Website is very misleading. First of all, on the home page on the top right corner it says "Guaranteed satisfaction. Easy returns, no problem unsolved. Ever!” This is very misleading. I purchased an automatic door that goes into a sliding door based on the nice online videos demonstrating this product and what seemed to be a straightforward return policy. My sliding door is 88" tall. The height of a regular door is clearly visible on the selection tab at 75” - 80 1/4” but the height of the Tall doors is not clearly viewable on the website. All it says is +30 when you click on it as a selection and does not give a range like the regular height door. I assumed the Tall door would be the next range up from 80" to 30" extra inches. However, I came to find out that the Tall door apparently fits 93" - 96" only. In addition, during the steps to purchase this product, there is never a disclaimer that says to be sure to be accurate about the door height and a 20% restocking fee on a $1000 item. There should have been a disclaimer that popped up before finalizing the purchase given the high amount for restocking fee and that the customer would be responsible for return shipping on a heavy product, especially for a $1000 product. One should not have to find that in the fine print that is listed somewhere else on their webpage. However, when you do click on the more details part of the returns they make very bold statements with checks on The BEST Refund Policy, The BEST Warranty, and the BEST Shipping. Under "The BEST Refund Policy, it says 90 Days, We Pay Shipping Both Ways!” As for the best refund policy, I don’t see a best refund policy here when the customer has to pay for the return shipping and a 20% restocking fee. In addition, they simply said they had no solution for the height of my sliding door which does not comply with “no problem unsolved. Ever" as stated on their home page. Customer service had very short and rude responses to my emails. I ended up spending an extra $250 ($48 return shipping and 20% restocking fee) on a brand new unused product I could not use nor find a solution too, not to mention all of my precious time unpacking, repacking, and then taking it back to FedEx to return. They state they want to make a raving fan but this was quite the opposite experience. Their website needs to be looked into for misleading statements and ethics.

I love my WiFi Power Pet Door! My fur babies love the freedom to come and go as they please and I love that don't have to wake up in the middle of the night for their potty breaks. Before I committed to buying the door I called customer service a few times and spoke with Heather and Brian they were both very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Heather also gave me her direct email should I have any other questions I could reach her directly.Great customer service!!!

Heather, the customer service manager, told me it was best I return my WIFI pet door because it is only meant to be operated by the electronic collars, not the apps remote controller when outside of the home, even though the website advertises controlling from "anywhere". Heather became argumentative with me and was upset that I was mad my $800 dog door does not function as advertised. I had to leave work early each day this week to go and let my dogs out, instead of using the fancy new $800 WIFI dog door I purchased to avoid this. She offered no apology and instead says, “Its best you return the door since you are not happy with it, I'll email a return label." Click, hangs up on me, not giving me any chance to respond. I called back and got another CSR, explained my situation and this person was also unhelpful, rude and lacking empathy, they suggested I return the door as well. I asked to speak with their supervisor and was routed back to Heather, who again, argued with me and defended their position on why they ended our phone call. I finally accepted the prepaid return label because who wouldn't at that point?? Additionally, I purchased 2 MS5 collars with the door because we have 3 dogs. I was supposed to get 3 MS5 collars and instead got 2 MS5 and one MS4. I am still waiting on a response from the owner, who Heather stated their name is Nick. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

We purchased a Bluefang 5 in 1 collar a little over a year ago and it has been very disappointing. Although the collar did work, it and the other collars they sell are designed to only take their batteries to ensure you continue to spend money with them. Since we bought the collar we have spent $113.40 on batteries and it would have been even more if we hadn't been buying them in bulk 12 packs and when they were on sale. On top of that they even sent us an additional 12 pack for free due to the short battery life. It is great they did that but I think it's unreasonable for a collar like this to go through over 30 batteries in just over a year. The 5 in 1 collar has batteries that are encased in an additional plastic shell which is thrown out with the batteries every time you change them which is poor design and very wasteful. They claim their battery pack design is to make both 3V and 6V power available to the processor and shock transformer for efficiency and longer battery life (ya right). I can think of much better designs that would use a re-usable battery holder that you could put your own actual high quality battery cells into. Their battery cases have very small and delicate contacts that you sometimes need to bend to make them make proper contact with the collar circuit board. The batteries are also over-priced considering they are not high quality name brand batteries like Energizer or Duracell. They claim that the batteries are made by Panasonic but I opened up one of the dead battery cases and it just said "made in China" on the batteries. Since we bought it the collar has been going through batteries more and more quickly and has gotten to the point that we are just not going to keep buying batteries for it. The speaker for beeping and clicking also stopped working after just under a year so that functionality is now gone. Considering how much these collars cost it is very disappointing that they aren't more robust, are so poorly designed, and designed to make you spend money on their over-priced batteries.

We are coming up on our second anniversary with our armor flex door, and I couldn't be happier! This door has had the endurance for our fur baby's everyday high energy. We have a 40lb goldendoodle named Daisy and a 16 lb Shih Tzu. This door is perfect for them both. We recommend High Tech Pet products to everyone. You won't be disappointed.

When the app stopped working due to a national emergency, they emailed me instructions that helped me reset it effortlessly from home in fewer than five minutes. Further, they mailed me a new collar after I dropped mine and had to duct tape it together. They have always been efficient, available, flexible, and enthusiastic to help. I appreciate them!

Customer Service is the absolute worst. They will not respond to emails for months, and they will never answer the phone or call back.Additionally, expect to buy many, many collars until you throw this whole thing away; and that is at $50 a piece. I am down $250 so far on top of the price of the door and I have only owned the thing for 8 months. The door is reasonably well made, and I was happy with it for a time. But the costs are quickly adding up and their collar is way overpriced to begin with and very poorly made and after they come off, the dog chews them up. I am not hopeful that I will receive a response from them anytime soon regarding my issues.

We have been dealing with this door for about a year and regret ever buying it!!! Here is our story.... we live on a mountain and wanted the ability to have our dogs let themselves in and out while we are at work during the day. We also wanted something that would let them in without letting in wild animals. We thought this was the perfect solution. We bought the pet door, a new house door, three collar sensors and hired our handyman to put it in. At this time, we have spent well over $1,000. Then, the door wouldn’t open sometimes, I called customer service and they said the sensitivity too high. What!!? How can it be too high if it isn’t opening??? Anyway.... I’ve made calls after calls over the last year because the door wouldn’t work, or the sensors would break. They ended up sending a new door. Same problems. They would replace sensors but the part on the back to hold it onto the collar would break....over and over again. We would have to search through the yard to try and find the thing. We were hoping this would make our dogs day more enjoyable but they would get stuck inside or outside....which is unacceptable!!!! So we finally spent more money on another doggy door and house door. More money down the drain. If you buy this door, save time, money, and a year of FRUSTRATION by just throwing it away.

This door is peace of mind. When I am at work I know my dogs are out of the cold, rain or heat. They can come in to water, food and bedding. No more running home to let the dogs out or worried sick if called to a late meeting. Because the door closes behind them, I am not concerned that other pets, raccoons, rats or pests are in my house or garage. The company is one of the best I have ever worked with. High Tech Pet have gone above and beyond expected in customer service. This product is worth every penny.

Great products and amazing customer service!I installed the PX-2 with Wall Tunnel in 2018. I've got a very active Pitbull who likes going in and out. September 2022 I replaced the drive motor and cable assembly. This morning the door wouldn't open, turns out the cable had snapped, I called customer service and was informed the part was still under warranty and it would be replaced at no charge and shipped same day. (I paid to have it overnighted)

Product was good until they did an update to the apo for the bluefang 3 in 1 collar. Now my dog barks and leaves her yard. I have been working with the company for over a month to resolve this is completely frustrating. I do not recommend this product to anyone at this time.now can not even find the app on the google play store and the links they emailed me for work arounds no longer work either. Get it together and I demand a refund plus all the bateries i have had to buy.

Thanks for inflating the cost of "shipping and handling" why don't you just call it a "handling fee"! USPS first class for a 3oz package should only cost $1-$2 dollars and you charges us $11???? Even priority mail based on weight does not cost that. So wrong!

I wish I could go back 10 years and tell myself not to buy that Power Pet dog door even though your wife thinks it's so cool. I have easily spent over $2000 with this company over these 10 years and has been very frustrating to say the least. Our first Power Pet door in our former home was constantly breaking. The only redeeming aspect is that they did send me free replacement parts on a couple occasions. When we moved into our current home I wanted to switch companies/ products but my wife and I knew this company made a containment fence. We thought we'd be optimistic and give it a shot since their Blue Fang product would run both the door and fence. The new door actually has worked decently well but the collars eat batteries (which, like other reviews here have stated, are extremely expensive) like mad and the associated app is HORRIBLE!!!! The app adds new dog profiles out of the blue and won't switch between dogs quickly. A collar that we bought just weeks ago stopped making noise so we can't use the tones. I could go on about how frustrated we are but let's just suffice to say I'm incredibly disappointed. If you're considering buying any High Tech Pet product I would caution you because like I said in the beginning of my post I wish I had never bought any of their products. Unfortunately, I'm in too deep with this company and don't want to replace the door but I HATE the collars and app!Response to HTP's response:I've been wrestling with this issue in my head for many days but after rereading their last response to me I've decided to go ahead and make an update. Below you will find my email reply to HTP's offer (that I had refrained from posting here until now).Yes, I did receive the collar about 2 weeks ago and have been using it. I do like the charge life of the collar but was disappointed that no documentation/ user manual was included with the package. I haven't taken the time to go to blue fang/ high tech pet websites to investigate the features of the collar yet but need to as the collar beeps with the containment fence but doesn't deliver any stimulus (I checked it using my hand). To be perfectly honest, one replacement collar isn't quite the incentive to change my review given that I actually have 2 dead blue fang collars in my possession that need to be replaced (under a year since purchase and they simply quit working) and I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with your company over the past several years. If you can, please fact check me on this because I would love you to know just how many doors, collars and batteries I have bought. As I mentioned earlier, I have 5 dogs and if your company really wants me to revise my rating I'll send you back my collection of dead collars (both blue fang and older ones that I haven't thrown away) and you can send me an additional 4 collars.I am willing to revise my review but need to feel like High Tech Pet truly wants to earn it and not simply placate me.So HTP, please tell me, on which part of our "deal" did I reneg? I am not satisfied with the outcome and therefore do not feel that I should change my rating simply because you sent me one collar and a few emails. What's more is that I'm shocked that a company would try to make a lame attempt at shaming a customer when my review seems to be in good company (see attached screenshot of the Consumer Affairs rating). My goal in all of this is to give potential customers a realistic picture of this company and products. The products work but buyers need to be aware of the potential pitfalls. I'm truly not trying to get free collars - just simply get what I paid for. I'll return the RX-10 to you if you like because I don't want the world thinking I reneged on a deal. I simply want the world to be wary about doing business with HTP.
