and seems to be a nice man and the younger guy who works in the back has great costumer service.

The place is run pretty much entirely by forced community service workers. Anything of actual value gets skimmed by the main manager guy and sold on ebay. Who recieves benefit of their profits anyway? They aren't doing anything in the community for certain. Just sifting through your garbage using free convict labor and selling the stuff you didn't realize had value on the side. Donate elsewhere.

The young men who help stock the floors are always kind and helpful. The front desk lady's were typically kind to me, until today. I wanted tk purchase a peice of furniture that was very obviously used and missing a vital peice to make to function. It was priced at over $150+ as if all the peices were there and it was brand new, and it very obviously wasn't. I thought I it was a Good deal because it was 50% off furniture day. I went to inquire about the missing peice a delivery fee, but the girl working the front informed the delivery fee would be $8 because I live extremely close by. I called my friend for a second opinion and by the time I made my decision the girl helping me went on break and a older hispanic lady took over and changed the price and hold me the delivery fee was actually $15 dollars and there was a new handing feeI politely told her that is not what the younger lady had told me and her response was "you can wait for her to come back from break if you would like but why would she tell you that". She treated me with disrespect and dismissal.I was an avid shopper here for a while but won't be supporting them until they can train there front employees to handle customers with more respect and give more accurate information to customers regarding prices. .

This is a great place to go too especially the boutique i have found great home decorations. I have found so many things i have decorated and furnished my entire home with furniture from there. The enployees are very friendly and helpful. I highly recomend it. Whenever I need something first I go there and then every where else cause i find most of everything i need for the house.

This thrift store has good prices on clothes, and they are set by type (all women's shirts 2.99 for instance) and certain tags are often half off. They only have one dressing room by the front desk which is a little awkward. But I got 2 nice shirts and 2 shoes for $5 total, so it's worth looking through

They're friendly, they're local, and they have the best selection and the best prices of all the thrift stores in town.Today I had a bad experience with the customer service at Goodwill, so I came over to Visalia Emergency Aid Council Thrift Store and the interaction was the exact opposite.Even though the employee, who I think was the manager, told me they don't actually take desks, he explained it in a nice way and even agreed to take it to the dump along with their large truckload for a $5 donation that covers the dump fee for it. I donated $7 and went inside and spent $20 more on items. There was such a huge difference in interactions, and you can read my review of Goodwill in Visalia for the whole story. This employee or manager at Visalia Emergency Aid did something that may have gone against their everyday policy, but it was simple for him to do and he solved my problem.I think I've written less than five reviews in my life, but today I had to do it because I experienced one-star and five-star customer service within a span of forty five minutes.

I forgot about this thrift store..ive been shopping at rescue treasures/goodwill but all these thrift stores have been crazy over priced for being used stuff.. Came here and wow...fair pricing for a thrift store..neat and fun to browse..this is my go to thrift store and i only donate here because they still remember why they are a thrift store.

Very clean but have Gotten way to overpriced. The most expensive in visalia. Their prices are basically store prices. I find it unfair it's all donated and should be priced at an affordable price seeing most thrift shoppers on on very tight budget.

This was my first time there found a few items I had to have some items though were overpriced for being a thrift store , who ever prices there items needs to realize that businesses is about turn around the quicker it leaves the sooner you have space for something else .

I have never heard of an emergency aid place that doesn't help the homeless. Workers actually stated they only help people with homes. I'm pretty sure the homeless community could use the help. Smh

Horrible they treat these items as if they're brand new out the manufacturer. I'm offend and outraged they're supposed to be helping ppl who are in need and cannot afford them not use it as a come up.
