Been coming here for 3 years. They are very helpful, knowledgeable and treat their customers respectfully. They have many products and reasonable prices. All of my experiences from this feed store have been great, the store is neat and organized. They have answered any questions I have. I have went to them for chicken feed, rabbit food, hay, bedding flakes dog and cat food.

We stopped in to check out the prices on feed today (6/23/2021), but just couldn't get past how awful the birds looked. There were chicks that had gotten out, and no one seemed to be concerned about it. The chicks that were safely in their brooders were not in too good of shape, as they were crowded and picking on eachother leaving opened wounds. There was a young, about 6 week old, chick that had been, obviously, dead and flat for days in a brooder. You could tell that the other chicks had been pecking at the dead one. There was a large rooster that had an infected eye, which could have easily been treated with the products they have for sale. Although the young men that were there were very friendly and acknowledged us walking in as soon as we stepped in, and they even offered their help, I just couldn't even consider supporting this store with my business, because of the sad state of the birds. They even have Serama chickens, that we have been wanting so badly to add to our flock, but I just couldn't spend my money there, knowing that it would condone the sorry care of those animals. I hope that this review is seen by the owners and that the quality of care for the animals in their store is greatly approved, because I would much rather support local businesses when I can, but I just couldn't this time, I'm sorry.

Small store with a decent sized warehouse enclosure. Pick up my puppy shots here whenever I need to. More bird items than I would have expected, decent one-stop shop for basic pet needs and wants.

I normally do all my dog food shopping online but I forgot to place my order so I couldn’t wait for normal delivery time. A buddy of mine had referred me to this place in the past so I decided stop by since they carry the type of food I buy for my pets. I was blown away Immediately by their pricing so much that instead of just buying 1 bag Of dog food to get me by while my ordered shipped I purchased 2 50lb bags and cancelled my online order. Huston Feed store will be my new place to shop for my dog food from now on. Very friendly and professional staff! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone!!!!

We passed by and decided to check out the store and saw some chickens that had escaped which was the first warning sign. We had continued to look around the store at the feed then in the brooders and cages. When we looked in the brooders we noticed that there was water however there was no food. With no food for the birds they started to pick on each other resulting in them looking bad. As we were on our way out we took one more look at the birds and noticed a dead chicken in the corner of one of the brooder. After looking at it a bit longer we realized it had been dead for a few days. I would not shop here unless they decided to fix the way they take care of their birds. As someone who hatches and raises chickens this made me sad for the birds, and mad at the care takers of the birds. I will not be buying feed or animals from Houston feed store.

Went to get chicken feed and the gentleman that helped me was very nice. He mixed up a bunch of stuff in her feed and she was in heaven eating all the worms. No one has ever mixed those in there for her before.

Very bad and illegally ran feed store. Breaking federal animal right laws left and right. For example the cohabitation of live poultry with rabbits and guinea pigs. This falls under the laws pertaining to neglect and abuse of animals. Not to mention sales of illegal/controlled substances in store to the homeless community who swarm the parking lot bringing in animals in exchange for a bag of their next fix.

Just such a wounderful experiance. Jessee and Carlos are just so helpfull but the youngsters loading the feed really need to learn about there products because they are no help. playing on there phone is more important than doing there job. this doesnt take away from the wounderful experiance though. If you need supplies for birds or dogs there isn't and store around that compares to it. highly recomend shopping here just dont feed the children.
