The Pharmacist Akabike acted like I was drug seeking for 3 Norco 5s post dental surgery... The whole left side of my mouth looked like I had a golf ball in there. By the time he said it ready (6days!!!), I didn't need them. I spent 3 days in bad pain. The other 3 I just wanted to eat. Why even be a pharmacy if you won't dispense meds to patients and act overly crazy about controlled substances?Akabike said he needed a diagnosis from the dentist. I called my Oral surgeon, and he was confused why they would need a diagnosis for 3 hydrocodones from an oral surgeon's office.

Nobody knows how to pick up the phone in the pharmacy. Called 5 times about 5 minutes apart with nothing. 10/2/23 between 8:30 and 9:00 AMEdit: Just called once more at 8:59 and someone actually picked up then hung up without a word

This is the least dependable pharmacy I've ever worked with. I call in a prescription refill and it doesn't matter if I show up an hour later or two days later, it's never filed before I'm standing there waiting.

Worse Rite Aid I have ever been too with the attitude employees when you question them on why they never have ice cream and then stands there waiting for the other cashier to ring you up because you had told them it's summer you guys don't order extra and her commit was we only order once a week maybe try coming in the beginning of the week instead of the end or the week. I ignored her and guessing that also why she did want to ring us up

I came over to Rite Aid from being a customer at CVS for years. I just couldn't stand the long lines and long wait for prescriptions anymore. The pharmacist at Rite Aid East Walnut {that’s the one that I go to} are the nicest guys in the world and the staff, Katrina and the rest of the girls, are very nice & helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I called at 930am to see if my prescription would be ready and they said to call back in a couple of hours. I called at 1pm and was told it wasn't ready with no mention of a problem. I called at 4pm as my doctor's office closes at 5pm and if there was a problem I needed it fixed as it was pain medication for after the next day's surgery. Went to Rite Aid in person after being told they would not bill my insurance. Rite Aid manager refused to process my claim under VA TriWest even though I printed out instructions for her from the website stating that they were a covered provider. Then they told me they hadn't been billing TriWest the past year but Medi-Cal which I did not have!!!! She was so disrespectful and told me that if I wanted the medication I would have to pay cash. She left the instructions on the counter and walked away.

If you can choose another pharmacy do yourself a favor and go for it. In the last two days, I have called maybe 10 times and the pharmacy has only answered 3x. Their pharmacist assistants are always rude. Like they they belittle me when I am calling for my refill. They want me to trust their text system when it has failed me 2 times in the past. They are annoyed I am calling. I can’t do my job without my medication. I am overstimulated and disregulated without my medication. I think you taking the time out of your day and answering my questions isn’t much to ask. I am biting my tounge to not tell you off for being so rude and condescending. Some of us need our medication to function. If your system was trustworthy I would trust it. It has failed me and continues to fail me. After these refills I will make sure I no longer bother you with my phone calls. It must be nice for a company like rite aid to have employees like they do and be able to afford the loss of a few customers.

I had to switch from cvs because they stopped accepting cerebral prescriptions, this was the next choice for my insurance…I mean I have to use this pharmacy, but I don’t like it. When I go to pick up prescriptions my wait is so long despite being the only one on the pharmacy floor. The rite aid app is garbage 🗑. It doesn’t show any of my prescriptions. So no way to manage them through the app.

My complaint is for the East Walnut Rite Aid. Went in last Friday and they did not have my prescription filled. No problem. Informed me that they would text me back by 3pm for me to pick up. Did not happen. No problem. Went to pick up Monday morning and they had sign on door saying closed due to water problem and drive thru was accessable. I got in line. Several vehicles ahead of me. Line was not moving. One guy got out of his car I guess to stretch. After sometime I had to leave. No problem. I came back hours later and it was still closed and still had a line. I got in line again and again the line was not moving. It was 100 degrees outside and I had my elderly mother with me and could not stay in line any more. No pronblem. I called the right aid to ask if they could transfer my prescription to another Rite Aid that was open so I could get my medication for my surgery in the morning. The gal from pharmacy said she could not do that and that I would have to get in line at the drive through. I explained that I did that twice and could not do it again because the line was not moving and it was 100 degrees outside. Long story short. She hung up on me. I have to say I was not surprised by the tone of her attitude. She obviously does not understand customer service. From the first day I walked in on Friday ( I recenlty moved to that area) I did not feel the warmth or friendly customer servicer like the store on West Walnut. Now that is a great store with friendly people. The people are a reflection of management and I just have to say that I will not be returning to the store and recommend others to go elsewhere as this seems to be a pharmacy that has no culture or understanding of customer service and if they don't like to have tough discussions when it comes to serious needs of meds they hang up on you? By the way. I am scheduled for surgery in the morning and I will not have my meds as prescribed by the doctor? I don't know who performs the interview process for these positions, but I am very disapointed and feel really nervous without my meds for my surgery in the morning.Just my story and at the least this is what happens when you hire and allow staff to be rude and not qualified to handle situations. It's sad. I will now drive across town because I have no trust in the Rite Aid East Visalia Store Pharmacy.Unhappy customer

I tried to call to get an out of state prescriptions filled and they automatically didn’t want to fill it and kept telling me it came controlled substances, I contacted my doctor the next day, confirming I’m not on controlled substances and they can be filled. But neither the pharmacy tech or the pharmacist would hear me out and contact my pharmacy for confirmation.

If I could give the pharmacist Chinedu Akabike and Cashier Rebecca individual zero stars I would, unfortunately I have to give the store all together a negative rating. If you’re a patient with a valid Doctors office prescription with time sensitive drug you have to administer Chinedu Akabike will make sure to make it as difficult as possible to get the Prescription you need. He was extremely rude, not helpful and clearly acted like he was above everyone. I had my Doctors office send my prescription to Rite aid this evening as CVS was out of what I needed. When I went up to the window, I was immediately met with Chinedu Akabike’s rude greeting. I explained to him what I needed and why I was at the pharmacy. He made it almost impossible to get syringes for my medical procedure that I’m in tens of thousands of dollar deep in. Even after my doctors office sent a prescription and called him, he was still rude and made me feel like as if I was a criminal or a drug addict. The nurse on call with my doctors office even called and explained that I’m on a time sensitive medication, and he still came to me after talking to the medical professional asking why did I need syringes? I told him, “my nurse said she sent over the prescription and also included a note to explain for what and why I needed the syringes” he continued to be rude and and treat me with disrespect. Ive never met Chinedu Akabike before, so I’m not exactly sure why he’d treat me so badly as a patient of the pharmacy and a paying customer. As I was getting closer to check out I thought, let me go ahead and film the rest of the interaction since I’ve been treated so rudely not ever knowing anyone of these people working in the pharmacy. My doctors on call nurse called me back and told me that I should put in a complaint with corporate. Even my Doctors on call nurse was bothered with the way he talked to her. As I walked away Chinedu Akabike the pharmacist wanted to know why I was asking for his name, and the cashier Rebecca replied back to him “she’s being a weirdo” at that point I was done talking and bothering with them. Nobody deserves to be treated the way I was treated. I really hope someone reads this and takes notices of the way Chinedu and Rebecca conducts themselves at Rite Aid.

This pharmacy is so ridiculous they don’t even answer their phone I tried calling to make sure my prescription was ready sat on the phone for 20 mins just to get someone to answer me then was told I had to wait another hour for my prescription I definitely do not recommend this store at all

The workers and pharmacist assistants are very nice and respectfull, and I love the ice cream sold here. But the Pharmacist is rude and condescending. He lies about when medications will be ready and always hassles my dad when it comes time to pick up his pain medication. My dad has a broken back and messed up knees and is very responsible when it comes to taking his medications, but this man treats him like he is a junky or something. He will make my dad wait 2 or 3 days after the day he is supposed to receive his pain meds, this causes my dad to be in a lot of pain. We're never using this pharmacy again.

The staff isn't the friendliest and they are a tad bit more pricey but close to home so it's more convenient for me. I have never had issues with my prescriptions such as them not being ready when they indicate they will be. A couple of times they didn't have the medication on hand and I had to wait for them to get it the next day and on another that I absolutely needed I had to drive across town to another Rite Aid to obtain it. I prefer Costco and Target. Rite Aid is much better than Walgreens, CVS and Walmart.

Had a prescription sent over the night before and called at 3pm asking if it was really yet and they told me to wait a couple of hours till I can come pick it up. It is now 8pm and I came to pick up my medication and they still haven't worked on it... Very unreliable in my opinion since I now have to wait even more till it is finally ready.

I would always go to Rite Aid in East Walnut since it is the closest one to my home! Employees are nice, helpful, and friendly! Very spacious and tidy! Great customer service! 👍

Last time I went I had a really rude guy check me out and then today I've called the pharmacy 6 times and no answer I had to call a 7th time and talk to someone from the non pharmacy area so they could walk back to see what's the problem because I wasn't the first customer to call and complain!

I really like going to this store ,but i dont even get greated every time.i had try to get a prescription done they give me attitude.like there like if you go to Walgreen why you coming here?a Asian girl told me that.now that i tried give them another chance this time they made me wait like 5 min before they came up to me and there were no people waiting then i asked them about the meds and they tell me they dont have those mixtures of meds....they dont even now me there just rude like that.

Rude!Rude!Rude! It's sad that we go to these people for life saving care,e.g.(medications) etc..for them to treat us as outcast,not everyone is abusing their meds or cheatin the system,would not recommend this particular pharmacy to anyone!!!
