I thought the options of dog and cat food was better than the Oxnard location on Rose Ave. I wish you could get the same deals in-store as online without having to select "pick-up" in store. I don't need the employees to gather my items all the time. I just wish you could can scan a coupon on your phone type of thing. I did see a sign in the front of the store about some of these coupons I think a few times. However, not everything is posted on the sign.I provided photos from Decemeber 2023 with the options of dog and cat food.

Manager on duty is absurd. I asked for the hiring manager and instantly she goes, "Hello sir I can't hear what you're saying." I then repeated it multiple times calmly and she just hangs up. Than she proceeded to send me straight to voicemail 3 times. Then the 4th time calling back she plays the same game instantly saying "I cant hear you sir." So I say, "If you cant hear me how do you know I'm a sir then?" She goes, "Well now I can hear you but before I couldnt."You just said you weren't able to hear me....She says she answered the previous calls but I wasn't telling her what I wanted.STRAIGHT LIE!! WENT STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL! ALL THREE TIMES!Then I asked for her name and why she was so hostile. She refused to give it, saying, "I don't need to. There aren't any hiring managers I'm the only manager."Then say that from the beginning instead of acting like so incredibly rude the whole time and being difficult.

This is a great pet store with a good selection of items. I wish they were more competitive with their pricing, but I guess everything costs more these days. Having worked at a pet store myself for a few years in my early twenties, I appreciate the cleanliness of the store and good health of the animals.They have cats and kittens available for adoption, fish, a few reptiles, birds, and the usual dog/cat supplies; including, food, toys, bedding, grooming products, etc.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because this store always seems short-staffed to me. We often have to wait quite a while to flag someone down for crickets or fish; many times there are 6 people in line with only one checker, etc. Employees are always sweet, kind, and helpful so that is awesome.

I love this PetSmart I know there's other PetSmarts around the city but this one overall is clean the associates were very nice and helpful I enjoy coming here I had about my son's bearded dragon here and recently purchased a new tank which was very not pricey very convenient hats off to the store manager for providing great customer care clean atmosphere and friendly Associates

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. the manager here idk her name but wears glasses w curly hair will not let you buy anything without giving her an explanation as to why you want it.. not only do her and her employees have horrible customer services skills but on top of it they harass you for answers and to how you will use whatever it is you’re buying. Ridiculous. never coming here again

Do not bring your dog here for grooming! First time coming here and my dog had a cut under his eye. Called & spoke to the manager MJ and said she did notice a scratch. My dog did not have any scratches plus this was a cut. Anyways we kept going back and forth about the situation & the problem.was not resolved. It was a waste of time, manager needs more training with customer service.Don't waste your money here!!

The manager handled a power outage with poise & finesse. I waited in line for 10 minutes to check out. The moment I got up to the counter and the manager asked me for my phone number, the building power went out!I belly laughed because it was funny, but almost none else did. He got right on top of the situation. He turned it around for many of the folks. I'll be back soon

I purchased tropical fish. This store had a medium variety of fish. The check out clerk noticed a pin hole in the top part of the bag which was leaking air. The fish were placed in a different bag and made it home safely.

I love PetSmart but every time I go to this location the register clerks have different ideas about how to check out. Is there only 1 lane that feeds multiple registers or does each register have their own lane!?!I went to lane 2 which was shorter and was told I was cutting line but the next time others were allowed to do the same. One lane would be nice but clerks aren't consistent and it isn't marked clearly. I don't like being corrected in public like l've done some serious crime only to witness other doing the same this without notice.

Every time I walk in PetSmart and walk by the aisle of dead fish in tiny coffee cup sized containers, I am reminded that no I don’t want to buy from here and drive to another pet store that sells the food I want for my pets but not this.The staff is nice, the store is nice, great location but come on now, stop the nonsense with the poor fish.

Great grooming experience! This was my first time at this location and from now on will be my only. Mary did an amazing job! My German Shepherd went in shedding like crazy, dirty and smelly and came out so fresh and clean! No shedding and no crazy hair; he was freshly scented and had a beautiful coat! I highly recommend here. All the employees were nice and helpful (I needed an adjustment on the pricing because I was rebooked and the lady in the salon couldn't adjust it, so the manager helped out with that). Great experience all around! Definitely recommend coming here for your fur babies!

The grooming salon is great! My dog can be dog-reactive, and the groomers have always been very accommodating for us (including taking us as a walk-in appointment near closing time, or when it's typically less busy in the store). Her nails always come out looking great and we're usually in/out of the store quickly.

I adopted a kitten at PetSmart for the first time ten days ago, and had kind of a mixed experience.My kitten is so cute and sweet, and I absolutely love him. Lots of kittens to choose from. Already neutered. Paperwork was straightforward. All the gear we needed, and in cute colors and styles.However, he was $150. I adopted my other cat from a shelter and she was basically free, so I was expecting something around $75…not $150.He was covered in fleas. Like…COVERED in fleas. I bought a flea brush and brushed out 22 fleas just the first night, and still ended up seeing tons on him the next day. PetSmart doesn’t treat them for fleas prior to adoption, and you’re still paying the full $40 for CapStar pills once you notice all of those fleas!Too, they give you a free vet visit for Paw Works, but the appointments are few and far between. The earliest one available for me was 10 days out (not ideal, wanted to get him his vet visit asap).If you’re cool with the adoption price and the knowledge that they won’t give your kitten any flea treatment prior to adoption, I would still recommend them…but overall, my experience at the shelter was more clean/stress-free/inexpensive

I just came out of Petsmart and they don’t donate their foods anymore to people that are needy or even to the shelters so they throw their opened food in the garbage way to go. Petsmart,,, you suck.

This location has by far the most friendly staff. Most of the staff are super young so they don't have much info on products or are really able to give you pros and cons of the products that the store carries. But the store is well maintained and well stocked. I pass on the grooming services from horror stories that I've been told from others.

Stop leaving reptiles and other small animals in the tiniest of display enclosures to save on space and money, and stop selling inhumane cages for hamsters and other rodents. A plastic tiny cage is a rip off and way too small for them. The smaller the animal is does not mean they only require the space of a fly.

Always dog-friendly, great place to take puppy for acclimation and cat-gazing. Reasonable pricing, helpful staff, lots of choices for toys and treats AND, Ms. Doobs loves checking out the hamsters. No nose to the glass stuff, just a glance from afar. I've little doubt she's dreaming of hamster-cookies as opposed to sugarplums right now, but that's dog-appropriate. She loves the smells, go figure.

The staff was very friendly you can tell they really love dogs. I took my fur babies to get groomed and they did such a great job on them ! They gave them a summer cut and took out all of the knots they had. If you want a pet friendly grooming come here!

Went for grooming, grabbed a couple extras. Harness didn't fit, super easy to exchange. Groomer (Ricky, I think) was AMAZING. My pupper had a bad day, so he rescheduled for a morning appointment. He was awesome with my little buddy, came out happy and clean and smelling nice with a cute little bandana.

The cashier who I assume was a supervisor/manager was rude when I didn't want to sign up for their spam program. Cancelled the transaction and walked out. Went half mile down the road to Petco and had a much better experience

Good Pet Store.. The fish selection is great and well cared for. They adopt out Kittens and Cats. The employee's are helpful and friendly. Prices are average to high.

Sierah did a great job with my Maltese. Petco always cut all his hair off when I asked for a trim… but not Sierah at PetSmart! She knew exactly what I was looking for and she made my little guy beautiful!

We came in to see the cats and try to adopt one. The lady helping was so rude.. she didn’t wanna show us the cat unless we committed to taking him before even interacting with him. She obviously didn’t want to help from the start. My son thinks he’s allergic so I wanted to see how he did before committing .. well she still said no. And seemed in a hurry to get us out of the store. Petsmart needs to know how to hire better people as this should have been a good experience for my kids and instead they left disappointed.
